This story is basically right off the Dateline NBC special "How to catch an ID thief" with Chris Hanson that I watched not too long ago. Nigeria is a hotbed for identify theft. I hope you're joking.

Here's a link to Chris Hanson talking to a guy that operates under the same "Barrister" title as the guy in your email. He's probably the same Nigerian that's scamming you.

Again, I hope this is a complete joke.
