NL25

I woke up this morning constantly thinking about PAHUD..IDK why, I think it was in my dream last night or something
So i start troubleshooting my PAHUD cuz I haven't used it in well over a year, and come to finally found out that its just not compatible with PT3, so I got my PT2 reinstalled and now I'm playing with stats again.
This is so refreshing and takes alot of the guessing out of the game (approx ranges ppl should have, but this narrows the ranges so much...I was convinced PAHUD was hurting my game before, and maybe that was the case then, but now its so uber helpful, thank god I'm using it again :-)
So i played a couple hours, heres my graph for todays session

And my graph of NL25 6max so far

And my graph of NL25 so far

Going to take the rest of the night off for superbowl etc

Had a nice session today after the weekly 100k, got 250th, idk what i won, i think like $40 or something.
Was really motivated after i busted out (had a misclick that cost me 20k chips and kinda tilted after that for the remainder of the tourney, oh well who cares, donkaments)
So I played a few more hours of 6max today, my last blog is this mornings session and this blog is this afternoons session
+350ish day combining both sessions;

Going to bed, eyes have been burning lately, gonna have a good rest and have a fun superbowl day sunday. Hope to put in some quality hours of grinding as well, probably right after the super bowl or around noon

NL25 has been going well, I went through a pretty bad downswing, found I was playing overly aggressive at the end of the downswing and made some necessary changes (was raising drawing hands utg and utg+1 which was giving my cbets less credibility which was giving my bluffs less credibility, also ran into a few set over sets, tptk on very drawy boards vs mid sets in 3bet pots, etc. So i cut out alot of the drawing hands to re-establish more credibility and have been giving myself a 2 bi stop loss, if i drop 2 bi, quit for 5 minutes to an hour and come back and play again, this way i don't dig myself too deep while playing poorly or running poorly or a combination, especially since I run 14-24 tables at all times)
I also cut out most of the hero calling, and have been looking at my hourly rate ($25.66 atm) much more so than ever before. This, combined with playing on over 50 buy-ins is giving me the comfort to play tilt-free poker, and stay logical in my decision making process.
After analyzing my game and making some changes, I continued to play my best, I stayed even for around 1-2k hands before I started to swing back up again.
Heres my chart of NL25 6max so far;

And my chart of NL25 so far;

I plan on playing the monthly 100k today and the weekly 20k, as mentioned earlier, if i mention a tournament before playing it then there will be no $25 pay-out for playing in it.
Its taken me a little time getting used to being a 6max player again, its been over 15 months since I've been consistently a 6max player.
I'm feeling much more comfortable everyday at 6max though, and am very eager to hit 2k so I can move up to NL50.
Hopefully another 10-25k hands and I'll be there.

Most hands ever
NeillyJQ, Jan 30 2009
I played the most hands i ever played in one day today
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 13656 hands
had a few sessions
started the day at 1001 - ran up to 1366
came back, dropped 10 bi 1070 or something
came back again, dropped 10 bi to 810ish
came back, said 1.5 bi stop loss, ZERO mistakes and I played very well in my eyes, i dropped 1/2 a buyin before i started winning, i got counterfitted on a couple big pots, but w/e

so i got back to even, weee
btw, i think it was yomer who was saying "tilt" or something, which 100% isn't the case, i play a very aggressive game and i push around a lot of fold equity, i just kept missing when it was the right play and kept getting sucked out on w/ top two. had some coolers too, like tptk vs mid set (co opens - i 3bet AK otb - he calls) flops KT3ssx, his range is huge, he check raises from 5 to 15 on this board, i kinda ship cuz most of those spade draw / open ender / Kx I can get lot of value from and I'm only behind TTT, I didn't think he would raise 33 or w/e the low card was PF, meh, he coulda had KT but that was highly unlikely to be calling 3bets with oop although we were deep
BR $1,016.93
w/e, i have all the time in the world, tomorrows a new day, hopefully i can inch closer to nl50 lawl

Just had an epic downswing at NL25 6max, no hands held, top two vs tptk, 3bet pots with tptk vs mid sets for 2bi's etc, ended up losing 11bi and quitting around my 10 bi stop loss. (lost 2 bi at the very end...was down 9bi and 2 hit me real fast while i was closing tables)
This was a really bad session, I feel 100% that I was playing my A+ game, but the cards just wouldn't comply.
Meh, shoulda just took the rest of the day off

