Live poker HU challenge wont happen
Guy msged me today -> he is sorry but he was dunk and overexaggerated ....

hes an American who moved to germany and now has a restaurant that is specialized on XXL heavyweight burgers.
I think thats quite a nice idea since germany is really lacking good burgers from my experience ...
we mostly have that McDonalds and BurgerKing stuff in small to very small size >-<

was there for the 3rd time this year and as always it was a pleasure
Burgers are like 20-25cm caliber with estimated hight of 12-16cm on every burger theres at least 250g of beef
The biggest of the burgers in the sortiment , called Hermanns Monster Burger has close to 600g beef on it !!!

this may not be special to americans but its totally different to the small and shitty stuff were used to in germany

didnt believe this was still possible ...

Well, sooner or later it had to happen ...
-5 buy ins on NL50 in 1,7K hands ....

So how was this possible ...

1st) I didnt make hands whole session ...
after like 900 hands , when i still didnt flop anything i got bored and switched to bluffing style ...
unfortunately villians today were the most nobblish calling stations ive played in a long time ..

I made some sick bluffs in good spots ...
however villians called me down with 3rd pairs and stuff all day ...

example

I have 57 and 3 bet a villian
he insta calls ( ive seen him raise -> 3bet insta call with low pockets before so i saw a good chance he had a low pocket)
flop K55 rainbow
he 1/2 pots kinda fast ... and i was pretty sure he had a low pocket or was at least not too strong -> i called with intention to bluff the turn if he checks
Turn Q he checks ---> i shove all in -> he timebanks and finally calls showing 88 >-<

several of this situations happend

Well , session today i had probably two choices
1st) Continue normal play and just check/fold all day since i couldnt hit a hand in 1000 years and end like -1buy ins after 1700hands ..
2.) try to make money without hitting hands ...

since i got insanely bored for missing all flops all day i choose descision 2

Hm , from retroperspective conditions today had been a dream for valuetowning ...
but there is nothing to valuetown when u dont make hands ^^

so after 12 big winning sessions at NL50 in a row i finally managed to have a losing session

since my second attempt at NL100 also kinda failed ...
back to Nl50 today

as usual amazing results
+104 $ in 810 hands for 12BB/100

lol i dont even know when the last NL50 session was that not felt like a walk in the park >.<
I am now 14K hands + 1293$ on NL50 since 16th may ( ~ 9BB/100)


I played some Nl100 and i won some ... i lost some (lost a bit more than i won)... but in the end results werent amazing
however , everytime i play Nl50 i absolutely rape it ... I end up 1-3 buy ins every session no matter what coolers and beats i face ..

afte ri reached 2000BR again i tried a NL 100 session today
the shoot came earlier than i originally intended ... but i simply figured out that i beat NL50 so hughe that it was a waste if i didnt try another Nl100 session.

So i started playing.
1st thing i really realized now is that NL100 on Ipoker is much more like NL25Pokerstars then Nl50Ipoker
ure fold equity in big pots is close to zero >-<

80% of my NL50 winnings whith which i crushed it came from pure agression and being a sick aggro postflop player
i realized very soon today that this style will not work one bit at Nl100
As soon as people are in the pot they will either insta fold or they will play till showdown ...

So there is absolutely no way to bluff people out of big pots ...
i was - 450$ after just 400hands trying to play my NL50 style ...

Then i changed my style completely
Ofc since i figured out the style which whitch i approached Nl50 was not working on Nl100 and i had to change something.
so since every "reg" at Nl100 plays TAG hit or fold poker , i figured out the best way to beat them is polarize my preflop range more and play all kinds of low SConnectors...

this was the only way to make sure i can constantly win big pots vs them. ( since they overplay their overpairs and TPTK)
besides that i really tightend up so much postflop and did only maybe 3-4 bluffs in the next 2K hands
bluffs worked really well on NL50ipoker but on Nl100 Ipoker there is almost no chance ...

And hell it worked !
next 2000hands i had the biggest cashflow/hands i ve ever had in my life
i made + 520 $ in 2K hands with that strategy ! I stacked people left and right with my hidden 2pairs,trips and straights vs their overpairs and TPTK
-> lol that was 130$ net profit an hour ....

at hand 2400 i was + 70$ and about to quit the session ...
last hand unfortunetlly i had Nutstraight on a paired board vs an 87/30/2 donkey ...
this time he rivered FH being 150BB deep with me ....

so i was - 80$ again and didnt want to quit session ...
then i lost every flip vs shortsacks and also tilted a bit ...
finally ended down -230 overall

well BR is down to 1750$ again and i had a losing session which sucks ...

positive
-I found a way from which i firmly belive is able to beat Nl100 for > 4BB/100
-I again progressed as a player
- session starting from where i adapted my strategy(including tons of ugly bad beats and coolers) was + 230$ in 2,1K hands which is really nice... ~ 6BB/100


