I've cashed out almost all my BR (about $800) and am heading to rednines. My aggressive style generates ridiculous amounts of rake and it annoys me that stars takes about 60% of my profits. Add a 100% bonus on up to $500 and hearsay that 10nl on rednines is as easy as on pokerstars and I'm there.
I left $50 on stars to keep me amused until the cashout goes through and I doubled that last night so life is looking good. Although Christmas is getting expensive so I'm seeing less of my winnings than I'd like.

Been playing mostly SNGs lately. Hit a cold streak of 7 straight out of money. So I decided to try something that I haven't done in a long time.

Results were good. Pounced on random fish and made ~$700 on this day over 2k hands or so.

Let's face it -- it doesn't matter what game I play -- SNG, MTT, full ring or 6max. The key to winning -- opponent selection. Which I practised successfully on this day.

Narious just staked me to play NL25, so I'll be able to at least unlock my Christmas Bonus @_@.

I also want to offer lessons, particularly in heads up. I am a solid winner at the NL2 and NL4 HU games over a large sample size (will put up graphs later). I will be doing this at $40/hour, which I think is Floofy cheap. I do need to rebuild and I haven't taught many LPers.

I haven't really gotten much better, just hit a stretch of running better than I ever will for the rest of my life. Don't think I have had KK vs AA once for full stacks in like 50k hands, for real I run like god.

So after last night when I was convinced I play like shit (probably could improve a lot of this), I managed to have a very very sick run today. Today was the last 1.4k hands of the graph below, which is all of december at 100nl so far.

As you can see I ran better than I can ever remember. Don't think I've ever had +9bi in 1.4k hands.

I came down with a nasty cold yesterday but grinding/BWing as usual =D. I only played about 1k hands today and got up 5 BIs and the $20 release is coming shortly.

Retarded, yes. Good explanation, no, not really.

I just wanted to unlock my Christmas FTP bonus, so I had to play, had to just get 200 points. Loaded up FTP, started playing NL200 6max, easy way to get points and safe, with 8.9k. I usually enjoy playing shortstacks HU at nl400 and nl600 as my main 'game', but I just wanted fast points, and lower variance - right?

Things were pretty calm, up 1 buyin, down 1 buyin, then I played poorly in a pot and lost 2 buyins - easy cure, just play some HU, right?! I didn't practice table selection, started playing some fullstacks at nl6, a couple coolers later, I'm down 3.5k and I'm furious.

I'm so miserable that at that point I just think, robusto or busto, and yeah. Some dude in NL5k swept away the rest. Of course, I regret it, obviously great timing with Christmas, etc, but this lesson should stay. I really don't find myself enjoying poker though, I had to push myself to play, just for this stupid bonus. Just bad mental state recently with school, girls, etc - not really fit to play poker.

Now I'm probably going to deposit some money and grind the lowlimits, but it'll take sooo long and a lot of time, T___T. Ugh.

On an upside, I'm holding a party in my room tonight. Guess I'll have to cut back a little on my estimated expenses...

Been losing a ton to flips to short/semishortstacks , im running fairly "abnormally" lately. favorites usually get sucked out on. i think i also have been playing pps with unraised pots more often than usual. aa kk doesnt seem to get the job done also. i can safely say that ive been playing relatively tight, but some spots way too predictable and weak. didnt lose any this week but variance just sucks ass. my winrate has been horrible the past 20k hands. i just hope everything runs by the "percentages" next time and for sure I can run a solid 20 to 30 buyin week like the usual at 25nl coz it's just way too ez. doesnt have to be pure luck at all, just avoid being unlucky and shit.

just bought the 50usd bonus now, hope this helps for the bad day.
just 3kfpp to go before platinum then i move to 50nl asap. yay!

so now i kept playing and suffered the most ridiculous beat. i'm on a rednines turbo table, which is already impossible to multi table. aks preflop, someone raises to like 7 BBs UTG, and i want to reraise but tables keep popping on top of it, and before i am forced to fold i can only minraise... flop comes a j q, i bet, he pushes, i call, he rivers a K for a straight with T9.

i really wanna give up now, but i still have about $75 left. i'm super unmotivated to play now but we will see how this goes

Hey LP Lovers --

Just wanted to welcome everyone back to the NBB blog house. It has been quite a while since I've blogged but Fall semester has finally ended at school. I have been really busy putting together papers, studying for finals, and hoping to pass school in general. I have no updated in a while so I will give updates to all aspects of my life.

So....3 weeks back my boy nutshot and I did a degen move and went to Atlantic City on Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving for anyone that is oblivious to life). Me, being a broke NIT was staked by nutshot since he is a great guy and we headed to the Borgata to ball out. We ate at the Borgata cafeteria there which had great pizza, burgers, philly cheese steaks, and it was only an escalator away from the poker room. We did not book a room and did the degen move and slept in my car which was freshly furnished with a pillow and blanket which I had put in the car. My car (Acura TSX) isn't all bad since it has Seat warmers and we slept comfortably for the 2 hours that we slept. So we played 1/2 when we got there and I just nitted and was up about $800 or so by that time and we both did the 11 am $340 mtt. Nutshot had the early departure (sorry bud) but I battled hard and cashed. Got 13th I believe for a payout of about $940 which sucked since I lost in miserable fashion.

Environment prior to me losing: I'm stacking about 146K in chips, 4k/8k blinds, nutshot is playing a $215 sng and watching me from afar. I had made a play the hand before and folded which was w/e. Next hand I get AA UTG (GREAT TIMING) and everyone gets their cards and stares at me to get a "read"....yeah OK. I make the sickest move and look at my cards, almost muck my cards but take them back and say "Make it 20K" this bitch girl looks at me and thinks and goes....I'm ALL-IN....140K stack. I'm thinking...$$$$$$$$$$$$...SB thinks for a little bit and folds as well as the BB. I Phil Hellmuth call her as fast as I can and she goes...."you got it huh?" OBVIOUSLY. I slam the Aces down and she shows 77. Flop......Door card 7....x x ..x x....game over and misery. After she beat me she said...."you made a really great play, I thought you were making a move cause you looked like you were gonna fold." Great to know........oh well. I ended up + Money for our trip and nutshot and I split profits which was great. All in all, I had a great time and got to see nutshot play Montell Williams in a 500 sng . They did the degen move and 4 players in the sng put $100 each on a last man standing bet. Nutshot got the boot when his 55 lost to A5 which was annoying.

The weeks after AC I have been playing hardcore on PS despite major finals and what not. I have finally battled all the endeavors and gotten myself in a positive direction. I didn't want to blog up until I knew I was getting my life in order. I have since paid back a loan I had owed to PU (who I owe my life too in many ways for all the fuck ups I've made). I am comfortably playing 1/2 6-max, full ring, and PLO. I have gotten a feel for the 3 games and feel I am improving day by day with many of he regulars, especially with the coaching and advice of PU. Nutshot has also been helpful as usual in my MTT endeavors as I have battling for a big MTT win.

If anyone has any good articles on PLO strategies that would be greatly appreciated. I have learned the game pretty well but am always looking to improve my skills on a daily basis. I always feel that my game has room for improvement.

Otherwise, expect session screenshots and blog posts in the upcoming days as I leave for the Phillippines on December 24th. I will be gone for 3 weeks to meet up with family and getting shitfaced with cousins. It should be a great trip and a way for me to relax from poker for a little while. I expect to come back in full LP gear and make you all proud.
