i would go all in on the flop i wouldnt even wait for the turn - but im 100% crazy.
no one bets the nut flush like this its more likley he has trips/78/2 pair, i would insta push this.

...you really need to bet the flop

you have top pair on a very non-scary board in an unraised pot with a FD, so take it down on the flop. this guy was probably bluffing on the turn, but he also could have been overbetting to look like a bluff. by checking the flop, you allowed him to make this bluff and make you so unsure of your extremely strong hand. if you had bet the flop, you would gain a lot more information from any people with flush draws. then if you met some extreme resistance on the turn when the flush card landed, you could comfortably lay down your underflush and move on.

but you probably would have taken the pot down on the flop. you were way too strong (top pair) and hedged against outdraw (holding two clubs) and in position not to bet there.

well from these examples, you played poorly but I would stick to being tight on these levels, wait for premium cards, occasionally raise with sc from lp so you dont look like a mouse

I will grind you into dust.

i dont think your too chicken but maybe you care about the moeny too much. it seems like your REALLY protecting your money. you are what we call a nut straddler, you are probably making profit but you play really tight and dont take un-nessasary risks with anything that is not the nuts. This style works very well for the first couple of stages of poker but if you intend to move up levels you need to:
1) Get desensatised to the money - dont worry about losing a $50 pot just worry about making the correct play
2) Take a few risks, go all in with the top 2 pair its in fact a +EV play long term so is going all in with flushes regardless of how low they are, you will lose many pots but you will win more than you lose

I know what you are sayin and you are so right I am new and I am indeed a nut straddler!! I call people sometimes on the river even with A high if I smell somethin but this two last occasion was too much for my stomach!! I'll try to keep these in mind from now on.

hey don't feel bad man, nothing to be ashamed of. post as many hands as you can and read the responses you get for all of them. especially try to post during hours like this when most people are actively posting.

everyone started poker sometimes, not many people just know how to play.

just remember to bet the flop with a pair and a flush draw!
