I know, there was a similar thread several weeks/months ago, but the only responses were saying how little +EV can be found in blackjack. Never-the-less, im very interested in learning to play well, if not for the monies, then just for my own enjoyment.
Any serious recommendations?

what a stupid post

the game is played perfectly in 1 exact way. there are 5000 books that teach u that. they're all exactly the same. try using google.com

there are other books that teach u card counting systems, which is what you did not ask. again, google.com magic.

there's no fucking way someone posted that thread u refer to. if they did plz post it so i can berate them too and hopefully they wont pull the trigger on their idea either

anyone who has to come on a forum and ask how to get into something like this is either going to be a loser at it or is going to banned from w/e casino ur at for obv card counting. if its really for fun then just read some online guides on how to play perfectly and u'll only be a 2% dog or whatever the house edge is.

Idk about the notion of very little EV. Takes almost no effort to learn, and even doing the rounds getting flat bet at every las vegas casino is worth at least 100k if you go like 500 min bet to 5k on double deck with good rules in high stakes areas you will print 500-1k per hour depending on how many players at the table, how fast you play, etc. Even getting barred after 10 hours of play at each property you'll scoop 100k EV plus comps. Rough numbers but yeah, can't really say it's not worth learning. Also if you give up some edge you can last longer and print even more in comps. Even better if you know some degens you can just hang out with them and back count waiting for it to get good and tell them to add more under their bet for you. Just don't act like a nerd and you'll be lower on the radar too. Plenty of good reasons to learn imo.

And to the OP. Google hi low counting. That's all you need and it's really simple.

I guess I forgot about this side of it and you're absolutely right but that's specifically for a poker player living in Vegas.
