Tough Sunday by RaiNKhAN, February 25

Didn't cash in any of the tournaments I played today, as well as yesterday. I think a big part
of the reason I haven't shown much success online since the WSOP is two things: a.) i'm not putting
in enough volume into high-edge tournaments loaded with fish, and b.) i'm putting in too high
of a % of the volume that I put into poker by playing tougher fields with low edge like the
100+rebuys on pokerstars.

It's my belief that even if you get deep in the 100+rebuys whether it is on the weekend(easier
because it gets larger fields---> therefore higher % of drawing an easy table and more fish)
or not you will end up having a tough time exploiting players in the ways that is neccessary in
order to chip up properly to give yourself the best shot at winning. You need to enter fields
that will give you almost hardly any resistence in order to profit well. Profitting well helps
build your confidence and eventually helps make you a sicko. Now, i'm not advocating to just
stomp on fish all day, plenty of nice tournaments online have good amounts of tournament regulars
and hyper aggressive players to make sure you don't slack off and keep on your toes at all times.

I'm going to start cutting out certain tournaments from my schedule for my own good, and the
100+rebuys is the new candidate. As competitive as I may be, I think with my age and experience
on the live circuit throughout the past 6 months that somethings in life are better off left alone.

Worst run ever! by Pillars, February 24

I know there are mixed opinions about the usefulness / veracity of PokerEV graphs, but the 'all-in' graph seems relatively reliable as it's doing pretty simple calculations.

Here's my month so far, first in 'all-in luck' then in 'showdown winnings'

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d79/Pillarzz/PokerEV_2.jpg

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d79/Pillarzz/PokerEV_1.jpg

I've played about 30k hands of 3/6 6-max, 10k hands of 2/4 6-max, and 10k hands of 1/2 and 2/4 HU combined.

Based on that, let's call $500 the average buy-in for the stakes I've been playing this month.

I'm down $11,000 in all-in equity, which equates to running 22 buy-ins below expectation in all-in pots.

I'm down $16,000 in 'Sklanksky bucks', which equates to running 32 buy-ins below expectation overall.

This is over 50,000 hands.

So tonight by Oddeye, February 24

Yesterday I ended -8.5k was at 59.5k actually and today I played quite a lot, didn't get too lucky nor bad lucky, got a couple beat probably got lucky a couple of time too. I made it to 57.5k so I made 6.5k today, hopefully I'll just make the rest tomorrow or any day soon. I'm still waiting for my rakeback from January (fuck you UB) and it's like 2.25k and I have 1.5k this month. Looks better now I'm going to stop just there I played enough... waiting until tomorrow night.

Steadyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy by GameOverNoob, February 24

I've moved from playing 4 tables to 6 on my laptop since im still waiting for my basement office to be finished.

nothing to say, making 1-2buyins/session... no real amount of variance... the games are just too easy.

I'm playing a LAG style, using ranges and im usuallly pretty accurate.

... i estimate anohter 3-6 weeks of this until i move to NL50

i might even go longer, but i don't expect much of difference in skill level.

Bad flipament experience. by nullmind, February 24

I've been running really bad in cash games(thus the no update T_T) but I was really lucky enough to go ITM 2 of 2 times I've played the LP.net Flipament. But today, I had a real bad experience. First opponent 'TheBeachGirl' she folds??? I thought she made a mistake and shoved again and she folds.. So I later find out she was banned from lp.net and shes done this before. I tried to play it out but everyone wanted me to keep shoving so I just did and got lucky and won. Next round, I won. Third round, I get folded again.. It's annoying getting folded on a flipament but still I got lucky and won next round. I wish LP can implement something like only logged on people can view the password or something so that shit doesn't happen again. Then again, I shouldn't be complaining. I made $11.50 profit after the flipament and the tourney entrance fees. Hopefully I can get lucky inn the cash games and post about them too.

today by whamm!, February 24

won like 1.5 bi on my first session. playing like 2 other sessions today. got set over setted and cracked my aces and was down like 2bi early on, seems like this keeps happening to me lately, like i lose at the first 200 hands or so, so it really keeps me from playing really solid and just wana win back what ive lost and lose motivation to win more, like with my 3.5 to 5bi sessions before. no complaints though, ive got to stick to my sked this month and reach 10k before month ends, i think i can shoot for at least 10500 to 11k this month. wish me luck peace.

