I'm sooo over my downswing. April has been a disaster of a month, partly because of my own personal flaws in playing along with some piss poor luck. When I came back from Vegas I was down a total of $3600 since the 1st of April for playing NL200 & NL400. Total Yuck! But from the past week I learned a lot, especially from watching Daut play and talking to Myth about the Stars regulars at our level. So yesterday I was back to my old form, as I started the day down $500, but came firing back to being up $1100 by day's end (Sick $1600 upswing!). Plus I cashed in 3 tournaments out of 4! I've been inspired to play more tournaments, being as they are so freakin easy and the players in them are terrible, so hopefully after I learn how to work these things I can put up some good results. Still down on the month, but atleast it wont be for too much.

Didn't wnat to do it, at least till i go to 6-max, but i'm haveing some trouble to get there. The problem is that i don't have money to pay for it yet. The coach is like, half of my BR.
So yesterday in the afternoon I played a short session and dropped a buyin or so. Today I decided to get back to PartyPoker. I haven't been playing there for like two weeks and people there are getting crazy with the agression. 80% of the players are 3betting light constantly and 4betting light becomes more and more popular. I had a really hard time adapting to this game and played bad in a few important hands. I also had KK vs AA once for stacks and some regular beats. I should've finished playing earlier when I was stuck $200. I wasn't playing well and wasn't focused but decided to play 15 more minutes and dropped 2 more buyins. It shouldn't have happened.
I need to work on my discipline and control and ability to quit at the right time. From what people say such sessions like mine today are very standard (4buyin? wtf?!) but I think they're happening to me to often. Usually my winning session are like 1 or 2 buyins up, but when I'm losing it's usually big time (2 or more buyins). I need to work on the mental side of my game as session like the one I've just had really dissapoint me and hurt my confidence. But I realise that these is just the everyday thing in poker and I can't just whine cause "omg I lost 4 buyin". Obviously I'm not saying that I couldn't avoid today's loses as I most probably could. I just need to start handling these swings better cause they really hurt my confidence a lot, especially when they happen after a good session. Maybe I get too confident after winning a few buyins and I start playing differently? Dunno. I'll probably play again on Party in the evening but if the games will be so agro again, I'll probably think about moving somewhere else. Seriously, I've been playing on FTP for the last week and it was sooo much easier and way more steady. The variance on Party is much higher IMO and the games are tougher.
Ok enough of whining. Time to tighten up my ass, watch some vid on CR, browse some forums and get my monies back.
By the way - is there anyone here who's playing Party nl100 at the moment? Do you have the same feelings about the agression in these games?
Since very cruel bad sessions that I've suffered like 2-3 days ago when I've lost about 250, I've decided I could try to change my style. From now on, I think that I won't try to beat microlimits (up to NL100 i think)with ordinary 25/20 or something style but rather I think it's more +EV to play more tight agressive. Reason? Many many players there are willing to call you anytime, anywhere. It's normal that you and your raises are NOT respected at all.
I was trying to 4table with max focus on each and every player but now I understand, that at those limits, it's useless, so I will rather try 6 or 8 table with that 15/11 (I might loosen up a bit to like 18/15 but no more that that)stats.
I was at NL25 6max rather than NL50 fullring, where I've been playing before I've decided to move to 6max, because I stated that I wanted to learn 6max. But now I see that you can't really learn advance things at NL25, you can learn the essential things like basics of 3bets, importance of positions. But you can't really develop your game there to sky limits because the players aren't as players that you want to play in future.
lol. actually i'm a little tired of whining. i can even say that i'm playing my best poker ever. the coolers came just when i felt that i was plugging a lot of my leaks so that's mainly the reason why i got so affected by them, anyway the cooler rages i get is prolly one of those leaks i have to work on, well i am currently doing so.
Okay so i ll make a little update concerning recent happenings.
In my last blog entry i swore an oath dedicating my life to University, Sex and Poker.
So far i am not unhappy with how things developed.
Of course i failed the Anatomy test which was the main reason for my last blog entry.
Since then i attended every single course trying to give 100%
I was quite successful though i fell asleep from time to time
(My buddies were nice enough to punish me with sick penis paintings all over my face ^^)
But i iam sure i ve never taken University that serious before.
Besides that i am doing really good with girls lately.
I am totally over the story with my ex girlfriend and i date nice girls every weekend now
Id say i almost feel like a RL Baller and i enjoy it quite a lot
Poker has threatend me terribly though.
I am down - 40 $ at NL 10 FT the last 2000 hands ( 3 sesseions) and i got sucked out so often that i was thinking about not playing Poker for some time.
But i am still confident in my skills and i think its just matter of time till i have winning sessions again.
The frustrating thing is not the -40$ but the fact that i know i played well and had an edge ... but nevertheless lost money 3 sessions in a row.
I mean three "short"(700 hands)losing sessions in a row is probably nothing to really worry about.
A Positive thing is that i am quite happy with the rakback deal i have with LP and FT
I think in the long run rakeback will really pay off and no Party Poker Bonus is equally good to that.

