Villain is 64/48 and aggfactor of 3.6. Basically every line he takes makes very little sense, but these are spots I do run into now and then and I think I'm losing loads of value. Should I bet more on turn aswell? I was thinking shoving here might scare him off, but then again, it seems alot of the fish at 10nl take overshoves as weakness.

lol at his stack size

Haha, yeah, he had been managing to shove in right spots. Also a few hands before stacked QQ 3way against two nits who called with AKo and JJ (lol at the JJ really, third person to call).

Err, a few hands later, is what I meant.

this is a shove 100% of the time

yeah you can shove or call and jam it on any river its basically the same thing

vlseph   United States. Jun 12 2009 21:27. Posts 3026

just shove cause i doubt he is thinking and for simplicity's sake that he thinks he has the nuts whether it be 88 or 6x or 93

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

Yeah, that's really what my issue here is. If I should jam or flat and jam river. So far I've like flatted every time and tried to shove oop on river but they just fold everytime.

I answered while I didn't see vlseph. But I think you're really correct. And it feels like they'll call alot more on the tunr too, aswell, as sometimes get scared of big rivers. Thanks for the input, guys.

basically if they fold to your shove here, it's not likely you would get more money on the river anyway.

That's a good point, Zulu. Good to get more reasons as to shoving instead of flating. I should really use this forum more!

To me flat here seems pretty strong, might aswell just shove now and hope the fish bites.

So many fish but so little time to go fishing!

wtf thats not true at all. if hes a complete aggro monkey, you flat here and check/shove the river. you get more money when he bluffs the river. if he has a hand then the money will go in on the river anyway, so you dont have to worry about losing value from made hands, but you get more money from bluffs.

This... btw, I am not sure about the river play. I think to induce a check can be good a lot but given certain aggromonkeys, they spazz out WAYY harder when you make this really small gay donkbet on river thinking you are weak and gogogo insta-shove. I guess river play is also dependant on the card because believe it or not, some aggromonkeys do use their brains and like if an A-Q drops he will probably bluff more frequently and harder thinking you peeled with some random 6x or 77-88 or whatever and try and get you off where as he is less likely to bluff a 3 river.

Anyways, I like flatting here, if you'd have more of a stack to trying and getting it a minraise sounds good because some people go apeshit when you do that.

How does everyone want to shove here ?? It's insanely hard to flop a hand and since he likes to bluff his bluffing range his probably bloated an incredible amount here. By shoving you completely take away his ability to do so. It sucks you are OOP and so it's harder to extract value but that's life, you might get rivered checked through, he might fold, he might flat if you decide to make a gaybet but shoving turn sure as hell isn't going to have him bluff anymore...

I think flat + small bet on river is a better line than flat + check. Small bet seems defensive like you are scared of the raise whereas check looks like a trap with the nuts.

you have to consider his entire range, which has a ton of air. hes bluffing here a huge % of the time.

how often does a 64/48 have a made hand here compared to a bluff?

I call and donk small river.

His range consist of too much air here not to try to get value from it (and he is very likely to raise the river with anything pretty much)

93% Sure!

I'm flatting here and probably check raising river...I'm sure if he's that aggressive he'll fire on rive.r..

You see...whenever I start feeling sick...I just stop being sick...and be awesome instead...true story...
