Kiryl Radzivonau has been proclaimed champion of the PokerStars Festival Sochi High Roller after beating a field of 96 entries which has led him to win a first prize valued at RUB 3,000,000.

Radzivonau is a player we can see often participating in the best and most important tournaments in the world. During his career, he has reached notable results in many different countries such as the USA, Cyprus, Macau, Malta, Germany or Russia as this is the case, but for sure, if there is a place he will not forget it is Spain, more concretely Barcelona, where he reached the best result so far in his career, thanks to the 6th position he reached in the European Poker Tour 11(EPT11) Main Event in 2014 valued at €224,500.

After this victory in the PokerStars Festival Sochi High Roller, Radzivonau is ready to break the $2 million mark in live tournament winnings. He is sixth in the “All Time Money List” of Belarus, after players such as Nikita Bodyakovsky and Ihar Soika.

Radzivonau has also a lot of remarkable results in online tournaments on PokerStars. Back in the summer of 2012 he reached something every single poker player would like to reach. He won the Sunday Million on PokerStars after beating 5,776 players to win a first prize valued at $166,073, the first six-figure result in his online career to date.

Now, Radzivonau adds an important trophy to his personal record after a definitive Day 2 where 26 players were looking for that title, including Team PokerStars Pro Igor Kurganov and Liv Boeree who unfortunately didn't reach the money.

Kiryl Radzivonau defeated Russian player Oleg Lipkin in a heads-up that didn’t take long to solve as Radzivonau arrived with an important advantage against Lipkin. The first time he moved all his chip in, Radzivonau quickly called with ace-queen, clearly dominating the queen-eight of hearts of Ole Lipkin who didn't hit the board.

PokerStars Festival Sochi High Roller Final Table:
1. Kiryl Radzivonau (Belarus) - RUB 3,000,000
2. Oleg Lipkin (Russia) - RUB 2,091,000
3. Daniil Gavrilov (Russia) - RUB 1,375,000

6. Dmitriy Chop (Russia) - RUB 680,000
7. Yakov Oranskiy (Russia) - RUB 535,000
8. Mikhail Sokolov (Russia) - RUB 410,000

The tournament had a 96-entry field where 26 returned on day 2 in search of a place amongst the 13 winning positions. Radzivonau started Day 2 in fifth position with Oleg Lipkin a few shorter than him.
