Is HEM2 better... or PT4? I've used HEM1 forever as a casual player. Is the lag time that bad that you'd need an SSD? They are going to be on cloud soon which is supposed to eliminate all those problems, or so they claim in their little adverts on the website.

rofl im not buying HEM2. fucking faggots.
Yep, lol, that's pretty much what I said to them as well. They offered me a "40%" discount which was in actual fact a $25.00 discount off a $150.00 purchase price. They referred to this as a generous offer. As if I'd want to pay for software that is 3+ years old which they will probably "stop supporting" when HEM Cloud is released.
I e-mailed PT4 to ask what they could do, they pointed me to pokerstrategy.com. Register as a member for free and get 10% off the PT4 price. So the generous offer HEM was offering was the equivalent of a standing PTR offer that anyone can get at any time. Except that I can get that same offer on a newer and arguably better product.
That is some piss poor HEM management, oh well, their loss. It's at this point I'm really hoping both software companies aren't owned by the same people lol.

I kinda mostly, used PT4 since it sounds like playstation 4, and i think id pick that console over xbox if i played games like that!
I think I'm going to start calling my brothers puppy Marius. As a nickname. You're something special.
You guys are all up in arms about this? Yet no one flinched when Tableninja gouged the shit outta everyone. I paid for two 'lifelong licenses for updates' (they had already lied) before it went monthly based. And now I'm paying for that. 3x, nice deal for a lifelong license (and fuck you newb with your faggotry about wahhhh, they must support themselves). A deal is a deal.
I'm quite certain all that happened is that the HEM team saw the lack of solidarity between poker players with regard to getting fucking gouged with TN2, and decided to make a few more benjies.

will we have to pay again for HEM CLoud or witll it come as an add on to HEM2, since im not buying HEM2 if im gonna have to pay for Cloud in a 2-3 months again
HEM2 support has left some boss network players to rot for 7+ months with no update.. never using them again.
if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN
I can get why they're stopping support for HM1, with it being so old.
But it's pretty shitty IMO how this is the last month for you to be able to upgrade to HM2 at a discount as an HM1 user as well, which is almost forcing you to upgrade NOW even if HM1 will still have functionality for a while.

i think how pt4 works, and flows as you play is better, and the layout. but as, how to use the stats, the numbers, info you can get out of the software, HEM2 seems to have a lot more, and its all better n stuff.
there's this small annoying things in PT4 like
- can't export w/stats easily to LP
- you don't see HHs everywhere, in HEM1 in all stats reports there's a window with hands histories all you have to do it click PT4 is so bad in this reports etc.
- on the table it doesn't show pot size in last 5 hands so when I want to get reads retrospectively I have to click on every single icon on each table, look for big pot click again
- stats in popups show instanced even when there's 0 sample. HEM stops showing instances without hovering with large samples too it just gets annoying
- stats are weird, named arbitrarily (probe bet wtf) and many are missing - need to spend even more time on setting up the ones I want
They just drove me crazy really but I guess I need to spend hours trying to get used to them or finding workarounds... or I guess buy SSD get used to HEM2 change everything all over again another time wasted.
+ i asked ppl i know on skype that play poker, one of them said I was a "faggot" if i didn't use hem2 (and I thought to myself, lol, i don't want to be that).

which is lighter as a software pt4 or HEM2? seems like HEM2 will suck hard for me without a SSD, althought i got a quadcore with ddr3s and etc etc lol
its not about SSD but HEM2 does require about 2GB in ram per 500k hands in your database to run smoothly
Stopped using both software, since they both wouldn't support the french poker's sites. I guess that was another reason why I stopped playing online. Now can they support it ?
I remember I had a really hard time to configure the HHs history for PT1 or 2 and I'm not sure if I'd ever want to use it again >_<
Shin-il : Yeah it was very very very good for me too. Rekrul : YOU MOTHER FUCKING FUCKING SON OF A BITCH

PT4 definitely needs less resources from your computer.