::EDIT:: played another 2 hour session and lost 10 more buy-ins to sick sick fucking coolers, to every light 3better picking up monsters vs me everytime they 3bet me on the button....FUCK i couldn't win in any way shape or form.
Search my name and look at the hands posted, yes i did make 1-2 mistakes here and there, but t
(shows it wasn't any bluffs that was causing me to lose, was just getting run over by the deck in so many unfoldable situations =[)

FML T_T
upside is I never tilted and played my absolute best throughout the whole session, although I did try a hero at the end with mptk vs a set and instaquit after that
BR 1078.68 - update - BR 803.63 (these downswings are fucking raping me, i took an hour off, came back and couldnt win a pot STILL)
session 3 - won 4bi, 895.35
Overall 20 bi downswing, im taking a break for a while, this game started to frustrate me at the end.

After a couple days of mtt's and sng's, i found myself sitting back at 1k from 1260ish high point.
Overall realizations are that playing PLO/HU/MTT's/SnG's tilt me and get me chasing loses, which lead to some degenerate decisions. Therefore I completely cut these games out of my repitore and will be playing ONLY 6max and Full Ring until I'm rolled for NL200 (and most likely I will just cut these games out of my game plan for good, I mean, the results speak for themselves)
Also put in a lot of thought and realized how stupid it is for me to stick to mostly FR when my winrate @ 6max is SO much higher, so instead of playing 75% FR and 25% 6max like i've been doing, I'm switching that up to 50-80% 6max and some FR when I want to just sit and nitbot (when im not too focused ill play FR)
So heres my stats from todays first 2 sessions at 6max;
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 3813 hands and saw flop:
- 248 out of 688 times while in big blind (36%)
- 124 out of 679 times while in small blind (18%)
- 303 out of 2446 times in other positions (12%)
- a total of 675 out of 3813 (17%)
Pots won at showdown - 101 of 180 (56%)
Pots won without showdown - 689
Obv running fairly well, and playing close to my best as well, all my hands are posted on the LP, its easy to see where I started back at NL25 and stopped MTT's and SnG's.
Heres my charts of NL25 so far (6max and full ring), I took a couple days off cashgames after getting sidetracked w/ MTT's/PLO/SnG's. Those games are not close to being profitable for me in the long run (maybe SnG's are but the variance they bring is NOT welcome in my game)

So i took yesterday off and restarted this morning at 1001.13.
BR now $1361.73, I do expect to play more today and hopefully hit 1500 or 1600.
Kind of disappoints me, the bad decisions I made earlier in the week with PLO / SNG's / MTT's has cost me from being at NL50 right now to still being at NL25, but some serious realizations about long term profits were made, and you'll see me mostly on the 6max tables for now on, I mean seriously, another couple days to a week and I'll be at NL50, then a week or so from there and I'm at my goal (NL100)
Anyways, keep an eye on me if you think I'm gonna make any mistakes!
If you spot me playing a MTT (other than the $11 200k gntd on sundays and the fpp saturday tournaments (goldstar 100k, siver 20k etc), which are mostly a waste of time, but one stroke of luck in these donkfests could boost my roll so big, i think its always worth the time/risk) or a sunday tourney ($55+ plus which I get staked for sometimes) then I will ship you $25!
If you spot me playing PLO before NL200 then I'll ship you $25!
If you spot me playing HU before NL200 then I will ship you $25 as well!
Therefore, anyone who spots me playing HU/PLO/MTT's before I'm at NL200 by my bankroll guidelines will get $25!
(This excludes any tournaments I'm staked for *if staked for a tournament, it will be posted in my blog or the first HH of the tournament that I post on LP* and the sunday 200k.)

