Couture - Coleman
Marquardt - Sonnen
Swick - Thiago
Maia - Miller
Serra - Trigg

Danzig - Buchholz
Guillard - Torres
Nover - Emerson
Stann - Davis
Hague - Tuchscherer
(Rolles) Gracie - Beltran

I think Couture's gonna grind this one out, Coleman's cardio has been questionable for a long time. Don't think he can get Randy to the ground. I'd love for the hammer taking the W tho. Thiago is getting stronger everytime I see him but meh, Swick ftw.

Marquardt by murder. After watching the vlogs and the interviews with Serra, how can you not root for this man. Also interested to see Rolles Gracie get into the octagon. Also I haven't seen a match of Tuchscherer but he's the trainingpartner of Brock Lesnar, so we know he can take a beating.

SfydjkLm   Belarus. Feb 06 2010 11:19. Posts 3810

well im not saying the fights are gonna be bad, its just that they matched em very weird stylistically -i.e. good wrestler in coleman vs better wrestler in couture, good grappler in miller vs better grappler in maia.
its just gonna be a resilient fighter fighting an uphill battle in just about all matches.
And theres ofcourse always the most exciting part- betting on whether Trig is gonna get RNCed or not.

*wink wink*

SfydjkLm   Belarus. Feb 06 2010 11:23. Posts 3810

i am marginally ecited over the possibility of Sonnen upsettin MQ. The man gave Okami man on man love after all, that, in my opinion, is impressive.

OBNOXIOUSDRUNK   Netherlands. Feb 06 2010 11:29. Posts 31

Sonnen is funny in interviews, he just doesnt give a $@!.. his plan is to out tough marquardt, well, that would be interesting..

Have you seen the Thiago countdown ? He's like crocop, shooting bad guys for a living, fighting in a cage for a hobby, he's badass..

Couture < Coleman
Marquardt < Sonnen
Swick > Thiago
Maia > Miller
Serra > Trigg

Danzig > Buchholz
Guillard < Torres
Nover > Emerson
Stann < Davis
Hague < Tuchscherer
(Rolles) Gracie > Beltran (Probably the only fight I'm actually interested in seeing)

Randy ftw just because it'd be monumental to see an upset vs shogun/machida in the future by Randy, and Coleman is running out of fights anyways. Would like to see Serra get KO the f out. Sonnen is a beast for training to be middle weight champion and running to be a government official at the same time, though Nate vs Silva 2 would probably be more entertaining.

And why does everyone gotta be named Thiago in the UFC? Weird, seems to be a first and last name.

i honestly would hope that a fight between randy vs shogun/machida wouldnt get sanctioned. i do not want to see an old man get destroyed. his chin is nowhere near good enough these days especially and hed be brutally stopped in the first.

honestly not the best card ever but rooting for serra/coleman/nate. ( even though sonnen has distinguished himself as the funniest and greatest troll of all time and is now pretty awesome. )

Personally I would love to see Machida/Shogun KTFO out of Couture, just because I can't stand the guy or the majority of his fans for that matter.

I actually used it as a report back in 9th grade for world events, everyone was too focused on wars, earth quakes and lame shit like that.

Maybe I'm just growing jaded in my old age, but I get more entertainment out of local fights than the majority of ufc/sf/dream events lately

LOL I know, like OMFG.

I think alot of it has to do with the team aspect, local events we got either team members of the cards or guys that have stopped in for a few sessions on the cards, also just watching an event live with a close knit crew of 15-20 fighters/coaches with backstage access is just an amazing experience. Kind of makes sitting at home watching a semi-decent quality stream seem a little dull.

sometimes I can't understand the cornermen.. dan miller's corner was telling him after the 2nd round that he's doing great, keep it up blabla.. if I was in his corner I would say: you lost 2 rounds, you aren't doing any combinations.. dont fight like a bitch, give everything now

damn.. really boring fight

Didn't expect Nate to be that dominated... It's weird actually. Unfortunately I don't see Sonnen surviving the first round against either Anderson nor Vitor.

I give Sonnen a chance against Silva if he fights like he did today

yeah I said it

LikeASet   United States. Feb 07 2010 00:15. Posts 2113

I'd say Sonnen has a chance maybe, but the chance vs him ground and pounding then getting caught in a submission is high vs Silva. Vitor hasn't showcased his skills a lot recently so it's hard to say, yeah he beat Rich Franklin, but he's Rich is not that great in the first place.

Anderson's weakness has proven to be strong wrestlers in the passed and at MW they don't come any stronger than Chael. As far as Nate I feel his best aspect of "wrasslin" is in the scrambles, but Chael dominated him all night in them.