Haven't played a ton, basically been breaking and goofing around. Played a Friday afternoon session that didn't go so well on FTP (played fine, ran crazy bad), made a little cash at UB, and got some of the loot back at FTP playing random STTs while watching the draft and such.
Down $50 total for the various adventures, so no big deal really there. I forgot that I actually enjoy STTs, heh.
I'm planning on playing a real session tomorrow to close out the week. I'm feeling okay with cashing a grand my first week, but I obviously want to start to ramp up a little bit as the weeks pass.

Midian told in comments to bet turn, but i think it is a good spot for the other player to slowplay a flush, PF raiser being agressive. But it can work as a semi-bluff, if the villian flush is not the nut flush. Tough spot, not really sure whats the best move here.
FrinkX doesn't seem to think that I have a roll or the ability to play 400nl, so I decided to clarify a few things.
The stats below are NOT all the hands I have played - that is just the past 1.5 months or so (obviously I don't have time to play a lot). I have played around 60k hands since I got PT about 6 months ago.
I did NOT win some MTT and decide to flush my roll at 400nl. I did indeed grind up from 10NL, and have experienced downswings, moved down in stakes, etc. (as mentioned in my first post).
And LOL - I said "SHIP" in that hand because I was happy with my read, not because it was some huge pot. geez...double LOL
You took offense when someone suggested that you like to berate people - but I have a hard time believing that your concern was genuine and in my best interests. If so, thanks.

So april has been pretty shitty, i started off with a -9 buy ins downswing on NL200, i just didn't feel like playing it anymore so i moved down to NL100, NL200 on PP just seems filled with regulars all day, or maybe i'm just picking the wrong tables at the wrong time, anyway i played NL100 most of the month, was up a lot until 2 weeks ago where i had this -15 buy ins downswing combined with another try at NL200.
Anyway i woke up this morning and i was like down 300$ for the whole month so far, tried NL200 again, lost, got mad and moved down, and i ran pretty hot on NL100, so i think i'm up for the month, i'm glad ~_~ Hope May will be better.
WHat up boys and girls. Time to write some shit down since I aint been keeping my life updated with all the shit thats been going on.
As many of you know I moved to Florida about a month ago almost and It's totally different than Puerto Rico. The atmosphere is really nice and friendly, and people seem pretty open which is cool. Its really a big adjustment for me with the overall vibe of the states and also i gotta speak english instead of my normal Spanglish .
Unfortunately I decided to leave my old car in Puerto Rico when i moved because the cost of shipping it down is almost half the cost of the car itself. I of course removed my big woofers and amp's and brought those with me . So the big issue lately for me has been playing enough and saving money for a new car. Which at first I wanted a Toyota Celica, but i was talked into getting a BMW by my buddy chris (milkman) and he helped me out with that so im grateful. I actually went yesterday to drop a 1 grand down payment for the guy to hold the car for me, and then I'm going back next week to pay the rest of it off in cash, since I did not want to finance a car and be paying monthly payments over the course of a few years depending on what car i got, with a huge intrest rate (not to mention if you finance a car, your pretty much obligated to get full coverage on it, so that is like twice the rate on insurance payments).
As for poker. I have played probably around 60k hands (i have two computers so its hard for me to look at all my PT stats together) and have ran at about 3bb/100 which is pretty damn solid considering i had a downswing where i dropped 2 grand in 2 days. On this comp my PT says i made around 4.4k and on other comp i've probably made another 1k. So I'm pleased with that result for this month . (not including the bonus im clearing)
But the best part ofcourse is that I am getting lessons from the one and only D_ZOO!:D he has helped me actually raise my stats to about 17/12/2.2(FULLRING) and my winrate (over a very small sample) has been pretty fuckin sexy. I hope to get more lessons in the future and get more adapted to playing this looser style. I also want to thank TalentedTom because he has also given me some food for thought and hooked me up with the D_Zizzle
As for the future. Well now that I have my sexy car to complement my baller status, and a solid bankroll for grinding and living off. I am probably going to try to make the leap to 400NL as soon as money permits as long as my winrate holds solid. I will have to make withdrawls monthly obviously, for my expenses which is no problem and also to pay for my trips this summer. I'm planning on going to new york with my cousin to chill for a week or something, then flying with him to Puerto Rico and live with him and my other cousin for 3 weeks or so (We were raised together and are brothers). THEN! they are coming to florida with me to stay for a few weeks before i fly off to vegas with the LP crew for the main event of the WSOP!
I'm going to be staying in rainkhan in his suite with milkman/rush/few others, and we are going to of course party and just have an INSANE time! I mean... just try to not be jealous of me -_-; can't can you mWHAHA? I only wish everyone from LP could come with us, but it's definitely gonna be a sick time and we're gonna have a Real World type thing going on! LOL SO SICK FUN, can't wait!
Umm some other things that I should mention is, Me rainkhan milkman and Sixpepers spent about 10 hours (ATLEAST!) beating the SPECIAL FORCES: Hell TWEAKED UMS on Broodwar and i'd like to celebrate the fact that we finnally beat it two nights ago which in itself was a trippy time. It consisted of Lots of yelling, cursing each other out and a general fun time we shared beating this shit. Just to give you a hint of the work we put into this game, i had to get up early next day to go car shopping, Sixpepers had a party goin on at his place and he was drunk as shit, milkman is another drunktard, and rainkhan had set that time to go to the gym. But we all unanimously put everything aside and said FUCK IT WE GOTTA FUCK SOME NIGGA'S UP!.
So anyway I'll finish up by saying, shoutout to all my friends in PR that read this, also my niggas from vent: Alex, clay, Chris, Khan, Derrek, cosmo and all you nigga's i'm forgetting! As chris would say.... "LP NIGGA! LP!"
Down 4 buyins over about 1k hands... I've never run into so many coolers and bad beats before. This is the first time I've actually suffered this much loss in a session, as I usually quit out of frustration after dropping a buyin.
That said, to make money at poker I have to play through losing money while still playing well. I'm so fucking proud of myself for doing that this time, despite the fact that I kept losing money: I didn't stop playing well and I pushed through it, which I have never been able to do before.

