So after tilting really hard 3 months ago and losing all the BR I had garnered from previous posts, I'm back to basics on Pstars with 210 in BR playing nl10.

*sigh* i tilted my first two 50 dollar buys, but i'm back to 200 so i'm currently running a profit of 8 dollars.

I gotta stop playing Razz and SnGs and focus on the cash game. I don't seem to be winning SnGs and Razz as much as i think i am...

i got into a really good heater today, up like ~7-8 BIs for 3k hands or so, so I'm running pretty well today. hopefully tommorow is equally good.

Was about to quit and was closing down tables, and hit 3 hands where I lost 4 buyins right in a row. They were spewy hands too. Wtf. Then I check my graph and see that I was up 3 buyins before those hands. Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttt.

I'm very unhappy with myself right now.

so i thought id start out my first blog post as a complaint because i need to get it off my chest. I began this session well(well towards the mid point) and well, FTP decided to flick the doomswitch on me while i was just about to get off(wanted 4 more fpp for a $20 bonuss) but... well i wasnt gonna get there without a fight.
Lost 3 flips for full stacks and a KK vs AA A river for 4 bi's in like 300 hands. Not sure how much longer these ridiculous swings will last.

on another note, at least i am slowly climbing and around half way to nl100.

I started the day studying for my chem final and I got like a 23/34 points on it, translating to a 73 average for the class. I was sweating the ride home about how I'd have a C and it'd fuck my GPA beyond belief since I'm going to get a C in Bio, too.
Found out 73 is curved to B- yayyy

Then I got bored and started short stacking NL200. I've been doing 4-6 NL100 tables with the rest adding up to 8 in NL200 tables. I started with my roll at around like $1800-1850, and I'm just now finishing with $2300 in the bank. Never had a day like this before.

The notable hand was me starting on this one table...
First hand, I wake up with KK and ship it against AQ on a Q high flop and double up to $80.
Next hand, I see a raise, 3b, and I wake up with KK AGAIN (this is right after the first hand) so I 4b ship this. Original raiser flats and so does 3 bettor so I get scared naturally of Aces or something. Some raggedy flop comes and both villains ship QQ and TT and I flip out cause I'm still having the best hand and I need to dodge 4 outs total to win this sick pot. I closed my eyes and my kings hold up, netting me about $237, and like $200~ side pot for QQ dude.
Next hand again, I see KK and I just laugh to myself. I open for 3xBB and it gets folded around and I just tell everyone I got it three times in a row and that's just crazy, all on same table.

So that brought me to $2k~ and I took a break, ate dinner, and grinded another $200-300

Got a $5k freeroll on Cake tomorrow 5 gold chip R&A (I have 61, they are basically FPPs converted into tokens), and another $5k RTR freeroll on Sunday. Got only ONE week of school left, one blow off easy class exam on Tuesday and Biology final on Friday which I still need to study for. SHIP ME NON FAILING GRADE PLEASE!!!


p.s. never expected short stacking to be this profitable, was doing it just to clear my bonus! Which is sitting at about $20 pending... almost done!!! Maybe I am addicted to short stacking from today now hehe, but I really miss playing a lot more post flop interesting situations that require me to think a lot more.

Just one of those days where you can't win, no matter how hard you try. I'll admit 1 or 2 buyins was pure spew but my "moves" weren't clicking at all and people were hitting/making hands.

Its actually -350 and not 250 according to my cashier -_-

Man all of December is in the red so far. My bankroll and I are backed up against the wall, can't handle much more of this.

Today session was horrible I kept getting beat like a little girl every fricking time, TPTKs were being shot down by sets overpairs were loosing to all sort of crap, this is a rant post so if you don't wanna see +QQ stop reading now.

At least I didn't tilt and kept playing a good game wich is good since I don't have a high tolerance for crap and tilted way easier before, lost a few BIs but my dignity is intact for now, maybe I'll play more later gonna relax and watch MadMen, Dexter and SCC. (Great Shows btw)

I should update this more, but pokers been quiet rly and I never think of sharing irl stuff, anyway.....

Start of November I was playing NL100 and was up about $1k for the first week, then lost all but $250 of that back and decided to take a break and withdrew all but $50. Didnt play much until about a week ago when i entered a $3 rebuy just for the lulz and ended up cashing for like $100, so played NL10 and wow these limits are so easy compared to when I used to play it 9 months ago or whatever, I imagine ill be back playing NL100 in a few weeks.

Finish this semester of uni next weekend, christmas will be nice I hope, looking forward to going back to live with my family for a few weeks, but going to have to study as i got some exams jan 20th onwards :/ I can do well if I manage to motivate myself to study.

Also getting slowly better at starcraft :D got into the iG (Infernal Gamers) clan which is quite cool as when I started out a couple of years ago as a wee newblet, it was a clan I specifically picked out that I would like to join one day also had a few showmatches on gosugamers.net which I luckboxed.

I'll post a graph at end of December probably, for now nothing exciting just crushing NL10 :D

Lots of set ups. Keep having to fold good hands to obviously better ones (or I've become everyones favorite person to bluff, but I doubt that). Luckily I'm at least breaking even. Well, not totally. Yesterday I quickly lost 5 BI when I sat down for a 200 hand session. It was insane. Today I lost 4 BI and was about to take a break and say "fuck it's a downswing, might as well move down a limit for a bit" and then had a card rush which I played aggressively and won the 4 BI back to break even.

Hopefully this weekend treats me well. I'm sitting on 3.5k right now. So if this weekend goes well I will be able to rebuild to 4k. I'm planning to be very conservative on NL200 shots and try to keep building my BR past 4k. If I hit 6k I will definitely do a full out 10 BI shot though. Otherwise I'll just keep doing NL100 and if I see juicy tables @ NL200 and I have over 4k I will give it a go.

I am still hoping to get into NL200 by the end of the month and I think the holiday season might put out enough fish to allow me to do it. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Otherwise I want to at least play a lot of hands @ NL100 so that I can make progress towards another bonus. I am gonna save till 100k fpp and buy the $1,500 bonus. If I have to do it all via NL100 I won't clear it till the end of January, maybe a bit earlier. If I get up to NL200 then I should clear it early Jan. So we'll see how that goes =)

Anyway might as well post a graph of the last few days. So here's everything since Monday:

1. Just because you know how to exploit a horrid regular you won't make money of him unless you actually stick to your game plan.

2. There are definitely some retards that manage to be winning players at mid stakes. Poker is not even close to dying.

3. I hate it when I don't play my A-game. The only thing that gets me more tilted is when someone I can't take any decent money off (we're in a micro stakes home game/he's not playing/whatever) says something that really shows that he didn't get any part of a hand, thought process or strategy at all. If I'm already annoyed when I hear this I won't be able to play good for like an hour.

4. Any thought process involving "he'll for sure have figured this out by now!" or "he can't possibly be that fucking stupid" involving passive regulars are bound to lose me money.

Yesterday I had a bad session and tilted my ass off (again) not much damage like 3-4 BIs nevertheless it sucks to loose the sweaty grind money and I need to work on my self-control ASAP.

Today I started by spewing money in low buy-in MTTs and got deep in 2 out of 6 didn't get a significant amount in any of them but it's cool I find MTTs a lot of fun and much less mind consuming then 8 tabling micro stakes, after I was done with that i went back to grind and had a good session, so I'm half the way to NL25 sitting on 350$ and I think it's only a matter of time till I get the 20BIs for NL25.

I like the way I'm playing now, I'm pulling a lot of moves on the NL10 regulars just based on stats and I think this will be an important part in NL25.
