It's been a while since I last updated. Well, this is how it has gone since the beginning of may.
May
May was a awesome month. It started off, where I had spewed almost half my bankroll of $600 at the end of April so I could secure SilverStar again. So I was down to about $230. I had to change things in May. I took my finals, and I got off academic probation! I played 1c/2c and 2c/5c for about a week or two, then played 5c/10c.

Late May, I went to Turning Stone Resort & Casino with a friend, here's my post from 2+2.
So, I have been getting my friend into poker, and he has been able to beat the microstakes on pokerstars for sometime now, so we decided to give it a shot at a local casino. The closest one was Turning Stone, so we drive 10 hours to Verona / Rome New York.
Apparently New York sucks ass at signs. We were to get off on exit 16A on I-81. Well, unlike every other state, where the exit number is located by what mile they’re at. So instead of mile 16, it’s around mile marker 80 or so. Finally we get to Verona New York. We pass the casino at like 8:30 pm and are like “holy ****, there it is!!!” It’s my second casino to go to 1st was the Monte Carlo in Monaco, and his first casino.
We smoke a few cigarettes, to relax and fall asleep for the grinding the next day.
Day 1) I make $200 at $1/$2 in ~2 hours against super fish, limp/call every hand. 13$ raise from UTG they instasnap with K4s etc… then they play hit or miss poker.
My friend on the other hand had better luck, he ends up making $400. We grab some lunch, smoke a few cigarettes relax and feel good about making a couple hundred in the matter of a few hours. We were living the life. We decided to hit the casino a bit longer, and we both sit at the same table for 200NL and he loses a buy-in and I make another.
We call it quits and go back to Rome New York to get some rest.
Day 2) We both play at the same table, and about 3-4 hours into it I’m up about a buy-in and a half, and my friend is down a buy-in and a half.
Then this hand happens:
Ten players are in the hand. I fold, and start playing with my chips, talking to some kid with a fraternity hat on. Then I hear my friend say, “All-in”.
I’m thinking, god damn it. He’s going busto day 2. I don’t want to stake him! Oh well, hope he wins! Guy in seat 2 snap calls, as does the guy to my left.
Flop: As 2s 7d
2 players are all-in.
Turn: 4s
River: 2h
The guy in seat position 2 shows KQs for the nut flush.
My friend shows 22 for quad 2’s
Guy to his right shows 3s5s for the Straight Flush.
Right before the dealer gives the chips to the guy with the straight flush, the player next to my friend quietly says, “That’s the Bad Beat Jackpot!”
So everyone realizes this and very quietly make sure it is true. The dealer (Joe?) calls “Floor!” and it gets approved and the Bad Beat Jackpot was really there.
It was 90 days since the last day someone hit the Bad Beat Jackpot, so $100,000 was in it.
My Friend got $50,000 for losing with quads.
Guy to his right, my left got $25,000
Everyone else got $3,125.
My friend gave me $5,000 for teaching him poker/money he owed me for food/gas/money I loaned him etc…
So Day 2 ends and I make ~$8,600.
My Friend makes $45,000.
We decide to quit for the day and relax and feel good about ourselves. We after all made an ungodly amount of money in 2 days! So we go back to our hotel room, order some cheap Chinese food, and enjoy the fuck out of the best Chinese food we ever had. For $9 each, it was AMAZING.
Day 3 – 5) We both pretty much breakeven and just relax, and tell the story about how the Bad Beat Jackpot went down like a hundred times.
Overall, we had great trip to Turning Stone. We’ll probably return there later this summer. We drive back to Virginia on Tuesday June 2nd. I’m now using the money I made to get my Private Pilots License as its always been a dream for me to fly planes, and now I have the money to do it (costs ~$6k).
I guess that’s it for now.

June So Far
June has been going pretty well. I had to cash out $300 for my trip to NY and I still have not deposited a single dollar onto online poker, and I intend not to. So, I start the month with $250.

I hope to get a $500 bankroll so I can be rolled for NL25 in a week. Current Bankroll: $378 as I transfered a friend $30 to start messing around online.
