Although My success was marginal (-,-), It was a worthwhile experience. After getting Tracker, i have realised massive leaks in my game.
I chose to play NL2 for and play a couple K hands. I fogured that the best for me is $2 buyin, and I play 3 tables at start and 6 at the end of the session. Here is what I found out from my analysis:
Number of tables
I have very bad negative fluctuation during first 10 minutes on my first session of the day. That is why I will from now on start on 2 tables and open more only after I am warmed up.
As for table setup, I tried cascade, but came back to spread of small windows up to 6. I see all the action, I can chat with others and my gf is not bored with my frenetical swapping of tables when she is watching.
Post Flop Play
All my winnings were wiped out WHILE PLAYING PAIR. One pair play cost me almost every single winning I gained with all better combinations. *sigh*.
I have to seriously rethink my strategy on high pairs especially and stop being overconfident with them. Guess its a typical fish problem that I had to face.
Other thing is pairs smaller than 10. I was calling with them way too often and they were the second most leaky part of my game. Now I will fold early position and max call smallest raise with 99 and below.
Tilting
Massive fluctuations in my play in line with bad mood are a huge problem. I am not able to play poker all day, as at the end I fall into a rot. I need excercise, beer here and there etc. I decided to run half marathon in 2 months and the training regime should be enough to keep me relaxed while playing poker.
University starts on thursday, but it is only 2 days out of five, so I should be able to invest a lot of time into poker. See you at the tables ;o

Hi, I just wrote up a long post that didn't go through but basically, been successfully playing SNG's and tournaments for a while, and decided to switch to cash. I put in my first session and tried to upload my stats but LP says the IMG is too big. Any pointers on how to post the image? I'd really like to post it so you guys can give me any pointers on my stats you may have. Thanks
I just finished a really sick session, I was playing poorly for the most part (eyes were burning ever since i woke up, mind wasn't too calm, and i was playing too aggressive this morning as well)
Today was hard for me, part of me wants to be playing in the sundays, but I know its way -ev if I do so with my roll, and I want to save my fpp's for gntd cash instead of "chances" at big cash, I mean shit, soon it will only be 1-2 buy-ins to play in these and I can do so every week, until then I'll wait
I might play the $11 200k gntd, but theres 30k ppl in it weekly, so I'm prob just going to take the rest of the day off and get a good nights rest to play fresh tomorrow. (1/30,000 chance is a waste of my sunday if im not playing cash, don't you agree?)
meh fuck donkaments, for the last year ive been all jazzed every sunday for tournaments, time to let them go completely for a long time, they are the devil, the lead to greed which leads to degeneracy which leads to the dark side, i'll say it again!
Taking the rest of the night off to clear my head and get more centered.
Finally back on Stars!by ConquistadoR, February 08
So im finally back on Stars, feeling like home.... ... FTP software and all was really tilting me.
Transfered 250$, so I left me some $ on FTP.
I decided to start 15 tabling grinding 001c/002c to get used to the software again after my long absence, and just to gain a bit confidence and build the roll. Im gonna stay here for a bit, probably until my roll is at least like 400$. Then my plan is to slowly move up levels, and I'll never play underrolled again. It's so awesome to pay barely ANY rake at all, and just grind, as the level of competition is a joke.
Here's my graph from yesterday + today of playing.
So I made around 1.5 buyins at 10PLO today and did pretty good at 25nl. I got on some aggro loose tables and had to adjust my 3bets since they were getting multiple callers. I misplayed one hand pretty bad and had to fold as a result but I know what I did wrong and dont plan on repeating it in the future. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/627640
Thats the hand I jacked up.. shoulda been betting bigger on flop and turn but I had been barrelling a lot with similar sized bets and for whatever reason decided to play the hand the same way. I bet half pot on river and got raised 3x and didnt think he was capable of raising worse but I was clearly wrong as he said he had QJ. This is just a good example of why it sucks ass being out of position. Other than that I think I played really well.
Anyways here is an updated graph.
Bushfires, casinocasino and moving!by Ftrunkz, February 08
wow... exciting day.
First of all, i put casinocasino in the topic in the hope that he'll read it, to apologize for yesterday. Sorry for the hit and run and just generally acting like a tool. I appologize . (read previous blog post for more on that)
Second, There's bush fires all around my house! I live in central victoria, australia, and we had to evacuate my mates house who i was at yesterday playing poker because the bush fire was heading towards us, LOL! We left in such a hurry i forgot my shoes and shirt and was wearing board shorts for the rest of the day :D. His house ended up being okay, however a friend who came over later in the day, had a bikini on, and that was her only remaining possession, her house completely burnt down along with everything in it... Ouch.
Lastly i figure I'll talk about getting ready to move, I'm moving into an apartment with my sister in eureka tower!
brag - tallest building in southern hemisphere
brag - 1 tram ride from uni
brag - 1 minute walk from crown casino.
However this doesnt come without my fair share of beats...
beat - my sister is CRAZY
beat - most of my friends are staying in bendigo
beat - my GF is staying in bendigo....
beat - Obviously all the normal moving out stuff, have to do my own laundry, cook for myself, etc. etc.
As for uni itself, i'm doing a bach. of science at melb uni, planning to major in physics at this stage.
As for poker, im grinding NL50HU and FR atm, im a bit underolled for NL50hu (30 BIs), but at this stage, i'm mostly playing poker as a hobby, and not at all as a source of income, so i figure it's not too bad, plus, i can feel my post flop play improving RIDICULOUS amounts from playing heads up.
So I am going to believe that my bad downswing is over and I'm back on track to making money. Still down money for the month, but I'm definitely not far away from getting it back.
since I dropped down to NL10, I transfered a friend $25 to get started at the 1c/2c games, and I sweated him a session, and made he made $10 with me helping him. I started the day after the transfer, with a bankroll of $365. So I played 6 tables of NL10 for about 3k hands and made a $60 profit. Can't complain, a 6 Buy-In day is never a bad thing. I'll hope to get back to NL25 by Tuesday, and turn this month into a great month.
Also, I cleared 1500 VPP for the month today with 1509, so I am going to be silverstar for one more month. yay poker! Hopefully if all goes well, I can achieve goldstar by the end of the month. I was on track for platinum at the beginning of the month, but since I had to move down to NL10 it will have to be put on hold until March.
Sadly, I can't post a graph of todays session, as my laptop overheated and automatically turned off, and now it can't connect to verify that I've registered it. Oh well, so I'll post some nice pictures instead.
