NL10 stint

So the previous blog entry + the next day ended up being a -7bi doomswitch sequence, cooler and suck out city. In addition I felt that something about my play wasn't quite right, though I couldn't really pinpoint it. I decided it was time to move down for a few days and evaluate my game.

So I've spent today and yesterday at NL10, working on my game 6 tabling. I think I became a bit braindead 8 tabling NL25, so I plan on sticking with 6 tables for the foreseeable future.

Adjusting my PF range a bit, as well as bet sizing based on position. Postflop, I'm really trying to talk to myself about what hands I can fold out with my bet, what hands stay in, what hands can be making a bet against me, how does my hand do against his range, etc. I still suck with ranges but I'm doing my best I guess . It's still rudimentary like on a A84 board or w/e, I'll be thinking "air, Ax, mid pps... how much of the range do I beat, how likely are each, etc". Trying esp hard to not make bets that fold out everything but hands I dont beat.

So over 3k hands at NL10, I'm somehow doing well despite feeling like I'm getting coolered / sucked out around every corner. I guess that redline is indicative of making decent bets postflop based on the thought process I described above. It's obviously the basic thoughtprocess of TAG poker, but I'm convinced I have major major major holes in that line of thinking as is.

Last pot of the day.

gl yo. I'm still a firm believer that 4 tables is optimal in terms of learning, but at NL10 it's not especially difficult to get reads.
