A while ago me and a friend (the same friend i'm now teaching poker) went to a gathering of sorts at a cocktail bar.
Upon arriving his friends promptly stated that i looked like someone who played Wow (World of Warcraft for those who dont know).

yeah thats me, it was a photo of me after peroxiding my hair before dying it a colour ages ago and i was actaully like WHOA BLONDE ME!!

Anyway thought i'd post it up since i played this w/e and have now made the remaining 750 BR (i cashed out another 1.3 k or something to keep me going for a while in RL) that i had into 1300 over 2 or so days.
Thats pretty WOW for me! heh hopefully the WoW continues.

So yeah FKN BANKIN HOLLA and back at 50nl biatches.
3000 dollar bad beat is lessening in pain, although granted my friends will never let me forget it.

So I played a $10+2 yesterday with 1050 people in it. I never play MTT's but I decided to play the daily double (A). My goal was of course to get ITM, next goal was FT. Then I wanted a Top 5 place, I ended up in 3rd and recieving $880 or something. I got to bed like at 08:30 AM - I played the whole night. Today I'm just going to take it easy, I'll play a session in a while, but first I'm going to eat breakfest

Regarding the martinspoker league, we are still in first place. We beat De Knjiff and Thurtiz team last time

Lately alot of ppl have been asking me what has enabled me to move up so quickly recently. Ive been reluctant to share my secret for quite obvious reasons, but I have come to the conclution that I owe to much to this community to keep this secret to myself. I could say its because Ive been playing lots and lots of poker, constantly focused on improving and killing leaks, practicing good tilt control and table selection.

But that would all be a lie!

Truth is, my success hinges on one thing and one thing only.

The cute thing about these stats is that the 1knl hands are probibly the result of 10+ sessions. I just cant play epic sessions of 1knl. If I win 4+ buyins it feels like sooo much monies so I have to quit so I dont tilt, and the same thing happens if I loose 4+. Hopefully I will get used to the amounts in a not too distant future. Still very happy about the results though. I have basicly already reached my goal for march. I did set a pretty modest goal though, and I cheated and moved up to 1knl early.

----------Blackjack and Counting----------
It seems there is some interesting on Blackjack and card counting. I have to start that im no expert, but i studied the subject quite a lot in the past days so i can give info on how to start and so.

First thing to learn is not the counting, but basic strategy. It's how you play your hands. Any serious Blackjack player should know this cold before hitting the table.

This is how every hand should be played if playing the typical 6 deck Blackjack game. However, on a single or double deck game, the strategy changes. However, those are less popular(because they are actually much better for the players). One should learn it cold, and not deviate from it for no reason, as in the long run it will be better. However only using basic strategy will not get you winning in most cases, but it will simply make the odds more in your favor.

As for how card counting affects how you play, it depends largely on how you count the cards.Myself, i use a rather simple count system, thus not changing how i play basic strategy no matter what. Just stick to it until you learn more advanced counts(i will explain Counting in my next post.)

As for myself, i will be hitting the casino next wednesday, hopefully i will bring down the house again.

Well i just learned that half my stack was an unlocked bonus(im a n00b.) And i just dont see how i can unlock that bonus in time so... Even though i made some cash today, i just realised that my BR is not so high lol...

Good news everyone, after I crashed and burned 460$ at NL100 I kept my word and moved down to my beloved NL50. It was a pretty good day, if you let out that I lost alot on NL100.

As you can see I've been playing about 4,400 hands today. I'm very pleased with my winningrate but what makes me smile even more is that I finally increased my VPIP and my AF. Had a chat with IRC regular dronebabo and I reread some guy's article here on lp.net about preflop play. I'm really happy I loosened up.
Here's the graph, by the end it was really painful to play. Whenever I raised preflop I'd get at least 2 callers. Now you'd think they'll fold to contiunation bets but no, hell no they didn't so I decreased my cbetting for the last session.

All in all it was a good day, eventhough I lost almost 5 BI at NL100. I learned alot about my play and about not being too scared in big pots. And ofcourse about bankroll-management. I think I won't take a shot at NL100 again before I hit at least a 2,000$ bankroll high.

