Not been playing much poker lately. A few weeks ago I decided to cash out all my bankroll and take an extended break from Poker while I sort out my real life priorities. I am getting married on 7th April, and its hella lota work and it has taken my mind of Poker. Also working serious amount of hours with my real life job. I have been out on several tours lately and have hardly been at home, which meant no time for Poker. When I do get back from my honeymoon I am looking to get seriously stuck back into it. Just before I took a break I decided what area of Poker I wanted to really work on and master, as it seemed to suit me. However my summer this year looks fucked up for me though and Poker. Got 18 date tour with Status Quo, a 2 week tour with "the priests" and a few gigs with Snowpatrol mixed in there too, and thats just month of June... Gonna be busy :/
Anyway heading out for some food then coming back later to play the Sunday Million. I used some FPP to win $10, then I played a few Sngs and got some cash, then played a $36 6max sunday million sat and won that and I am now qualified for the big one. Good luck to everyone else
i'm actually excited for a poker tournament, which is weird. i grinded hard this week (by my standards, which includes a day in which i played a 3 hour session then quit and played monopoly with my friends, and taking the day after that off to hang out with my girlfriend and bartend). i had solid results with a bit of a downswing today, but i have $300 in bonuses from super sit-n-gos which is helpful. 40 and 18-man sit-n-gos are naturally very high variance, but my goal is to reach +$1500 from grinding this week in addition to any money i make in the million. it's worth mentioning that i was finally able to win a $55 super-sng which means i can stop ranting about that.
outside of poker, i've been watching lots of basketball, thanks in part to TNT and ESPN having thursday/friday double-headers. i've also been listening to the new caribou single "odessa" on repeat for most of the night. i've never been particularly blown away by caribou, but this song is really awesome. i've also been listening to wolf parade's first album a lot, as it's nostalgic and fun to grind to. my piece of shit car is leaking power steering fluid or something, so i've been stuck at my apt. for the most part, only making the occasional food/coffee run to my local sheetz. luckily, sheetz has a delicious canned caramel iced coffee that allows me to survive without driving to starbucks. it's almost sad how much of a starbucks fanboy i am, but it's mostly due to friends working there and making my drinks extra delicious and sometimes free.

This year alone, I've lost probably 34 buyins in nl25 after rapeing nl10 for 5bb/100 24 tabling. I move up to nl 25, 6-8 table, and get destroyed everytime. Either I'm doing something wrong or I hit a doomswitch everytime. I'd love to think it's the latter but it's probably not.
Hey guys. Decided to start a blog to hopefully inspire me to play more poker and take it to the next level.
Have been playing for a long time, but decided recently to finally take this game seriously. Am intending on putting in a decent amount of hours, and play very disciplined.
I will be playing mostly 6max, and some sit'n'go's when I need a break from the normal grind of ring tables. Don't expect to make much from the tourneys, but going to do them once in awhile just to vary things up a bit to avoid burn-out.
Bankroll is currently at ~850, so I will be playing nl25 until I feel comfortable for nl50.
I have HEM so will most likely be posting graphs pretty often. Afterall, the point of this blog is to have something that I can look back on and also use it to inspire me.
In other news, I really hope Canada wins their game tomorrow.. but I have my doubts. As much of a powerhouse as they *should* be, they haven't been playing anywhere near their potential, and I wouldn't be surprised if the US beat them. Although the betting sites have canada up by quite a bit, the way Canada has played so far is quite bad. They need to pick it up. Go Canada!

this month has been decent compared to the past 2 months. most of which is because i think i have a clearer set of goals and a healthier mindset, plus obv i have a coach now who plays one limit above what i play now and i used to play with him a lot so we kinda get along pretty well and we both understnd each too which is better.he doesnt mind me 24 tabling at all which is what i really value (lol), he says that as long as i devote x number of hours in a week strictly 4 to 6 tabling and get my thought process sharpened. and he kinda crushes 100nl so having a coach who actually wins and is "in the trenches" with me so to speak helps out alot and im really looking towards a long term coaching thing with the guy and i hope this really evolves to something better in terms of my long term winrate. i dont have stellar results this month but jeez i dont think ive won shit for the past 2 months or so, dicking with plo past couple months really destroyed my ptr and now i regret ever having played that stupid game haha. funny thing is after the first couple of coaching sessions i played the worse poker of my life lol.
took another short shot at 100nl yest and as expected i get sucked out on again after a couple hands and decided to develop confidence more at 50nl for now.

My goal is to do this for 30 days, can I resist multitabling?
I purged all hands on February 4th, and in 15 days after that I played whopping 8293 hands and collected huge 2532 VPPs this month (VPPs from first 4 days included)
Low tabling is fun, and its the only way where I can do my usual crazy stuff and get away with it.
I am also experimenting with nitty (13/12 or so) Image to be able to pull huge bluffs. Its so hard to pass on so many +ev spots when building it though
P.S. I thought for a year that I am 23, but, in fact I was 22 and will be 23 in a week. I have been telling everybody that I am 23 too lol.
P.P.S. If I manage this test of discipline I am moving to NL100. It wont be really a shot since that limit is easier than NL50 for me and I will very comfortably rolled (60BI+).
