at the cow palace outside of san francisco. Grimiest rave i have ever been to easily with condensation rain falling from the ceiling and saw at least five people OD. Too packed to move they probably should have sold less tickets but still pretty sick.

Boyz noize set was beast. Benassi disappointing. Armin van Buren was good to see live (not going home might have been the best beat all night).

Hadn't heard of infected mushroom before but they were a live band that did psytrance beats from Israel. Only saw their first song before leaving but they were pretty sick.

Got the blunts and molly in safe and didn't get wrapped so it was a good night but its 2 days later and im still feelin a bit sad from Mdma

think they actually do this?

Hello Cameron,

Thank you for your email.

As I am sure you know, any player has the ability to open a tournament lobby
and see who won the event (as well as who else played). A number of third
party sites gather this information from the PokerStars game software lobby
using automated programs, and compile the data into a database that players
can access.

PokerStars has been listening to recent player feedback regarding these
sites. We want to limit the amount of information that third party results
websites can publish because of our strong commitment to upholding the
integrity of our games. We oppose websites publishing player profitability
data by default for two key reasons:

Firstly, many of our players simply do not want their ROI information to be
publicly available. They have a right to privacy of this information.

Secondly, it gives an unfair advantage to those players who are able to
obtain ROI data about players who have not consented for their information
to be shown.

We have been working with various sites that currently display player
profitability data and the vast majority of those sites have agreed to
modify the default settings for the display of player data. Sites who are
working with us have agreed that profitability data will only be available
on players who have themselves specifically opted in, thus giving their
consent for their profitability data to be displayed on that service. The
default setting will be that tournament cashes only will be displayed.

The sites who intend to comply with our data policy also agree to allow
players to opt out totally from their service, so that zero information will
be displayed about them.

Among the sites that have agreed to comply and that will remain permitted
are officialpokerrankings.com, cardplayer.com and thepokerdb.com. Note that
these sites might not necessarily be able to show all the information they
currently display, once opt-in is fully functional.

Those sites that refuse to remove player profitability and ROI data by
default will be prohibited for use in conjunction with the PokerStars
Client. PokerStars will enforce such prohibitions by changing the PokerStars
software such that the prohibited sites will not be able to extract the data
from the PokerStars client without either the permission of PokerStars, or
the players concerned.

We believe that this policy will deliver on our commitment to listening to
players who have overwhelmingly asked us to prevent sites from publishing
their private information, while not being heavy handed against the many
players who are not aware of the rules against them, or who are concerned
about their browsing privacy.

As always, we welcome feedback on this policy, so please email us anytime at
support@pokerstars.com. We will work hard to deliver the best possible poker
games, with the highest standards of integrity now and into the future.

If there is anything else we may assist you with, please do not hesitate to
contact us again.

Kind regards,

Susan W

Wanted to and did make 20 buyins at 5nl 10nl and 25nl (make sure im not terrible) and looks like now i have enough might not even have to grind 50 if i start out decent at 100.

crashed my car 45 mins ago
  traxamillion, May 28 2009

So i'm driving home and traffic hits and moron 1 cuts me off so i have to move right while moron 2 doesn't yield to me while merging. I am going to hit 1 of the 2 take my pick but I don't really want to do that and couldn't afford insurance payments this month so i speed off and right to clear the dude merging but my back tires slip and hit the dirt and then I roll 5 times and into a ditch off the side of the freeway totaling the 2002 explorer i just bought like 2 months ago.

GG months of grinding 50nl on cake.

But at least i was wearing my seatbelt so instead of being dead im relatively unhurt and i didn't hit anyone else.

lame but ima try to be positive

biology help
  traxamillion, May 18 2009

has to do with original concessions skew model and Hamilton's rule.

S - pG < r[(1-p)G-L] ---- model

P = [s-r(G-L)]/[G(1-r)] ------ staying incentive

L = Lone dominant productivity
G = Group Productivity
p = Subordinate Share
S = Lone subordinate productivity

The Problem

#1 (I have solved this)

The concessions model of reproductive skew assumes that a dominant female will yield a minimum share (p) of group offspring (G) so that the inclusive fitness of a subordinate female that stays is just equal to the inclusive fitness of a subordinate female that leaves. Let's assume that when the subordinate female leaves she produces (S) offspring and the dominant produces (L) offspring.

When S = 2L and G = 5L what share (p) of group offspring will the dominant have to yield to the subordinate to keep her from leaving? Assume that these two females are diploid mammals that are also half sisters (relatedness = .25)

p = 2L-.25(5L-L) / 5L (1-.25)

p = .266

----------

Problem 2 (having trouble)

Now assume (for the same values of S = 2L and G = 5L) that the dominant has lost her ability to control reproduction such that the subordinate can take as much reproduction (p) as she desires. Solve for the maximum value of p that will be tolerated by the dominant before she kicks out the subordinate (i.e. the inclusive fitness of the lone dominant is equal to keeping the subordinate in the group).

- I am having trouble reworking the equation to solve for this if that is even what I am supposed to do. I don't know how to tie in the inclusive fitness of the lone dominant
