at the same time my turn line seems like a gross overplay

yea I don't like turn either, seems really too fancy. I'd rather just bet turn. I think river is really thin, but i guess the villain sucks considering what he showed up with. Vs a regular i don't think river is a valuebet that gets called by worse >50% of the time - it's too easy for you to have boats, so this is really a big merge.