With that all is said so I'm going to chill infront of a Futurama episode.

Well, tis going okay, i havnt played much, only 7.5k hands.

Started off badly took some suckouts and beats then did really sick and won like 5 buyins, then went on a mass downswing where i didnt seem to do anything wrong. Started again today and i feel i played very well today. I made some sick folds, i folded a flopped flush at nl10 and the guy turned over a higher flopped flush, go me.

not having rakeback is costing me so much money. Anyways, I played a few small sessions today (2 hours) and went up +200. My BR is now 1800 and i'll be starting 50NL when I hit 2k. Also, i've been teaching an IRL friend how to play and i'll soon be teaching my father how to play (the next aba?). Cheers.

I realized it's not a good idea to set unreasonable goals because by not achieving them you are letting yourself down and 4k hands a day for 25 out of 30 days is an unreasonable thing to ask of myself. So I will try and do a weekly hand goal and build via small steps

This last week has been a okay, the clowns keep playing big pots w/ trash and the money keeps coming.

I also wanna give props to cardrunners.com for teaching people to repop preflop with garbage and 2-3 barrel bluff. The things they teach are very good but I think the majority of people watching it are really mis-interpreting what's really going on.

That's my last few hands - as you can see I have tightened up substaicially and vary between 20-25 vpip. I kind of miss playing very loose and aggresive but true TAG is very profitable against today's players which consist of wanna-be LAGS who are incapable of folding anything.

So that 100k hands goal will rest in peace (for the time being) and I will come up with something more achievable and build from there.

In this weekend we made with my friends a little LAN-home-party filled with playing Starcraft, Natural Selection and Counter Strike. It was pretty damn good fun there but there wasn't internet ( friend's grandparent house) so I couldn't play any Poker .
Today I get back home and played about 2 hours of NL50 and even with some errors (like calling pot bets with QK on Kxx board when my guts were telling me my oponnent has AK (which he had)) I've managed to get one and half bi up.

I've discovered major mistake in my NL50 game, I tend to bet too low because I'm kinda scared of that much money there and I'm still accustomed to NL25 range betting.
Second mistake is that I don't know how to play 2pairs properly. I tend to under-value them and I'm scared as shit of better 2 pair or set, which considered that with 1 pair I wont be scared is pretty ridiculous. But everyone good had to learn in past,....so I'm learning :D (or try to )

Good news everyone, I finished yesterday with a total BR of 1450$. Today I played NL50 and won the last buyin that I needed for my goal.

Magical 1500$, the bankroll where I decided to take a shot at NL100 swearing myself that I'd move down if I'd lose 5 buyins. So I moved up and played about 1,500 hands.

Well well, doesn't look too impressive. I thought it wasn't too much different from NL50, people played pretty much the same just the pots were higher.

I think it wasn't a bad shot, the first two buyins that I lost were huge suckouts.

First one was when villian thought his overcards and AK flushdraw is good enough to reraise me all-in. I called with my set of sevens and the river gave him his flush. Happens.
Second one was when I had overpair Queens and the guy called down his TPWK just to hit trips on the river.

Nonetheless I have to keep my word and move down, even if I don't feel like it, I just have to. This time I'm not sure if I'll take shots at 1,500$ again or if I'll wait until I have at least 20 buyins for NL100.

So yea, I finally ground up a bunch of little pennies to return to the hell-hole that is 50nl!!!

It took 15k hands at 25nl fr to go from $500 to $1000 and included in that 15k hand sample is a sick 10bi downswing LOL!

Amongst tonights 2.5k hands are KK vs AA ai pf and I lost, set-over set and I lost, and top set getting sucked out on by higher pp., AND some guy rivered trip 3s after calling ps bets with 35 vs my QQ XD. -4 bi right there! But even after all that bullshit, I prevailed over the 25nl donkeys and am now ready to piss away my roll at 50nl. Wish me luck when I begin my br suicide tommorow! For now I just need some sleep .
