after quitting for like 2 weeks, i've decided to return to poker (after i get a internship i will mass play poker).
so i found my BR at 160 + 11 T$. I grinded nl10 for 1000 hands, ran well at 25ptbb/100 and earned like 75.
played a few hands of nl25, ran decent, got another 40
played some more razz, + 40
1 heads up sng + 10
so i've doubled my BR and i'm close to a point where i'll start grinding nl25 again. ajaja fighting!
Ok so I have an IRL friend who plays poker and he started the day out with a 220$ roll and then went on to win a 4$ 180 man tourney and basically double that. He then played a 6 table session of 25nl and got stacked like 2 times. Then he went on tilt playing 5/10 and 10/20 fixed limit was down to his last 80$ then bluffed someone with T4 off and ended running it up to 700+. Then he started talking trash and challenged me to heads up 50nl. So I sat down and told him to search me. He did and I took 3 buyins off him. Then he told me its all my fault and that he was going to go busto and how im not a real friend. He went to 10/20 fixed and busted his account. Should I feel bad about this? I mean if he had beat me he would have talked mad shit and never let me live it down.. and probably never offered me a rematch. I talked to some other people and they think it was bad manner to play a friend for significant stakes HU when they are on tilt. What do u think? I mean tough love right? (he wont answer phone or respond to ims so I think he is really mad)

I got it for $999.99, and so far I've gotten the impression that I got a pretty good deal. One thing I'm concerned about is the Internal graphics card; does this mean it's difficult to upgrade it? Is it much worse than external graphics cards?
Also, I still have my old hard drive from my broken computer. I'd like to salvage some files from it if possible (assuming it's not corrupted). My roomie told me I need some sort of encasing mechanism to use it as an external hard drive. Since it has an operating system on it, I don't think I can exactly hook it up via a USB cable and acess it. If anyone has some idea of how to do this, please help.
It's ruining microstakes. Fuckin ppl fill up the tables and act like total nits folding everything when usually half the table limps or calls any raise. Then the milestone hand passes and the seats go empty. WTF they are fuckin me up scarin the fish away! winning way below avg...fuck

playing this up to the end of the month, just to be sure im not just in some super heater, and try to improve some more in some spots i feel i still have to plug leaks. no sweat from my friends so far coz i feel they're too busy atm so im looking forward to further improving as a player this year. good thing if they took away concierge really coz i was getting a good winrate there before lol. now i that i might actually have to rely on winnings for solid months, i guess it's about time to really play good, higher level poker
Two nights ago my desktop computer randomly shut down by itself during the night. I noticed this but didn't bother getting up to check it out (assumed it was a windows update or something). The next day I turned on the computer but there was no monitor display. The keyboard and mouse weren't lit and there was no change for about 5 minutes. I restarted a couple more times and finally got a display, but then my computer just automatically just turned off after a few seconds.
I thought it might be loose cables or something inside the computer so I disconnected the hard drive and all the dvd drives. This solved nothing. I'm guessing either my motherboard is fried or there's something wrong with the power supply. It's also possible that something (either cpu or motherboard) is overheating. I'm no expert and don't really know how to deal with any of these problems.
So I took out my laptop and hooked it up to the monitor I was using with my desktop, and was met with yet another problem. The external monitor would keep blinking every 3 seconds or so, non-stop. I proceeded to update all my drivers and stuff but to no avail. I'm guessing my laptop inverter is broken as well. FML.
If anyone has any ideas about how to fix any of these problems, please let me know. Otherwise I'm probably gonna buy both a new desktop and laptop this weekend. Ran ridiculously good today (even though I had to deal with a stupid 17" screen) so I have it financially covered for the most part.
Sup everyone. I didn't tell anyone this I don't think, but back in mid October - end of November I deposited $500 onto cake poker and came out almost 5x'ing my deposit with bonuses + rake back + winnings. So I took the whole thing out (which was really detrimental to my poker progress but real life happens) to help fund a vehicle for myself. Now I am the proud owner, free and clear, of a nissan sentra GXE. COMMUTOR CaR FUCK YaH!!!!
Life in the 50mph fast lane. Its my first car so now I obv have to learn about maintenance & shit. The interior has a faint smell, as if diesel fuel and tangerines were having a sweaty romp in the McDonald's ball pit.
So last night I went to that craigslist poker game again. It was a $30 bounty tourney, where if you knock a guy out, you get $$$ on the spot. Only now if someone knocks you out, you're worth more. So the more people you knock out the more you're worth.
all this didn't matter anyway though. 10,000 starting stacks. I played up to the 150/300 round. Some new fish which were pretty bad, like NL5 bad, were donking around and making hands. Obv I play lag and get some chips in the beginning, but hovered around 10k because I couldn't connect with some flops.
So suddenly whenever I'm in a hand someone else would pick up hands. I got impatient when I iso raised to 1500 ajs, with 1 caller in sb (game host, solid std player). Flop comes 939. He donks out 3k and I tiltfuckshove over 5k more, he snaps. I exit as 2nd out of the tourney....blah. There goes my week's worth of gas money.
Should be done. my BR = ~2500, but I might wait until I have 30 buyins to start playing nl100. time shall tell.
I'm positive competition is going to be much tougher there. I already played it a bit, and noticed much more aggression, 3betting/4betting preflop going on.
Sadly, my database fucked up, and I had to start a new one yesterday. So I'm unsure how many hands I played. I ran approx. ~4-5 ptbb/100 over whatever sample size (since I had roughly a 1000 bankroll or so i think).
But yes, nl50 is basically a taad bit harder than nl25, but double the money. that = good times. I'm actually slightly nervous about nl100, as I'm unsure as to player tendencies. However, I enjoy putting chips in the middle with good draws when I think opponent has some fold equity (which isn't very profitable at nl50), so we'll see how that goes.
Put in two sessions today, first session was really terrible, so many coolers it was unbelievable, and whenever it wasn't a cooler i was sucked out on.
no worries though, took 10 mins off, got stoned and relaxed, came back and won what i lost +10
I've revamped my 6max guide and its much more solid now imo, although I will still do alot of creative plays as I see them, I've changed around quite a few things (don't really want to post specifics since other NL50 regs can read here)
hrm, so i won my 1st 5400 fpp satellite last night, and now that im platinumstar i've almost made all the fpp back from that, so its like a free +215 :-)
I'm going to continue to play them when im sessioning, forgot to this morning, but plan on doing a couple today
well, my ds seems to be coming to an end, i've made many adjustments at nl50, spotted a few leaks and have toned my game down quite a bit
Going to go watch some TV, maybe some wii and come back to grind later

went ok I guess, but I'm not too happy how I played, keep getting myself in tough situations and making mistakes pf, and that are only some of big leaks I need to fix...
so I returned what I lost in my first shot yesterday and am again above 1k$ so I guess I'll keep playing nl50 until I drop under 900$, which hopefully wont happen.
I'm going eat smtng and then goin out drink, first time aften a month or so, cant wait!

basically i want to copy a layout from a site that have an open code and then be able to write my own news etc etc on it in an easy way since im basically worthless at these things.
So basically just tell me/show me how to copy and get me the layout and post my own things on it so i can upload my own website.