Ryan
QFT - Rehabs a bitch - whamm! (But I believe I've come a long way, and will atleast come close to achieving my yearly goals)
PS - Fayth's ballin half month of play for 100k, and his house was really inspiring, no matter how well or not well I get along with him, hes really inspiring.
OMAHAHAHA
NeillyJQ, Jan 27 2009
i mean seriously, fuck that game
At the end of day 1 at nl25 i was at 1260
I run omaha and drop to 900
play sngs and mtt's day two, get up to 1150
lose 150 playing omaha
start day 3, BR : $950 -
Say to myself "Im gonna crush omaha today, im so sick of variance crushing me, watch out!" and continue to drop another 150 before realizing I'm never going to win at omaha again or something
so im down around $700 +/- $100, and even from where i started 3 days ago (my PT3 doesnt track omaha but I've been crushing NL25 FR to make up for the loses, and now that I worked my way back to 1k even, I'm erasing omaha from my games list, or only playing it at super micro games (NL5 etc)
BR $1001.13
Lesson - Omahas variance is higher than any other game, i thought i was good at omaha, now im not to sure if im good at it or was running good in the past (although i've never had a run like this in omaha in my life)
Its good encouragement to stick to FR, thats where like 90% of my profits are from and some from $12 180 man turbos, although the turbos are also pretty high variance, I'm only going to play them 1 day a week for now on, seriously, with a mix of the $6 sng's which are really easy $85 at a time if you run alot of them and finish off the FT's well.
Meh, not bad though, if I were playing the way I used to play, the runs I had in omaha would have rolled me for sure and I would be sitting here busto, but the guide has saved me, as well as limit restrictions on pokerstars!
Theres been 1-2 times where I've been in the moment where in the past I would have just opened HU tables and tried to recoop loses, but now that I'm playing deeper rolled for my limits, I see no reason to ever take such a risk when the money will be flowing in easily most days of the week.
Alright, I suck, apparently I can't beat omaha and i give up trying to play it ever again

Ryan

My first session on NL25 (played an hour, took a break, then put in another session)
/brag

4.6 hrs played so far...looking to play atleast 6 hrs a day
I have 3000 FPP right now, im aiming for SN by April 5th
probably put in more time soon, gonna take a break for a little bit, lately ive been playing 1-2 hr sessions and taking a break, it seems to help my focus and concentration a lot, also stopped looking at cashier til the session is over, which makes me sweat each hand way less. (sometimes just a 3-5 minute break and staying on the tables, other times closing them and relaxing until im juiced to play again)

How many of you has this happened to?
Your gettin down with your girl / some random chick or floofy / and she gives you head, after you cum, she attempts to kiss you with a mouthful of cum.
I've had this happen to me from more than one girl, both times they were joking, and both times i was like "GOOOOOOOOO BRUSH THOSE TEEEEEEEEEETH, GET THE FUCK OUTA HERE"

Poll: Cumguzzling kissers
(Vote): This has happened to me atleast once
(Vote): This has never happened to me
(Vote): My name is Floofy

Just felt like posting something random here
Oh, I'm starting NL25 now, wish me luck guys, I reset my PT database too since there was some mixed hands in there from before the guide was written, I figure NL25 is just as good as time as any to start a fresh one+I just got the new PT3 upgrade)

A week after that ridiculous monkey swing I made, I've recovered my loses and then some, even dropped to NL5 for a while when I was at my lowest point
I took a couple days off cuz we got a wii at my house, and have been getting really good at tennis (so addictive) and getting a ridiculous amount of sleep (16 hrs last night after 4 straight nights of 4-6 hrs of sleep)
Was wondering if anyone can give me some good titles to buy for the wii and a brief explanation of why the games good if possible. (especially Zelda)
OK heres my recent sharkscope, I ran 20 $11 HU SnG's this morning and pulled a nice profit, although I could have won a few more bi's if it weren't for suckouts, standard variance, w/e. I did run better than my last session which was nice.
(45 games played since my last graph, +150)

I'm going to run $11 HU SnG's until I have $840 and move up to the $23 level
Ever since switching to sng's, i've been pulling a nice profit everyday with very little or no stress while playing, its just as good as fr imo, which I'll still play when I just wanna nit it up.
I'd also like to say that I got a little out of line with my last post to crownroyal, I over-reacted at him, hes been stabbin at me for a while and I was in a really pissy mood and just wrote up a retarded blog on how hes a retard, but hes a person and deserves respect, so i'll do my best to lay off.
