I run pretty good
TianYuan, Nov 25 2007
***Commence brag****

The 7k hands of NL50 was me trying to play like 20 tables, I quickly decided against that :D
The NL100 hands are from 2 sessions of 9 tabling. Running sooooooooo good!
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/322472 - Guy stacking off 300bb deep with bottom 2 vs my straight. Ship?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/322665 - EZ GAME SON
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/322668 - Wee
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/322667 - Hmm, had raised his limps a million times and he just kept folding post flop. I think I need to bet a little more on the turn, since I guess I have to shove a blank river if he checks to me..
I dunno, he's veryveryvery passive from what I've seen. I didn't want to get check C/R AI after making a huge turn bet, and I kinda thought he probably had a not so great hand.. Which doesn't make sense with the river shove but I figure if he calls the turn, he shouldn't fold river unless he has like a flushdraw, in which case he's folding regardless.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/322492 - Hm, I actually almost timed out here, but I thought he was in the blind, not UTG limper. AJ, KJ, QJ, TJ etc are much more likely from the BB IMO. Also had no history and IIRC he'd not done much, anyway. Wee, snapcall 2 streets and open shove river.
Ok, now that I hit goldstar I've ordered a Wii (weeee) and it's probably time to stop playing on stars (maaaan I don't want to quit, maybe I should just move to the UK so I dont have to pay taxes ).
If anyone wants Red9s $ and has money on Stars (or InterPoker, dunno if it's possible to do site transfers on InterPoker tho) I'm looking to move about 7k~ (a little less) off rednines. Red9s doesnt technically have inter site transfer either but I think it's possible by contacting their support.
I want to dodge the currency conversion fee that I have to endure due to my Red9s money being in $ and my Neteller account being in euro.
So shoot me a pm or something. If you are an ex-TL.netter I post as FrozenArbiter on there, I dunno if that adds credibility vis a vis money transferring but at least you know I've been around the TL/LP community for a few years
Wondering where all the luck went tonight?
TianYuan, Nov 18 2007
.. Right here:

I'm not sure I missed a single draw, total luckbox. Like, COMPLETE luckbox.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/317669
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/317671
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/317672
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/317673
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/317674
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/317675
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/317676
And... etc There were a few hands where I raised like suited connectors/connectors and flopped trips like hand after hand, and of course everytime I was over-tripped I boated the river - ez game.
So in case any NL100 regs on stars are wondering where the hell all their luck went, you can rest easy - it all went to me!
Weird I run looser on stars NL100 than I do at Prima NL200.. Maybe because everybody raises you on there and everyone just calls calls calls on stars
Pretty close to goldstar again on stars, so I can finally use my 40k fpps for something, most likely a Wii =]
And I REALLY love stars software, I wish I could keep playing on here but it just doesn't make sense if I ever plan on paying taxes (which I kinda want to do once I start earning real amounts of money, so I prefer playing on a EU site) =[
Hand that I'm not sure about from the 1/2 session:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/317582
The guy was 30/16/1.5~ and I'd been at the table for about 2 orbits (I'd played 2 hands, rest krablar). I had seen him raise UTG, check call a K75 flop vs UTG+1, check a K (or 7 turn) and bet out on a 7 river (or a King river, I forgot the order), losing to QQ.
I think he bluffs turn A LOT, just from instinct, but this is like a really bad card for him to do it on isn't it? Probably wouldn't be horrible to just check/fold turn. I dunno.
God I suck
TianYuan, Nov 12 2007
Why am I so fucking awful at headsup
First HU attempt ended down 900 at .5/1 (2k hands)
Second ended down.. I dunno, I guess 1.1k (400 .5/1, 700 from some guy I just played at 1/2 since I saw him drop 15 buyins to someone I know.. of course, I'm too fucking horrible to win vs him since I'm either a weaktight retard or a retarded callingstation paying off obvious better hands). Total hands like 6.5k or so this time.
I mean fuck, it's not even about the money, I have enough of a roll for it to not REALLY hurt (I dunno how much I have exactly right now, but if I had to guess I'd say between 8.5k and 9k, although I'm gonna have to cashout about 1.5k that's still a fine roll for 1/2), it's just embarassing I guess.
The problem with this session was that I sat down expecting him to be some kind of magical ATM - I mean, I had just obsed him donate 15 buyins (yes, 15 buyins) by doing things like snapcalling shoves with 3rd pair. I don't think I took a single note or paid any attention to how he was playing until like 10-15 minutes in, I was just not at all in the right state of mind to play and was stupid for doing so.
Of course that was because he was on extreme insane tilt vs him, but not vs me. And by the time I understood that I was already stuck a buyin and I'm much too stubborn to quit when down._.
EDIT: Does anyone know if I can move all my 1/2 handhistories to a new database? I have so many .5/1 ones in my current prima one that it's pretty slow so I want to split them up since I only need the 1/2 ones anyway.
Some hands
TianYuan, Oct 28 2007
Back in the green for the month, very lazy month (20k hands) and due to being -800$ in NL100 (6 buyins dropped to guy who calls 4bets with K6o..) and about -1.5k trying to move back up to NL300 I was down until today :C
Up 2.5k at 1/2 for the month tho, so that's nice. 4bb/100 (5.5k$) over 35k hands isn't bad I think.. Maybe not great but I'm not unhappy.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/304597 - Saw him C/C OOP when he made the nutflush on the turn after raising and cbetting.
Soooooo, I thought 56 was veryveryvery likely and I was kinda disgusted but I think I have to bet/call T.t
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/304596 - Bleh I run good. But IIRC that was the second time he minraised me.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/304595 - God bless the 60/20 people who play their hands backwards (IE minbet nuts overbet air).
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/304594 - Bleh, Jyoung is a donkey, N_W huge nit. Booh.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/304593 - Hm, I think I can call turn here without it being spewy. I was floating to bet turn if checked to cause I thought his halfpot might be weak, since he'd done that and folded to a C/R before (3 way).
Some graphs:
NL200

