OMG I cried

I had a church choir practice earlier tonight. I'm leaving Canada for good Sat Feb 23rd which means this weekend will be the last time I meet this group of people.

So at the end we gathered around, and as someone was saying the closing prayer all of a sudden I found teardrops rolling down my cheeks!?

This is the first time I cried for a non-girlfriend-related incident in like, what, 15 years? I couldn't believe I did this.

Before people open their eyes I turned away and headed for the bathroom. I hope no one saw it.

Seriously, these people have been genuinely nice to me, I feel grateful to them, and obviously I'll miss them.

Onto something less depressing:

I'll be in HK for 2 years at least, maybe much longer if I can find a good job there. But I still like Canada way better, and I really hope to return here down the road.

Tithing? LOL I don't think they would take my "dirty money".

LOL I know religion and gambling don't mix well but I've been going with my girlfriend and taking part in activities for years, and even after my GF left town 1/2 year ago I'm continuing with my commitments.

Strictly speaking gambling online in HK is illegal, but technically so are a lot of other kind of online and real-life gambling activities that are so commonplace e.g. mahjong. I was in HK the past summer and had no problems logging into PS and playing. Maybe if you play every day the ISP would detect and warn you, but let's not worry about problems until they arise.
