Ok so here's my question about hands like this.

Raised and reraised PF, so you are probably against top 8 hands. When you hit, check/call is supposed to make the most money from hands like this that you have beat. It is also supposed to lose the least from hands you don't.

However, in most cases if someone is willing to value bet, you get all your money in anyway. And people are more likely to value bet with thier best holdings. And less likely to value bet with KK or QQ here.

Now in this hand, his tiny bet on the turn clues you in to the fact that you are probably winning (this could be a SP, but AA would have SP the flop, you are only afraid of JJ as a possibility here).

But what if he value bets 50 on the turn, and then gets it all in on the river. You could very well be dead, but with this strategy you have to pay him off right? Is folding the turn a hopeless play if you suspect AA or JJ? Or do you have to pay off? Are people really that likely to continue value betting with KK and QQ to make this profitable? (AQ is a hand you are always going to make money off of in this situation with check/call, but you get killed vs AA and JJ if they chose to bet straightforward with them).

Or is it simply a probability of the hands play: JJ and AA are less likely than KK or QQ because there are less of them live. (can we assume that the Slowplay chances and the chances of KK or QQ betting approximately cancel?) PLUS you make money off of AQ (AJ is unlikely, but not entirely off the board in SH). You have at least 2:1 odds on every decision, and from the hands I just mapped it looks like you are even money or better on hands your opponent bets, so it appears that every decision you make is a money maker.

Am I on the right track?

I think pushing flop is far better than this play, if you do this vs me you'll get donked by me 100%, KK aint guaranteed, if you were sure he did have KK though, then good job.

I would still push flop coz if he has KK it's very likely he wont do anything further on coz you called flop, unless he's a retard and puts you on a flushdraw at this point...

So in short words, if you knew he's a complete retard, good job ! =)