NL300

NL100 Heads-up

I played really well for some parts of this month, then REALLY bad for some parts and the last few thousand hands I feel like I've been playing ok but not great.
NL300 was pure variance rape.
This hand best describes my 2nd attempt at NL300

Thought he had exactly air.
I don't know if this was TRULY horrible (I think it most likely was tho), since I do have a backdoor diamond draw and he was check/raising or raising my cbets relentlessly, but it still goes to show how I've been playing last couple of days (well, last night and today, played fine before that).
Too fancy, too impatient, a little too unconfident at times (ie AK allin preflop used to be like 'YAY' now it's like 'maybe I can 4bet and fold to a shove...'.
Need to start sleeping better, don't feel sharp at all.
Had a few.. embarassing hands that I'll just not post, played them really really poorly!
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301219 - I thought he had a flushdraw or some such but truth be told I might well have folded hadn't I been slightly tilted.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301218 - this is a flop fold right? He has a set here like 99% of the time (maybe maybe maybe 2 pair).
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301217 - 17/12.. I think the river is a really easy call in hindsight but for some reason I found it hard :[
I want to go hide in a hole.
TianYuan, Oct 21 2007
That is all.
So disappointed.
TianYuan, Oct 19 2007

Down 1.2k~ (down about 5 buyins at NL300, up 1.5 buyins at NL200).
Didn't tilt, despite running sooooooooooooooooooo bad at one table (I had the worst image in the history of poker, but I couldn't leave that table because there was a 70/50 retard sitting..).
HANDS..
Winners:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298445 - Blah, turn call is kinda --- But TP and NFD vs a complete unknown.. I didn't want to raise on flop cause UTG was still in, and on turn my equity isn't great.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298446 - A bit worried about a check/raise from the guy who did, but I figured I wanted to build a little pot + good flop to cbet since he's almost certainly 3betting good aces. Turn raise was too big by me.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298447 - One of the worst players I've ever seen -_- He ended up donating 2 buyins on an ace high flop with tens..... Not to me tho.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298448 - More good stuff.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298449 - Wee
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298450 - Wee x2
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298451 - Almost 90% certain he was on a flushdraw, so I was betting the turn for value.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298459 - Thought his hand was.. Air. Like, the no pair no draw type of air. Oh well guess it was a flushdraw..
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298466 - Felt nice.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298462 - Snapcalled on flop, dunno if I should bet turn or not
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298461 - A little bit lost on turn, but I decided his most likely hand was a big pair with a diamond in it, I figure KKK, AdKx raise flop.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298468 - one of the first hands I played..
Losers:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298453 - Soooo frustrating, I can't raise anywhere because this guy doesn't fold >ANYTHING<. Said he had A2.. ._.
EDIT: Talked to Grot and I think this was a bad turn call now, thought my equity was better.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298454 - RUN BETTER PLZ.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298474 - Blah, the guy is completely fucking retarded, should probably have raised turn even though I didn't think he had a flushdraw (little afraid of limped AA..). EDIT: Ugh, for some reason I thought he made a huge raise on the turn.. I must have been distracted, that smallish raise he made is much more likely to be a flushdraw
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298465 - You play very well, sir!
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298455 - I herocall goot..
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298458 - Nice setup prima, very nice.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298463 - Vs a COMPLETE muppet (the 70/30ish kind).
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298457 - lol
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298464 - Second time he minraised my cbet in just a few hands, so.. blah.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298471 - .. awesome.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298472 - gfhgudhgdhfgdig
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/298470 - I didn't think he'd check a set here twice, so I figured likely hands were: AcAx, KcKx, maybe KcQx.
NL300 is SOOOOOOOOO SOFT, but I can't win there.. Still comfortably rolled for it but fuck it, I'll stick to 1/2 for the duration of the month I think..
At least there I'm running at like 4.8bb/100 ._.
I wish the fish had all left when I was like half a buyin away from even.. Poker variance really sucks when all you can do is bet for value and check fold because you are playing vs complete idiots who won't fold anything ever
And yes I realize it's only like 4 buyins (well -5 at NL300 and up about 300 from NL200) but it was just one of those really shitty, disappointing sessions.
Heads up - Why I shouldn't play it
TianYuan, Oct 16 2007