Well i really liek to look at it from an EV point of view
today I lost some money but the expectet value of money i will make in the future drastically increased.

maybe i ll play another session in the evening

LOl today i met an old schoolmate at a party
we were pretty drunk and talked about poker
and he was like : i am the shit i rule live poker ...
and i was like : have u ever played online ?`if no , i will challenge u HU
He said : he hasnt played online but he is pretty good live and he is a hughe winner playing his friends and he would accept every Hu challenge

we agreed on Nl100 euro HU ...
match ends when someone is up 5 buy ins ...

i am not sure if he will really show up ...
but i definitely will

well i am not that good of a Hu player
but i have some nl50 and some Nl100 Hu experience
Besides that i play 1-3 hours of online poker every day.
I have a pretty sick 8,5BB/100 winrate on Nl50

his achievements so far are some 15euro live sngs that he plays 2-3 times a month ...
he hasnt played online and he is a winner at 5euro live cashgames with some friends ....

i dont know if this will ever happen , cause he probably will reailze 500euro is more than he thought when he is sober
but if this will ever happen i ll do a report here

funny thing is i even run like 100$ below equity almost every session .... >-<
But i feel like with my current skill , built form detailed analyzing of Leggo NL100-Nl600 videos
that NL50 isnt even a challenge.
Its just a Goldmine , where u go in , take some money out and have a nice day ....

Today + 57 $ on NL50 in 888 hands
here are my last 20 days on NL 50 6max since i changed my playstyle to what i play now.

before that i played 8max

I think i definitely figured out an agressive postflop style which absolutely crushes Nl50 6max
I mean i lose 2-3 big pots for stacks in every session and yet end up 7BB/100 after 11,5K hands ...
I just rape the hell outa the bad Nl50 regs with well timed agression. Havent met 1 Nl50 player to give me trouble ^^

I had 19 winning and only 1 loosing session in my last 20 days of Nl50



Other than that
After some LP guys recommended a nice movie I dl and watched Pirates
Fucking great film !
I literally rolled on the floor laughing during the film.
Great slapstick comedy + hot biatches + lesbian sex + some intelligent humor

goes well so far

Today + 147 $ at NL50

Dont know after playing 6K hands at NL100 my first session at NL50 again seemd so soft that i smiled almost every pot i was involved
regulars at NL50 are worse than the Nl100 fish for the most part.
NL 100 has also improved my Hand reading abilities quite a lot ( though it was an expensive -900$ lession

they are just very tight preflop and totally predictable postflop + instead of having a polarized range as many players on Nl100 6max
they tend to overplay medium/good hands all the time when they are agressive

today felt like the easiest 147$ profit i ve made in my life

Thing is he had no read on me since i was kinda new to the table and only had played a few hands.

SO just for the newblors and micro stakers out there i will explain why i think his play is bad

first of all calling 3bet oop vs an unknown with AQ isnt good in general on such low limits as Nl50
If he has a read that i am 3betting light and a bad player postflop this might be okay
But with no read i think his play is soo - EV cause to make it a profitable play he must be sure of 2 things
a) I am stacking of light postflop on boards that give him the better hand b) i am 3 betting with AJ and worse AX hands.

since he cant know either of the 2 things his play was very newb.
I am never ever stacking off on A high flop with KK or QQ + my 3 betting range is very polarized so i either have AQs+ any pocket pair or stuff liek 35s 46s etc.

So as a result of that either he wins a small pot when he hits and i dont or he losses a very big pot all the time when he hits the A or Q and i hit A better kicker , 2 pair or Set with my polarized range

In this example villian was a total fish 46/31/ with high flop agression but no agression on other streets.
he minraises me Flop
well he likes to play all kind of preflophands that could make a flush or straight and seems to get it in on flop always when having a part of it.

so his minraise could mean all sorts of things
on average i thought overpair + Gutshot would be good enough vs his very very wide range to not fold to a minraise here
he was kinda short also so i decided to go with it.
I wasnt super happy to get it in but i guess its + EV on average vs him for sure.

here is an example of how obvious people at Nl50 tell their hand.
He limps PF and i call in position with my connector since i know he plays so bad and i liek playing pots with him being in position with almost all kinda hands that could make something.

flop everybody checks to me
so i am sure a stab at the pot with midpair is + EV
2villian fold 1 villian calls
turn he checks again.

And this is so typical for many Nl50 players ... board was kinda draw heavy and he check/calls 2 streets + overbets river when all draws missed >-<
i was sure 85% of the time he has a missed fd or a missed straight draw trying to be cool ^^ 15% he has 78 for the turned straight that he checked.
so i called

besides that i won a bazillion small pots