some pics by PplusAD, February 24

played a session 2 tabling for 40 minutes and was - 14 €

then i had lunch
made a picture with my mobile phone

http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/9664/mittagessenxn5.jpg

returned to session and did pretty good.
+ 42 € overall results after 500 hands or so.

then i hit a small bad run again...
Lost AA vs flopped Set twice in 10 minutes.
Lost flopped set vs OESD that hit on river when i overbet pot on turn >_<
and lost Top pair vs Flushdraw also when i slighty overbet pot on turn again >_<

people just call and hit on river ...

besides my draws never hit and i managed to go from + 42€ to
- 9 euros in just 15 minutes >-<

i took a break of 20 minutes than restarte the session.
managed to end + 39,62 euros overall ( 58,70 $)

http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/5239/24februarij8.jpg ( stupid PT shows in $ but its €)

1,3 K hands doesnt look much ... but its ~ 4 hours when u 2-3 table most of the time.

besides that i took a picture of my setup ( pretty poor setup compared to the ballers but i like it.)

Fun Session and Ramblings by DustySwedeDude, February 24

So today I had one of those really fun session when you just can't win. Probably the biggest loser this month but I actually played pretty well so I'm happy about that at least. Earlier this month I tilted a bit and that sucks. I'm actually down a couple of BI's for the month but I'll get a pretty huge rakeback so I'll probably end up slightly in the green. I'm ok with that since I've had two losing months in a row and it'd be nice to break the trend. Overall I feel like I've been playing semi-bad for a while but during the last few days I've played pretty good which is nice. I think mars might be a pretty nice month.

I've also played 53k hands since I decided to play 100k hands of 1/2€ 6-max before I'm allowed to play any higher to get my discipline up. I started in late january. I've only won a few bi but I've gotten 3.6k € out of it from rakeback so I guess it's ok. When I've done with this I'll reevaluate but the most likely thing is that I'll play another 100k hands and hope that I'll be rolled, ready and with a decent self esteem to play higher during the summer. I actually think that a 100bi BR-rule might be something for me, lol. I might go for like 65 or so instead, but it's pretty damn clear that I shouldn't play with like 30bi with my swings.

I'm also really enjoying school right now which is huge for me and I feel that I grow as a human right now so I'm pretty happy about that. If I can shape up my poker game, eat a bit more healthy and get some success in the stock market it'd be great.

16 hrs of Sleep by JohnnyBologna, February 24

Im so pissed off at these stupid computers right now. Just woke up from a 16 hour slumber and wrote a blog entry to hit backspace for it get deleted wtf. and someone tell my why i cant use apostrophe without it going to quick find on bottom left plz. GRR. and why cant i use the arrow keys either wtf man. /end pet peeve rant about the site

OK. Lets rehash.

So the previous two days before I had been awake > 30 hours already. It would have been only about 24 hrs If i hadnt played about 8 hours of poker at the end. I was 1 tabling while watching a card runners video and what not to lose about 2 buy ins. Seeing how egotistical I am I said to myself, "self, F this, I am going to show these noobs whats it like when I play serious." So I fire up 12 tables and open my HUD getting myself really comoftable in my chair. About 1 or 2 hours later I am down about 5k now lolz. So okay ill seriously play serious now. I turn off my HUD cuz that laggy crap on FTP pisses me off while 12 tabling and start my 8 hr grind. In the end I get to roller coster my way to being down only 2k and crashing becuz I was too tired and didnt want to play anymore. If I had not been up for about 30 hrs i would have definitely played until i was even or at least longer.

So anyways I went to sleep in the evening and now its almost noon and I feel like crap even though after making up for my 16 hrs of missed sleep. I think Its because I dont exercise enough and have only eaten a grilled cheese sandwich some candy and cereal since friday. Sometimes I worry that I might suddenly croak over in front of my computer like that one bad ass korean who stayed awake 2 full days playing non stop SC.

Anyways its time to go get something healthy to eat becuz Im starvin marvin. Stay tuned becuz later on I will be posting some sick serious beats that own all the other bad beats posted here before that i encountered playing yesterday.
