Worst day ever for me as far as money is concerned. More importantly it was my first session back from my break and it destroyed the confidence I have built up recently...feelings of I was just on a 52k hand heater start to creep into my mind. I played like shit, ran like shit. I need to get myself together. My goal is to make $10k in January which should be easily possible if I can just gather myself.

I don't play at your stakes but, thoughts like "I need to get myself together. My goal is to make $10k in January which should be easily possible if I can just gather myself." really is not going to do your game any justice. Forget about the money and make the correct decision, at each point of a single hand. Make the best possible decision every time and do not fear the consequences.

Poker is so EZ if you approach it as a game with the goal of making the correct plays at all times instead of going emo because of 7 buy ins lost.

Btw on that matter, I lost 4BI in 700 hands yesterday, I got steamed over , totally owned by everyone and didn't win a single hand.
I just quit the session with a disgusting feeling.(my usually positive redline was like a lightning going down from the sky, I felt violated)

I found it somewhat comforting to just sit with my database, see if the coolers were coolers and wrote down all my mistakes.

  28/12/09
-Raised AA utg, flatted a 3bet by a tight player, check/shoved Qsss flop
correct play: re-raise, get it in (value from AK)

-call ATs to a 3bet from a 15/11 3% 3bet player oop
correct play: fold (duh)

-put 40% of my stack with TJo when isoing and got 3bet and folded to a shoveet against a tight player

correct play: fold/4bet much smaller with more reads

-dONK CALLED on a [Ac Ts 7s] with TT when fish was in the hand and a spewy reg re raised

correct play: shove, turn kills our action and the reg will be more likely to call with a fd on the flop

Its like clearing the air, I tapped myself on the back for playing well where I just got unlucky (to boost confidence in my winning plays), and I identified all my mistakes, making the session a positive because it will allow me to avoid them in the future, and its def. something I'd recommend.

i agree with chewitis...guess i worded it badly...what im saying is that if i stop playing like shit (which is what i mean by get myself together) then i should easily be beating my stakes again...just been playing bad

also trying not to fear the consequences works...cept it gets to me when i run over 5 bi below ev ...i lack discipline

Oh cool yesterday was my 2nd worst day ever by only $100 and I played half as many hands as I did on my worst day ever.

Just gotta keep grinding I guess. That's what everyone says.

I use a tracking program that does not have EV lines. EV lines mess with your head.
