A few weeks ago I went to a Detroit Red Wings vs Chicago Blackhawks game and I just recently got around to uploading my pics to my comp and they turned out pretty nice. So I thought I would write up a blog post about my experience.




I have not been to a Red Wings game since I was a little kid /w my dad. They were playing Chicago so I knew it was going to be a tight game. Good old original 6 match up.

I actaully felt a little star struck being that close to these guys it was weird lol. It was a great game too but sadly my Wings lost in OT 3-2. I had a blast though and cant wait to go to another game.

Looks like the Wings got Phoenix first round in the playoffs which Im not to thrilled about considering Phoenix took the Wings to game 7 last year. But Im not THAT worried :D Wings in 5!

I havent been blogging at over the last few months. Mainly because I havent been playing a lot of poker because I have been busy with school and other real life things lol. But now that I just about done school I have a lot more time to put towards poker after this month.

I switched to iPoker a while back because of a sick rakeback deal that I got with them. It works out to be about 55% RB which is incredible for me considering I only play 20nl - 100nl fullring. Its a nice bit of motivation to put in large volume knowing that the payback will be huge. The software is a bit tilting when multi tabling since it lags my computer a bit but it is bearable lol.

Im digging through my database looking for hands that gave me trouble. Ive found one so far but will be adding more. Really appreciate the help and feedback guys. (Hands are fullring)

A couple weeks ago I went out with my room mate, his girl and a few of her friends. I was at the bar and got a text so I pull out my cell and text back. After I did this the one girl that was with me says "Your phone is ghetto". Well she was right lol. I go the old razor. At the time when I got it, it was the shit but that was back when I was in highschool lol.

So its time that I get a new phone. I got a free upgrade so tomorrow Im going to head out and get one. Im leaning towards the new iPhone 4 but people are still telling me to get the blackberry. What do you guys think? Other than BBM there isnt really anything appealing about it to me.

Hey guys. Im really trying to open up my game a lot lately since Ive been starting tables a lot. Its going well and Im enjoying the challenge. For now Im still working a lot of my HU game but next Im going to be working on my SH game. I need your help again LP! What are some great 6 max videos for starters? Id say with game selection I can probably beat 25nl 6 max so something around the 25nl - 50nl range would be a great help to me. I have accounts on all the big training sites. Lemme know guys

Hope everyone had a good halloween. Mine was pretty good. This year I was Maverick from Tom Cruise. A bunch of my buddies and I had a little pre drink at my place and then ended up going over to our other buddies place for a Keg party. It was a pretty good once, dece ratio lol. Got absolutely hammered. Great Night. The best costume I saw was this one guy who was dressed up as a pack of Zig Zags. It was pretty well done lol.

But yea so onto the poker and other random stuff. This month went pretty well for me and I put in a lot of hands. Been averaging around 60k hands per month over the last two months but managed to get in 90k this month which Im happy with. Here are the results



I was pretty shocked to see that my all in ev is pretty close. I would however like my winrate to be a bit higher, closer to 5-6 bb/100 which I think is totally obtainable at 25nl. Ive been playing around a 12/9 style which is pretty TAG/kinda nitty so I think I can open up my ranges in a lot of spots and Ive been messing around with these ranges a lot lately with the help of my new found love pokerstove. :D

Ive been having fun working on my ranges lately but Ive come to realize that it is a lot better to not really have a range set in stone. Instead Ive been just trying to look at the situation and see if that certain hand is a profitable in this spot. Its been working really well. I think that working on all these ranges lately has helped me narrow down what I think a lot of the regulars have in certain hands. A lot of the time there hands are played so straight forward and I am able to play very well against them now.

Starting tables is going alright. My HU game is getting alot better since I did a refresher and watched quite a few videos. Thanks for the recommendations guys. Now I need your help again! I wanna do another refresh on my SH game which still isnt that great either. What are some great starting videos for someone looking to just get into 6 max? I have access to all of the training websites.

