Well just got done with a very annoying nl100 session where i played 40,141 hands. Took about 19.75 hours to complete. Had set over set maybe 15 times, KK vs AA about 10. All in all, really enjoyable. I also managed to get it in preflop with 2 cards under 10 (my speciality) about 15 times and only win 2 . Meh.
Still at around +6.5k profit for the month at only nl100 so I can still make it back. I def didnt think I was playing awful besides getting it all in preflop so many times with retarded hands, but just running really bad. Low point was down around 4k and managed to get back up to only down 800 but then meh. Also made around 15k vpp so about 750 dollars in rakeback which is decent.

Other news I have also started staking a few people for nl100/nl50. I'm not to excited about it right now after this session but still going to try to work hard with it and see how it works out. Some new 14 percent 3bettors on the way imo.

Ive been playing a bit lately but compared to the volume I was putting in before its pretty small. I think I kinda burnt myself out and I had a pretty unsucessful shot when I tried to move up so it really discouraged me so I decided to slow the poker aspect of my life down a bit.

Ive pretty much been living the life though during this little break. Ive been going out lots, hitting up the beach, chilling with friends and meeting lots of new people. Last weekend I went to Bayfest which is a completely shit show lol. Its actually a huge 2 day concert where a bunch of country groups play. This year the two headliners were Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley.

The last thing I was going there for was the country bands lol. I just thought it would be a lot of fun to go there and get smashed with my buddies and meet some new people. I ended up going down with 3 of my buddies who I went to high school / played hockey with. We got there pretty early on Friday and managed to pick out a sweet spot to set up the camp site lol. My fucking air matress pump was broken which really pissed me off because I didnt really want to sleep on the hard ground but Ill get into that part in a bit lol.

There was another group of atleast 30 people set up right across from us and it turned out my buddies and I knew over half of them. They partying it up pretty hard so we went over and joined them in some games of flip cup and beer pong. Turns out I suck at both but I wanted to get wasted so who cares. By the time 7:00 came around everyone in this camp site was shit faced. We all decided to head over to the show to grab some more drinks and get a good spot.

When we get to the show my one buddy starts talking to this girl he knew through one of his ex g/fs or some shit and she had a friend with her who was dece but my other buddy was one step ahead of me and started wheelin her lol. So anyways they both take off with those girls to get some drinks and shit and my buddy Wes and I decide to take a walk around and see if we know anymore people here.

So were walking around and someone kicks me in the ass. I turn around and its one of my ex g/fs and a few of her friends. I had sorta started talking to her again maybe 4 weeks ago. We were still pretty good friends but there was still a little something there. The week before bayfest we actually hooked up one night. Everyone was checking out this new bar in town and she was there and we just hit off lol. I wont go into details though... you guys can imagine lol. I actually had no idea that she was going to be here at bayfest though so it was a bit of a surprise.

Wes and I ended up going to grab some more drinks with them and then we grabbed a spot in the crowd to watch the show. I thougth it might be a bit akward for Wes becasue he didnt know any of them but it turns out he caught the eye of one of the girls and during the show I looked back and there he is making out with one of them lol.

Tim McGraw was the headliner on Friday night. I knew maybe 3 of his songs lol. He was arlight I guess but half the time I was trying to hold my ground in the crowd. There was so much shoving it was fucking rediculous. Im actually realyl surprised that I didnt see any fights or anything during the show.

After Timmy finished his set we went out to the front to try and find everyone they came with and my two other buddies. I call them up and Im like where you guys at? My buddy says "Were at the camp site... really bust man gotta go" lol! So my ex ends up asking me to come back to her friends house where she was staying. Wes had hit it off with one of her friends so he came with us too lol. This was awesome since my air matress was fucked and Im pretty sure my buddies had both the tents we bought down occupied. We end up going back there and everyone went to bed. My ex and I decided it would be a good idea to hit up the hott tub lol. Defenitly a good call. Again.. no details for you guys lol.

The next morning I was feeling pretty rough. It was noting a joint couldnt fix though haha. Wes and I got a ride back to the camp site around 1030 in the morning and when we got back people were already getting wasted. Round 2. Not much stuff happened during the day this time except for a lot of drinking games and shit lol. We played a pretty cool game that I havent played before. You need 4 bamboo sticks and 4 cups, 2 for each team. YOu set them up with a bit of space between them... enough for a frisbee to fit through and then put the cups on top of the sticks. The object is to get hte frisbee between the sticks or to knock the cups off. You get 3 points if you get it between the sticks, 1 if you knock the other teams cup off but if they catch the cup beore it hits the ground after its been knocked off they get 2 points. If anyone knows the name of this game tell me lol.

