Im not sure why everyone is hating so hard here. Yes, its kind of a stupid since he sounds like a guy trying to start a ponzi scheme, but running it up to 150k at some point is pretty crazy.

why do you come to me? why do i deserve this generosity?

hello ladies and gentlemen i am interested investing money for you. my qualifications are i have an insatiable urge to gamble on the side and i've lost a quarter million dollars

oh yeah please donate to the poor landlord. i'll do this high-risk thing, but oh i promise i can do it low-risk also, and i'll like, give you back 10% more than you lent me after 2 weeks. just be there whenever i need money bro. suuuure. yeah what happens when you go bust? we have to wait for your wageslave tenants who actually contribute to society to work and pay back the principal? or we take all the risk and you take the 1000% profit when you run hot? hey i found this pump and dump trade where i can triple up and you can make 10% of your investment. oh fuck it didn't work we lost everything, you lost your investment and i lost my chance at tripling up on someone else's dime

it sounds like you've never actually been broke because any normal person would have stoplossed at 100k and reevaluated what's going on. most cliche story of a degenerate there is. my friend was options addicted for 7 years. always the exact same fucking story. santafairy i made a bunch of money. oh that? no i lost everything. but i finally figured out what i did wrong this time.

"manage their money for a cut with different risk profiles?"
no shit
you want to do this as a career? mr. basement hedgefund? no shit you're taking a cut
hey guys i lost a bunch of my own money and now looking to expand my horizons so i want to experience losing other people's money for a while instead

nothing here to suggest you can handle someone else's money any more responsibly than your own

Poll: reading this thread, would you rather
(Vote): stake neilly
(Vote): invest in nitewin

why would you actually post this except as some out-of-touch degenerate narcissist's brag. you ran up a bunch of profit and now it's gone. okay congratulations. i fucked a model, now she's gone too. big fucking deal that's life. your quarter million is gone, the amount of out of touch asshole it takes to post this, you could have done anything you wanted with that security. again sounds like you've never been broke. reading this is 0% sympathy and 0% interest in handouts

if you know what you're doing then do it again instead of begging the internet. must be doubting that you can get that lucky again or something. most transparent degenerate bullshit

no offense to the financial sector or other people who actually manage their own money.

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen

It's sad that most of the LP regulars either went busto, retired, or a combination of the two.

What's even more sad is, we have some busto people who remain at LP and are still unable to make the transition from busto poker player to finding a better way to earn money.

If Nazgul and Meat knew what this website would turn into, I wonder if they would've done things differently.

Ok let's be clear. I ain't asking for money. When I got margin called, I called all my buddies for money and they said no. They liquidated all my positions and the thought of asking here didn't even cross my mind. Now I posted some degen shit here because I thought you degens would understand what I'm going through and can appreciate it.

Now I don't have my life together but that's the next step for me. I used to be a nit with money risk wise. Now I'm upping stakes betting my whole roll every chance I get while living very frugally. My wins don't translate to life improvement for me and I'm going to figure out why. Thanks for reading my blog.

Stay safe and Have a great Thanksgiving weekend y'all.

Seems to me like most LP regulars got a good chunk of money from poker and moved onto another venture e.g. opening businesses, going into steady (non-high variance) jobs etc. which only makes sense since most of the people here were extremely young when joining the community and now are in their close to 30s- mid 30s

having a steady job is depressing as fuck.
"good chunk of money" --> unless you are the top 0.1%+ of Liquidpoker its probably not enough money for it to not be depressing
