had a pretty good session today. lots of player dependent reads. playing fewer tables and keeping an eyeout for the fish was pretty +ev. was able to make some light call downs, felt like i was play some pokah.
anyway just checkin some lines

standard fuuuuuuuuuu spot. i'm wondering if anyone ever talks themselves into a call here. it would be kinda sick if a retarded set played it this way with a cheap stab on river. about 3:1. that implies i only need to be good here 25% of the time righT?

heh....i dunno why i didn't bet the turn...(i sorta remember thinking i didn't want to get check raised and blown off here)...but TT JJ would just check river right?

Hand 1:
At these limits I think he's only going to be value betting the Qh, Kh, and Ah... my thought is that any weaker heart, such as the Jh or 10h is just going to try and get to showdown, so I only see 3 possible hands that he's going to be leading out here and I think a lot of these players will check the Q as well. He's really not representing a very large range of hands and I'll find a lot of the players will make weird bluffs when that fourth heart comes. As far as hands that he would be calling you down with, I think he could very easily have A10 or A9 with the Ah or the Kh. Based on the odds you're being given on the river, I think it's really a 50/50 decision as to calling or folding, raising is pointless as you're not going to be getting any value and you'll just be called if he was value betting. Really depends on reads I guess.
Hand 2:
I don't really mind your lay down here, I find that most of the 100NL and lower players are really just trying to get any sort of hand to showdown. I think you have to put him on the K here or possibly a 9. They do seem to make a lot of random river bluffs for no apparent reason, but I think 90% of the time you're beat here. |
