Normally cash game staking will be something along the lines of 50/50 profit share in the long run as far as I am aware.

Here obviously the risk to the staker is much higher because a given live session is only 300 hands maximum.. I think you'd be getting a good deal if you kept a quarter to one third of the profits being that you have 0 risk. Even then the deal probably isn't much better than breakeven for the staker imho.

Why is he staking you for just one night? If he's just trying to get a game going and staking you to get you to come, then consider this a loan and not a stake. You keep 100% of profits, he gets to have a game. If you are begging him for money because you want to play, then he gets 50% profit.

No i def. didnt ask him to stake me. It was some rich dude playin 1/2. He was on my table for like 5 hours, and after he asked me if id like to be staked for up to a 5/10 game. He said he would give me like 2-3 buyins cause he thinks it would be fun to watch me lol

He also bought me dinner after and was asking me buncha question about poker lol

And this would be at a casino, not a home game

you're gonna keep 50% of profits

he gets his stake back as well

Sounds like he wants to bone you
