Have been watching Ziig vs Gus today playing PLO 500/1000$...Then some thoughts struck me.How come all highstakes players suddenly have changed to a lot more swingy game than NLHE if they want to make big money? I'm sure these guys would totally crush at a bit lower limits and even there make a great fortune. HOw come they have to play up there and by necessity PLO? Also in the chat today Gus talked about Ziiggy being staked and he was pretty frequent in the chat talking to railbirds. What about the concept that good players don't pay attention to the chat? That factor, at least in my world, points in the direction that the whole of it is just a big commercial set up, like they getting paid per session or hourly to play fun-money up there...It's like 3bet each pf,call, potbet, raise, allin call each and every hand...that's not so frequent on like 25/50 what I've seen...
Anyone got some ideas to straighten my conspiracy thoughts out?

high stakes HU NLHE is prob at least 3-4x more swingy than high stakes HU PLO, since 3-betting OOP in pLO is suicide whereas doing it in NLHE is not bad since no1 ever has anything |

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same | |

Aah ty for enlighten me...Im a lousy NL20 hobbyplayer that thought Omaha was more swingy, but still thinks it pretty weird that they treat it like play money sometimes! How do u think a stake-deal at that level works? |

Also, stop thinking that everything you see on a site is rigged :D
It was interesting with Gus chatting it up tough. I wonder if he feels like he gets an advantage by doing it, or if he is just bored/feeling like he wants to be childish.
+the big finale. They like to gamble :o |

zig is a plo specialist so not suprising hes playing. Gus is a fish and he prefers plo because hes a degenerate. The fish dictates what games will be played and alot of people have made the transition to plo at all stakes because people are so bad at it. |

I like it when someone posts a HH about getting it allin with TPTK on the flop and I think to myself "yeah ok I would probably do the same" and then tom says "nice betting, keep doing this and you will work your way up the limits in no time" and I just go "awwwww fuck"... |
