after a year of degening, i sat back after my big win over xmas break and came to the conclusion that i never want to deposit on stars again, i have enough $ to hold me over for 4-5 months, so im working my way up the limits and taking my time and enjoying it, instead of forcing it like i've been doing

after reading frinkx's recent blog on his december wrap up its became apparent to me that i suffer from most of the tilt issues he suffers from in cashgames, mostly cuz ive played outside my roll so often..

so from here on, i'm going to only be playing on 100bi for each limit, spending 80% of my time in 45man sng tournaments and 20% of my time mass tabling micros fr and 8 tabling 6max

i find these games to be my most profitable in the long run and keep me from getting burnt out

I'm giving poker one shot, if i lose my deposit, im going to take 6 months off and re-evaluate my life.

my blogs will be rare and far and few between since ill be spending most of my time grinding micros

the way i see it, its a new year, time to throw all the bullshit of the window and start the new year right

after xmas i blew around 600 getting re-adjusted to online poker after a long stint of casino play, made a small re-deposit and will be working up the limits.

like i said, im givin myself 1 shot at this this year, if i revert to my old degenerate ways im quitting and moving back to taiwan to teach and re-evaluate while doing so.

so yesterday i take "$125 into mtt's" and manage on burning $320 by the end of my session.

im feeling pretty greedy, a little tilted and in low confidence poker wise

talked with a friend for a bit and we came to the conclusion that i should grind nl2 for a day or two and rework my way up to rebuild my confidence

i agreed this will help with that and to get the greed out of me (chasing many 5k wins yesterday and getting sucked out on / bad beat so many times)

so im gonna start at nl2 or nl5 today, idk prob nl2 just for the purpose

have 368.70

wish me luck

back from xmas, went a lil nutty tryin to win a nice amount to go to vegas over new years, lost around 500 online but managed to win a few k in the casino over xmas so alls good

spent a mil on xmas presents this year, had a good time, found out some hottie likes me there so obv ill be shippin my car back there more often

so i put $600 on stars (limit) today to restart at nl25

no reason to rush things, but its going to go like this

micros (nl10 - nl50 til i have 2.3k)

unlock nl100 and start the grind there, i hope to get there by the first or second week of 09 and see what i can make grinding nl100 and hopefully some nl200 by the end of the year

i had a sick bad year this year, in past years i'd had won around 25k-35k a year (live and online combined), this year i won 11k

oh well, i learned a lot about poker as a business instead of a game and have had many good friends point me in the right direction to do the new year right

so ill start D12 today in a bit with 625, i'll be doing mostly nl25 for the first few days, pickin on some shortstack fish @ hu as well most likely, idk yet

yesterday was brutal, i made a shove with 50x bb while 3/37 in the $10 30k gntd with a ton of fe vs tp, i had oesd...in retrospect i shoulda reraised it and shoved turn, just had a blow up

tilted me pretty bad, managed to lose around 200 after that, wanted the 5k so bad, cashed for 70

so im takin this weekend off except for the mtt's i really wanna play

my rolls hurt, i might have to go redeposit

im working my hardest on my discipline, it seems i have a big leak though, almost everytime i get disapointed from a mtt i go degen at cashgames chasing that score i thought "i deserved"

its so pathetic

hopefully i can get a nl25 or nl50 roll built by monday or else ill see the fellow lp microers on the micros
