<img src="http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Pindarots/09/rushpoker.JPG" align="right" style="margin:5px; border:0px solid black;">Got tired of waiting to make an inevitable fold with 7-2 off-suit? It looks like it's not longer necessary, with the introduction of Rush Poker. Full Tilt Poker introduces this new poker format that looks like multi-tabling on a single table. A ground-breaking improvement that vastly speeds up the pace of the game. It minimizes the waiting time between hands and provides action all the time.

So how does it work? Whenever you join a Rush Poker game, you join a pool of players spread over multiple tables. After 3 seconds you get to play your first hand (coming in as big blind) and every time you fold (using the Quick Fold-button) you will be immediately taken to the next table, where you'll see different opponents and a different hand, even if people still had to act in front of your original hand. This way you are dealt up to 4 times as many hands compared to a normal table.

So why would you play Rush Poker? Of course it's a lot faster, and makes sure you don't have a great lot of tables stacked on your screen. However, it also makes it hard to create a table image (which can be both positive and negative), and it's much harder to pick up tells and identify your opponents (since you're taken to a next table whenever you fold).

So what do you think? A great improvement or will you just stick to multi-tabling?

hmm interesting

so basically everytime you fold that table closes and a new one opens up and you have a new hand with new villains, hard to establish reads/metagame/images.

Im curious as to how your stack works. If i double up on a hand and then move to a new table do i have my doubled stack or a fresh one?

I do like the fact that Preflop if no player has raised in front of you then your time bank is shortened.

You keep your doubled stack on the next table, but you can also leave and rejoin with the same amount as your initial stack whenever you like

you can actually multi table this too.

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

I've been able to make 3 buyins within 45 min of playing this, very fishy at the moment, people think top pair any kicker is pretty much the nuts, and raise raise raise. and it's not uncommon to find a player with 5-6x their intial buy-in just to donk it off with TP.

I'm mostly curious as to how rakeback gets calculated as HUD's don't work.

Say this outloud! Why was six afraid of seven?......Because Seven Eight Nine

took a total of 15 minutes to lose 2 bi's

my KK vs AA preflop and AK flisp vs JJ preflop and loses.

Now i know why i left 6m and FR :d
(well actually my bad luck exists in HU too :[ )

NewbSaibot   United States. Jan 19 2010 23:52. Posts 4952

it is still FTP afterall

MadJukes   United States. Jan 20 2010 02:55. Posts 372

Dropped 6 BI really fast, almost all to setminers when I hit top 2.. Its detrimental I believe...fish play a lot of hands because they don't see that many hands. Now they can just keep clicking "NEXT. NEXT. NEXT"

Back to pokerstars for me...

ShaperofDreams   Canada. Jan 20 2010 09:34. Posts 438

right when i wanted to quit too...

LP SHOULD MAKE A STRAT GUIDE to this new game: so that LPers can RAPE easily for the first few months

seems like an opportunity for easy money to me, and at my limits reads/image doesnt really matter as its chart play so weeeeee

ShaperofDreams   Canada. Jan 20 2010 09:35. Posts 438

noone does. finally a perpetuum mobile

Can somebody provide more detail here as to how this operates rather than 'its great, I'm up 4 BI's'. I don't play on FTP and I can't get onto FTP site from work to check the details.

The immediate query is how big can the 'pools of players spread over multiple tables' be? Hundreds - who ever wants to play 'rush' at that time? Will this not kill the action at the normal tables? So no reads on anyone ever - just play random hands against random opponents?

Man - this seems to suck for players that can actually indentify a fish and wait it out to bust them.