Around 6:00 my two buddies fucked off to go have dinner with those two girls they met last night so again it was Wes and I on our own lol. We ended up drinking there beer since they left. Fuck em lol. Around 8:00 We stumbled over to the show. We ended up meeting my ex and her friends again. Saturday night the headliner was Brad Paisley. He rocked the shit outta the crowd that night. I was really impressed with him. He sure can rip the shit out of a stratocaster lol. Hes got a lot of good songs too so I really enjoyed it.

After the show when we were walking out I saw my two buddies with those girls. I went over to talk to them and they seemed really pissed lol. I guess the one girl was all over another guy during the show and the other one had a b/f ahahahahahaha. Serves em right. So they were like yo lets go back to the camp site and drink some beers. Wes and I were like fuck nah were leavin with these ladies. Peace queers lol. So again we went back to my ex's friends house for the night. Turns out I paid for a camp site for nothing lol.

In the morning I woke up around 9:00 and look at my phone. 12 text messages and 15 missed calls lol. Those guys were all over us to get back there so we could leave and get back home. The good thing was they were stuck there until we got back because Wes drove and we certainly were not in any hurry to get back to there lol. We ended up grabbing some breakfast with girls and then getting back to the campsite at 11:00. When we got there they were both sitting in the car and had it all packed up. Nice! lol. And yea... that was the weekend at Bayfest... what a great weekend it was.

Damn this is getting long lol. I guess Ill talk a little bit of poker with you guys now. I have been a bit here and there still and its acutally been going really really well lol. I decided though that there are a few good sites out there that I need to bonus whore. Sicne Im Canadian there is a lot of Euro sites that I can play on still so Im going to give em a go. Starting in August Im going to to go clear a few bonuses that PartyPoker has. I heard that the games there are pretty soft so hopefully I can make some nice coin while Im there. After that the plan is to go over to iPoker. I heard its possible to get 50% rakeback over there so with my volume + other bonuses I should make a killing while Im there. For the remainder of the month Im just going to stick it out on FTP and try to get some more points so I can get that 24 inch monitor they have in the store. Hopefully by the time I go back to school in September Im ready to start 100nl! Wish me luck guys.

Last night while waiting on Battlefield 1943 to dl onto my ps3, i played 10PLO for about 45 minutes. In that forty-five minutes, i was up 4 buyins. Hells Yes.

Having an MRI done ASAP, don't know when yet. I told them how time sensitive this was, and they said they could try to get me in this afternoon, but i have a feeling it will be monday or tuesday. Most likely, it will not require surgery.
HOWEVER. I told him that there were two distinct pops. One probably the pec. When he did a motion test, i was laying down on a table, he grabbed my arm, which was completely relaxed and moved it in a circle, and there were two pops felt, one by my collar bone, and other in my shoulder. So, the MRI that i am having will tell #1. How severe the pec tear is (the worst is 2 months, but more likely 2-4 weeks), and #2. it will tell if/where the tear in my shoulder is which will 90% need surgery.
Also i strained my lat. but thats nothing lol. no big deal

But Don't get me wrong, this is not a whine post. After the super brutal Doomswitch 2 months ago I don't think the cards can make me angry anymore and I know more than well how poker can be. Please don't think I am another TAGfish crying that cards are wrong.

This is an angry post regarding my personal failure, as I know that if I did stick with 3-4 tables I would be at least $250 above this result with my red line at 0 and a ton of extra dead money collected as I do so well when I 2-4 table.




Whats Next?
Well, this was just poker. On monday I am starting at my new Job, so Poker will be purely a hobby for me.

I didn't work for last 12 months and I must tell you that it sucked.
I need a regular schedule, contact with people and a general purpose in my life other that just grinding Poker and read LP ;o


After I start working (bought myself a new suit Yesterday ;o)I will sign up for the gym and keep myself hopefully busy, and I will finally be able to play poker only when I am at the peak of interest in it, and hopefully play only at 2-4 tables again.


Oh, and I HAVE to move to NL100 when I reach $2k again. It was a huge mistake I didn't as I don't have these urges when I play with 20BI.