Soooo a few days ago I decided that hey, playing heads up would be fun. Played a tiny mini session 2 days ago, ran hot, won a buyin. Played a long session vs some maniac who would 3bet every hand and never fold to 4bets..
Well:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295337 - wee
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295338 -
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295974 - Inducing~_~
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295329 - Snapcalls my shove with K6o.. lol
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295332 - awful, AWFUL play by me. Bet bigger turn, bet smaller river, fold to shove.
Probably.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295333 - had a read he would check behind any strong hand on the turn so I decided to shove. Unfortunately he had a pair and not air.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295335 - Mmmk
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295473 - Decided I'd had enough.
And vs someone else:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295983 - MASTERFULLY PLAYED BY ME.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295342 - I thought he had a draw here, but turns out I rivered his KT. This led me to doing the same thing again later in the session.. with the same result.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295344 - Oops.
And someone else..
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295466 - Awesome start to the match!!
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295464 - Backdooring like a true champ.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295465 - Bleh, bad raise size on the flop.
And from today:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295797 - Plan was to float, possibly pickup a clubdraw on turn, and bluff river if he checked twice (which I felt he might). When second heart appeared I knew he continues betting with 1 heart so I decided to proect and raised him. Blah the betsizing should have tipped me off tho.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295798 - 2 hands later (after splitting a KT vs KT allin for 2$ :D).
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295799 - 1 hand later.
I'm good.
Ok so at this point I decided I suck at heads up, so I played some 1/2 6 max instead, where I proceeded to run at like 40/30 for a while (settling down at 30/28, and eventually ending up at 24/21 total).
Did good:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295989 - Oops
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295951 - Ship
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295966 - <3 gundersen
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295967 - <3333
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295968 - Bah, too bad it came before I could reload from the hand before.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295970 - Awkward amounts of money left.. How would you play this?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295969 - No idea what this guy was doing here..
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/295993 - Very low AF on later streets IIRC, so figured I could safely call and check it down if he didn't have me beat.
Bought a pretty watch a couple of weeks ago, nothing expensive (about 250-300$ I guess?) but I thought it looked nice!

I'm gonna give heads up another shot later (as in much later, as in a few weeks..) most likely, cause it's fun, and I think I'll stick to 1 table. I start playing waaaaay too fast even when just 1 tabling.
Also, I think I'm gonna try to learn how to play limit (watched some Stoxtrader and Schneids limit videos and it really looks very fun), not sure what stakes I should start at to learn tho. My whole limit experience comes from playing the lowest stakes on stars for fun (those have to be the softest games anywhere on the planet btw).

So yeah why not!
Something hilarious I've noticed
TianYuan, Oct 11 2007
Ok so some details to explain why I find this funny:
I started playing poker in late november 2006. I've played approximately 700 000 hands.
From august to present day:

From may to august (with a few microstakes hands added in from later dates)

April

(SICK TILT MONTH)
I don't have any graphs older than this, since when I moved to UB I invested in a legit version of pokertracker and PAHud, and I didn't move my old databases to the new one (I might still have them somewhere tho).
During Mars I could barely play due to all my money being stuck in neteller (so I was playing like NL5 and 5$ HU sit n gos).
This is how many hands I've played total on PS:
614 155
SO. I barely played in November so between December 2006 and February 2007 I played 500 000 hands.
Sickest life?
Oh and to add to the life tilting amount of hands that is, I was breakeven for all of february after losing 60% of my roll when moving up to NL50 (I moved down immediately as soon as I was down to 16 buyins but I then proceeded to play a two day marathon - with sleep - where I lost another 500 on NL25 and 10).
So I played 500 000 hands and made next to no money (600$ was my bankroll when I moved to UB).
Awesome.
My current bankroll, with rakeback added in, is at around 9k (I'm not sure exactly how much rake I've got coming but it should be around 9k).