So for November my goals are going to be as follows:
- 100k+ hands
- 1k+ Profit w/o rb.
- 4bb/100+
- Gym 3+ times a week (been doing really well at this lately)

So onto Starcraft 2! Ive been playing a bit more lately and Im having a lot of fun with Terran. I feel like thats the race Im best with. After playing in the Bronze division all month I finally made it to Silver! lol. For the most part in Bronze I just out macro everyone and its GG. Hopefully silver gives me more of a challenge :D What should I expect in moving up leagues? I dont really play much 2v2 but really feel like playing some. The problem is I dont like playing with a random because usually they really really suck so if anyone wants to 2v2 sometime pm me on here and Ill give you my SN.

But anyways, Im gonna go play a couple games, go over some studies and then crash. Peace all!

Lately ive been feeling pretty bad for my room mate. Him and I have been grinding for a while now, both with a little bit of success. The difference between us is that I play cash games and he is a donkament player. To his own admission he would probably say he got pretty lucky back in the day when he had two pretty big scores.Since then hes managed to do alright and make ends meat. Lately tho he has been hitting a pretty big rough patch over the past 5 months or so I would say but he is absolutely convinced that it is just a bad run of cards. I am not so sure though.

I dont know how he does it but he still only 1 tables mtt's or sngs, and doesnt use a hud and hes been playing over 4 years probably now. Personally this just sounds so tedious and I would have probably jumped off my balcony a long time ago if I had to do this. He also goes on the sickest tilt I have ever seen. Im not even kidding. I know every time he loses a big pot when Im in my room grinding because I can hear him SCREAMING f bombs etc. He also does the old tilt chat too which is pretty amusing. Id say he has Phil Hellmuth traits haha. Its true though.

So anyways I know his roll is getting really really low and I want to help him out because I think thats what a good friend does but I honestly dont even know if its worth it or what to do anymore because he is just so stubborn and has a huge ego. I have tried telling him everything and anything I can to help him. You name it, Ive probably tried. Still though he doesnt listen because like I said, he thinks he is the best player out there and its just a bad run of cards.

Been working on my HU game a bit more lately and having a lot of fun doing it along the way. Thanks for letting me know which HU videos out there are good LP. Appreciate it. pr1nnyraiding is a great series and has been a great refresher. Its really helping me get comfortable with playing more marginal hands and opening up my range. So now I need your help again guys. Im going to keep working on my HU game but since I do start tables its important that I can play shorthanded. So again, what are some good videos for someone starting to get into shorthanded play. I feel like I could use a refresher in that area of my game too. (I have accounts on all the training sites)

Been working on my starcraft game a bit too. Mostly just watching replays and trying to find some builds for each matchups. Again, thanks guys for letting me know some great sites for replays. I was shocked to see that SlayerSBoxeR is still playing! I remember WAY back in the day when he was the man. His drop ship skills were unbelievable. But yea, hopefully I will be able to put in quite a few games this weekend and get moved out of this stupid bronze division. I feel like I can beat almost anyone at this level with good macro. Need something more challenging!

Halloween is coming up which Im pretty excited for now that I got my costume. Im going to be Maverick from Top Gun this year haha. Got the aviators to go with it and everything. Going to hit up a keg party at my buddies on saturday, get shittered there and then head downtown for the rest of the night. Should be a great night.

For the most part I start FR tables when Im playing. I think its great for a number of reasons and many of you probably already know them all. Lately I kind of feel like my HU game is lacking because Im a pretty tight player for the most part so I kind of feel a bit out of my element when Im playing HU and usually hope that the game fills up rather then play HU vs someone unless he is a complete idiot. I have memberships on all the training sites and I was just wondering which series you guys think are best for HU beginners? I think I could use some review on the basics.

Other then that poker is going great and I feel like Im playing my hands really well lately. This is all thanks to pokerstove which Ive come to really enjoy messing around with. Ive been messing around with ranges and looking at how a lot of the regulars play and it is making it a lot easier for me to play against them which is always a good thing.

Havent played a lot of SC2 over the last few days, mostly been playing poker and doing homework. Hopefully I can get in a few games over the weekend and move outta the "special olympic" bronze league lol. What do you guys think a good adjustment is to when a protoss gets out his colossus and you are T. I usually try not to let the P get to this point but when he does I find that if P gets 2+ of them I get ripped to shreds. What do you guys usually do?

Probably going to get in a few games before I crash for the night.