Just got back from Macau today, played 10/25 HKD, 3k max (~8 HKD = 1 USD) at the Wynn. Bought in for 3k left with 7355. Pretty nice considering the whole table was nitty and scared to lose. Don't think it's worth going back there to play again. Just sat there and bluffed all day, luckboxed two pair Q's and 5's on some weak/tight lady with KK. Can't wait to get back home and play at Atlantic City. So many more conventioneers, tourists, and retards.

Anyway, just wondering, does anyone know how legal it is to play online poker in China? Going to be working there for 3-6 months and I don't want some bullshit to happen to me. Also, are there any underground poker clubs in Beijing that I won't get killed in?

So I've managed to stick to my retirement from online-poker a month or something...however the evil forces that's now within me due to poker dragged my ass back to the tables (or was it just my friends nagging!?)..

However, as I said I longed to play more live and so I have done. Not so much but with some success. Finished 2nd in a MTT (30entrants) at the casino last week and have won like 500bb or something in cashgames (1/2 SEK).

Have read a little articles and so on poker and with two monthly installments too spend I decided to deposit 200e just to play NL10 to start with in order to build confidence and structure my game (would like to thank Gumster and TheGuru for their recommendations in a earlier post). So I deposited 3days ago, have played about 3k hands, running 9bb/100hands and is up about 8,5bi:s after a 5.5bi loss yesterday. This time around I use pokertracker and it is really a nice tool. I also play fewer tables, 4 at once, which implies me making sounder decisions...Also I don't wanna chase money anymore as I did before. Have raised my income a little and in 6months I receive a huge salary raise so no need to chase pokerwins really. Poker is a hobby for me and I just want to get comfortable with playing for "ice-cream money" as the TheGuru stated it.

Wish me luck...(btw anyone up for a propbet on me not writing something like "poker is rigged, me quit" in like 1month!? =))

i am plowing through nl25. without programs or coaching. but i play to not spew. not spew wins the fucking monies. until what limit does [not spew] = win monies?

i want to get better. i want to become better at this game. i'm really starting to love this game. there was a point in time where i stopped posting as many threads. cause i figured i saw all there was to see in the hand summary. i could read deep and figure out everything.

gradually i started seeing advice from some of the better people (mainly tt and baal (<--i know wtf)) and it was somewhat incredible how well they thought out a hand.

this post is somewhat a bunch of rambling and nonsense, but i guess i can conclude it in this measure. i want to become a better player. so much so that i'm going to inconvenience many of you (as well as myself, i hate to be faggot). with many jackass threads in the nl 25 section.

Sorry for the spam.

I was taking a look at my NL10 stats, and I was wondering if anyone could suggest any adjustments to my preflop ranges from any position, since I'm moving up and would like to fix a lot of my leaks. I've had a few discussions on the side, mostly regarding stealing from the sb, which I almost never do. I know my button/cutoff need to get much looser, but I'm not sure what hands to add to that range. Right now I'm raising any ace, any suited king, most unsuited kings, sc's, pairs, anything that looks kind of pretty. I only have 20k hands here, sorry about that.

Kind of weird how counter intuitive this game is. I'm running well and I've made a lot this month (mostly 2/4, some 3/6) but the truth is I don't think I'm playing very very well (and it's sad to see my red line tanking so hard when I've historically had a breakeven red line). I've prided myself on the fact that, for about a year now, I've only gotten much much better each month, but I feel like I've stagnated recently. Hopefully I can change that soon and get back in the process of noticing vast improvements in my game, because that's prob the greatest feeling for me in poker (besides winning money ofc )

I also feel extremely guilty for not grinding as much. It's been a problem I've had for so long, where I have sooo much free time but I'm so shortterm results oriented that I don't want to "Ruin a good day" by playing another session if I have like 3 hours free, because I don't want to end up down for the day etc. etc. The reality is my implied hourly is like 100 an hour just by playing even 1/2 (which isn't my normal stake anymore), and yet I'm passing this up because I'm a shortterm results nit. I DEFINITELY need to change this and start treating this game like a true professional.

Oh, and coaching. I never advertised it on LP, but since it's the trend these days I might as well just mention it although I've got a busy schedule coming up. I've coached many players, specifically at the micros and lower stakes. I never advertised on LP because I don't feel like my results are as marketable or my name is as credible, so most if not all of my students have been from word of mouth only. So I'm not going to lie, and filter/edit my HEM results to show that I'm some 5ptbb bad ass over 500k hands, but I do think I have an extremely good foundation for Micro stakes and 100 and 200nl. I've even written an entire series of powerpoints dedicated to beating micros up to 100nl, which I use for micro limit students. I'm also a previous student of aejones so the theory I teach is not just some random standardized stuff off of 2p2 but with actual game theory application to it and an entire way of approaching poker applied by many high stakes players. But I'm not going to go out of my way to try to get students because it doesn't matter much for me, but if you are interested, and gauging the amount of interest, I can possibly set something up. I coach 100nl/200nl players for 125/hr, and cheaper for micro students in group setting.

