Just broke 1,3K profits for July today

feels good.
I dont play much due to university but i crush the games i play

it started off incredible bad ...
I may have run like God the last days ... but till hand 500 .. i just couldnt win a single hand ...
my WOn at SD was ~ 30% and no matter how much i was favourite when money went in i always got outdrawn or completelly sucked out ^^

I feel that this was my first real Test at NL100 during my 3rd attempt to become a reg ...
the sessions before i just run so good that there wasnt much of a challenge ^^
I mean u dont need much skill when u just win every hand

This time it feels more like i really earned the money and deserve the 112$ total profit from the session ... ( 86$ + 16$rb+ 10$bonus)


Also i decided to take university a bit more relaxed ...
I am totally at the optimum time shedule so far .. and it would just mean lots of hard work and dedication to keep it that way ...
Well the main reason for going through your tests and courses as fast as possible is to get a job faster and make money faster ..

U know what the average income of a graduated sports scientist is , after he finished university with good grades ?
Yes its 18-24euros/h net ... -> 37$/h net income ...

thats worse than an average 4BB/100 winrate on NL100 ...
so i really see no reason to stress my self out for finishing university as fast as possible ...
I try to get good results and take as much time as i need ...
cause money doesnt matter so much anymore

managed to get past day 1 with an OK stack. ended the day just short of 30k. blinds 300/600/?. I forget what the ante is but I think it's 50. So right around 50 big blinds. I'm feeling pretty good about my play and I think I only made one real mistake throughout the entire day which I'm very happy about as 1) It's the first time I've ever played for 13 hours straight, 2) It's been awhile since I played live.

Wasn't too many notable flops. The big issue was that nobody on the table busted. My table actually seemed REALLY tough. Not that everyone was a crazy aggro sicko or anything, but that my table was all relatively tight, and donkish in the ways that keep someone in a tournament for a long time (if that makes sense). I managed to get a sicko looking image running really hot preflop and taking down a lot of pots with a reraise before the flop. I hadn't really spoken much so at this point the table started cracking jokes that I "must be Scandinavian"

Kind of sucked for my image. I had an average stack when a ~10k super aggro semi shorty called my SB raise (he was in the BB) while I held KJo. I checked a KT4 flop hoping to get in a check raise, but he checked back. The turn was a J and I checked again. He overbet shoved all in, and I called fairly quickly to be shown Q6 suited. He binked a 9 and I was set down to 13k or so.

I stole blinds up to about 17k or so, and eventually got in a button/blind war with a solid aggressive player who I assume is a tournament pro (and I wouldn't be surprised if he was a name one, pocketfives goons kept snapping photos of him all day). My AK spades to his QQ. Board came 9-5-5-9 but I binked the A on the river to bust him out and double up. Traded blinds around and the day ended with me at just under 30k.

I think I played really well considering the skill level of the table. People were stealing and restealing constantly. It was honestly a lot tougher than a standard online tournament, IMO.

Anyways, I'm getting some rest and just trying to focus on playing my best going into Day 2.

Over the three weeks I've been at NL25, I've noticed that the weekends seem really swingy. They're not humongous swings, they're just swings of one or two buyins up and down every half hour or so so that by Monday, I'm back almost exactly where I was on Friday. It's irritating because weekends are supposed to be God's gift to poker players. It's probably the way I'm playing.

Earlier I lost 4 buy ins in a couple of minutes, back to back suckouts. I don't have a stoploss though, because I think losing four buy ins at 25NL really shouldn't be a big deal. If I were to quit everytime I tilted I wouldn't be playing very much, so I just forced myself to untilt and play through the pain. Made 2 of those buy ins back in the next half hour in time to catch the last bits of the 2x FPP/VPP promotion.

I amuse myself by trying to rate my weekends on my swing scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being Asian breasts (not swingy), 4 being Tarzan (moderately swingy), 7 being Count Basie's Big Band (very swingy) and 10 being Christmas at the Texas Temple (yeehaw).

No friends, no sleep, no sun, no life... that's what the pokerstars 2xvpp week did to me.

Played a total of 31,230hands in NL50,NL100 and NL200 FR. Made 17,728VPPs and lost $557. Sessions were a joke. I also wanna say hi to the AKvsQQ, QQvsKK and KKvsAA in the last 100hands for the $550 lost... fuck off, seriously just look at the end of the graph... disgusting...

I've been ill with fever and embarrassingly diarrhea from the 30th till the 5th, but luckily I was a little better today, and was able to play the ME on day 1d.