Boy was that a freakin blast. So basically Vegas is just so awesome and I can't wait to get back there for the summer (or even sooner). Here are some of the most memorable times of the trip:
- Nazgul at the Spearmint Rhino, after I got hustled in the backroom by a talking stripper, I come back and get talking to Nazgul, teddy wong, and bet2win about random shit. Then Nazgul asks: So which girl is Lyric's girlfriend? And so I was like Mango. Then he asks what about the other girl? So I was like... uh that's like Mango's girlfriend. So Nazgul was like... uuh wait, so doesn't Mango go out with Lyric? I'm like yes. Then he's like, but that other girl is with both of them? I'm like yes. He asks if they are Mormon, I say no. He asks if this is normal in America, I'm like not really Lyric just runs really good at life. He's still confused lol~
- Each Day, I pretty much slept til 2:00pm. Daut, on the other hand, woke up around 11:00am to play the noon tournaments at Ceasars. I found it entertaining when he was going busto before I woke up. LOL... ok I know that's not that funny.
- On Thursday I played $2-5NL at the Bellagio w/ Lyric til like 4:00am in the morning. Then his $25-$50 seat opened up so I decided to just go to sleep. I wake up at 3:30pm in the afternoon to my cell phone ringing. It was Mango. "Hey Jonny, are you with Lyric or is he still playing poker?" Uhhh... he was still playing poker.
- So after I got hustled at the Spearmint Rhino, we went to Treasures the last night (which is such an underrated joint, I was really diggin it). So this stripper chick comes over and she was mos definitly a talker. Mango read through this bitch's game and totally saved my ass from another re-hustle. The girl had some bangin ass body, but apparently I was too drunk to notice that she was ugly in the face. Oops.
- Daut's hot mom friend who we spotted playing $5-10 at the Bellagio was totally cool. She was telling us of this hand she played where she got in like 20bb's preflop w/ KK and some guy happened to get it in with her w/ 86s and flopped a straight or something and she was asking if it was bad. No, it was totally standard. But some donk was being totally result oriented and trying to tell her to play the hand differently. Tard, you're making the poor lady dumber. Oh, and Daut's hot mom friend found out about Daut's other ID: BigBalls! LMAO, I'm sure she's curious as to how he got that name!
- Pretty much every trip we go on, we see Ann, the live poker pro from the east coast. I dont believe she is from the east coast, caz she is litterally always in Vegas. I dont know her last name, or any other nick name, and the name 'Ann' seems too short to use so I've pretty much dubbed her 'Poker Pro Ann'. Poker Pro Ann plays 50 hour poker session regularly. What RaSZi?