Ok, first of all, I don't get anything for writing this, as far as I know no one at Unibet reads my blog and whatever else crap one is supposed to write in the beginning. Consider this a recommendation from your favourite midstakes Sweede (except Pinball, he's arguably a funnier person then me, and saki might've won more money for people, so like, I guess I'm 3rd).

If you want to play on Prima, play on Unibet. It might take them a while, but when they consider you an important costumer they treat you really, really good. They are always polite, the VIP-support has been working super well for the last year or so and God knows I've been giving them some shit about short stacks, how the hell one is supposed to get from Heathrow in the middle of the night and if they could kindly please turn of my fucking doomswitch. Variations of that has been sent from my E-mail with and phone with a pretty high frequency for the last maybe 18 months and I've yet to get one even slightly rude reply. If something is fucked up, you tell them and they do their best to fix it. At least on two occasions I know that they've gone out of their way to check out pretty obscure requests and tried to find alternative solutions when the platform (microgaming) wouldn't do shit about stuff.

Overall I'd like to say that as long as nothing to extreme happens and S and M (heh, I'll just call then S&M from now on, hadn't thought of that before) are left as the VIP-support for Sweden there's no way I'll use any other site as my "main site" (although, FTOPS are fun).

As for poker they told me that if I could get 45 VIP-points in a month (roughly 70k hands of 5/10, I think) they'll put me in Unibet Open Prague for free. So I figured I had to start grinding. The last 51 hours or so I've played 10k hands. Down a lot in 2/4, 3/6 and 5/10 but up more in 10/20. Overall I'm having my best month ever with a lot of margin so I'm contemplating posting a rather sick graph at the end of the month.

Seeing all these coaching posts lately I kind of want to get into it. I have no coaching experience though so I kind of want to just try it out. So if there's any interest, I'd start coaching up to 1/2 no limit 6 max, and i'd just start at $25/hr for now to see if I'm any good at coaching and if I am good at it, and theres intrest, I'd raise rates. For the hour we could do whatever, I could sweat you, review a video of yours, go over hand histories, talk theory, you could watch me or any other ideas you may have. Here's my lifetime stats, and my graph is posted in the previous blog. Over the last 150k hands, i've been making $70/hr mostly 4 tabling between 1/2 and 2/4 and I'm sure that rate is currently higher. I think I can offer help to anyone who isn't able to beat up to and including 200nl. I wouldn't feel comfortable coaching 400nl though i feel like I'm a winner there. My most recent results you can see on pokertableratings, my screen name is boberish on full tilt.

Well I left for vegas on the 16 and just got back in yesterday. Had a blast with a bunch of friends. First 2 days i went to the evolution fighting game tourney and played some games/hung out with people. Then we basically just hung out around the city checking out everything and eating at some sick places.

Last 2 days I played a decent amount of live poker at Excalibur. The poker room is pretty bad there but the dealers are cool, and there's a decent amount of tourists stopping by. I was kinda leery as I didn't bring that much to play. Only about 4 buyins for nl200. I quickly realized that nl200 live is probably the easiest thing ever. It's literally nl5 or nl10 but with more money. Really easy and extremely enjoyable. Even though I'm used to 9-12 tabling I found live really fun just chatting with the people playing. It's basically free money if you put in the time. Think I played like 18 or so hours which paid for my entire trip. Pretty sweet imo.

Lesson learned though is to play a LOT more live. At least 1 decent session per day, and to bring a bigger live roll just so I won't have any fear of busting it. I'll also probably play some at MGM and Mandalay Bay next time. Imperial Palace also seems pretty sick as its apparently insanely soft, they have $100 bonus if your aces get cracked, and $50 bonus for kings getting cracked, as well as $2 per hour for just playing if you have a players card (which is apparently the best rate in vegas)

All in all I had a great time with friends and can't wait to go back. I'm definitely going to try to get out to Vegas again before this year is over.. hopefully within a few months.

Oh yea I forgot to make a shitty blog before I left but like a week ago I played a 5100ish hand session which EASILY breaks my record for longest session. I probably won't ever do that again either as I was just exhausted after, heh.