Anyways, after packing my antibiotix, tissue box, cough syrup and some cough drops I set off to the RIO, as I was waiting for the PS shuttle bus, a bold dude named Chris? called out for me and told me he'd give me a ride in his limo there. SHipp run good. Turns out he is the owner of the PR company for PS and we talked about LP resident bulldozer RainKhan.

Fast forward until the tournement starts. I was sat at table 44 in the small room (Bas???) and my table is comprised of the following players.

1. Hero
2. Middle aged white dude who plays decent tag
3. Dan shaq (apparently some pro, but he played realllllly shit and bad and awful)
4. Mysterious Young PS Balla
5. Old fart #1
6. Young dude #1
7. Old fart #2
8. Old fart #3
9. Young dude #2

anyways third hand of the table Seat 2 is the BT and limps, (Dan)SB bumps it up to 4.5bb Young baller from sweden calls. flop comes K89 rainbow, Dan bets pot young balla calls, turn 9 Dan pots balla calls, river blank Dan bets 2/3 and young balla raises and leaves behind 1kish dan puts rest in and flips over KK young dude shows 88 and picks up bag and leaves... so sick for young balla~


anyways i chip up to 26k by the end of the first limit of 50/100


Believe it or not I didnt once goto showdown until fast forwarrrrdd the third limit 150/300. I raise A9 on CO, BT calls, BB calls. Flop comes 779 rainbow BB donks out 2/3 pot, I call and BT mucks, turn comes 7 he donks 2/3 pot again, I call and river comes a blank 3 and he says "would u believe i have a 7 in my hand" before checking. At this point I knew he had like 66/88/9X, So i fired about 1/3 pot value bet and he called with 49s. ewww


Anyways, I get badbeated alot, fast forward...... I have a 8k stack left at 150/300 25antes, oldfart#3 raises 1100 MP I tank a lil and shove AKo, everyone quickly folds to him and he asks how much more, tanks for 20-30seconds and calls with AA, sigh.

Flop came K high but turn and river didnt help and I was sent packing. GG WSOP for me.

Got raped all last week at 200NL...was spewing to start but have slowly learned to adjust to a new set of players. Had my best day everrrrrr today...went like 1-7 in donkaments only cashing the 2nd chance but whateverrrrr. Ship ship.

Also...fuck live poker...that shit is rigged. nutshot runs like God even at fucking roulette...$200 -> $2500 in like 15 minutes OK?

Hey guys,

Played quite a few tournaments today. I played the Sunday Million for the first time, played a lot of $12 turbos, and the 20 GTD at 7, as well as the $3R. I do fairly well in the $12 180-man turbos, since it's so easy to get down to like 25 players (FT is usually after 1:30). I FT'ed two of them, though I busted 8th and 6th after getting coolered a bit. I also gave up on the 3R before the rebuy period, as I really just wasn't hitting. The 10+1 went alright, and I got down to 1.6k players, but at that point I was way too tired from playing so much today.

I'm going to go to bed after I watch some CR videos, of which I will attempt to give a summary tomorrow.

Today I'm a SAD Dusty. Sad Dusty only appears when Dusty fails to do something he feel he should be able to do. Serious cases of Sad Dusty has been known to be caused by driver's license tests, whiskey dick and big downswings. Todays case is only slight since I'm still up more then my parents makes in a month so far in july, and mostly appeared because I'm a big EMOfag when it comes to losing days. Sorry to dissapoint all of you who put fayth (and money) in me, but I failed. Busted after about 12 hours at the very end of Day 1. Was getting pretty coolered, I was dealt sick amounts of premium starting hands only to almost always find out, that someone was dealt an even better hand - like QQ vs KK 2 times, AK vs KK 2 times (sucking out once), TT vs KK (possibly foldable but its tough with 18 bb stack) and few others.

But at least I had a good time playing at my table, good table talk and stuff. Was not an easy table though, with John Juanda, 6 young internet players and 2 semiyoung guys who played tight and although they werent esp. tough to play against, they definately wasnt free chips or anything...

I am pretty dissapointed atm.

Got some big bills coming up for new school year(first/last rent, security desposit, books, etc) and this, combined with a pretty bad downswing across 50/100nl(~$1000), made me cash out all the way down to $1,000. Kind of a 50nl do-or-die type thing. I will not play 100nl until at least 1500 where i will have a 1 buyin stoploss and wont play it full time until 1800.


Also, I threw in some applications for part time work around town. I have fuck all to do all day anyway other than work out, play poker, and get drunk so that'll help. I dont have any graphs or anything because for some reason my postgres is all fucked up but whatever.

Im still fairly happy with my play, and it is not often that I get my money in behind, just unlucky as fuck i guess recently and needed the money anyway.
