Last day of the year sucks bigtime
Kapol, Dec 31 2007
Two reasons:
1. I'm fucking sick so I'm not gonna properly celebrate the forthcoming year.
2.

I forgot about all VIP freerolls...
Kapol, Dec 29 2007
...AGAIN!
I have never played in any of them so far... Well, better luck to me next week (there will be no monthly freeroll next week tho).
NL100 so far + some random crap.
Kapol, Dec 26 2007
I began playing NL100 a few days ago and I am very happy with the opposition I found there. The games are definitely easier for me than at NL50. The regulars are less nitty and even though all of them play good pre-flop, most of the regs have easy exploitable leaks in their post-flop game. I'm not going to say what these leaks are ( ), but I changed my betting patterns a bit, so that I could adjust to the game.

As for non-poker related stuff, today I'm dying. I have been drinking yesterday and I drunk too much (as usual), so today is more surviving than living. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be as good as new, which might not happen, because my hangovers are lasting terribly long - at least one whole day, sometimes even two.
My New Year's Eve party plans messed up a bit today, because one of my friends which was supposed to go with me got beaten up at some club and his face is nowhere near looking good. Hopefully he'll recover till Dec 31st and we will go out to drink somewhere.
For the last month I've been training billiards really hard and with every day I'm getting closer to become a 1st League player, playing for our hometown team. It's not gonna be easy to get there, but I'm really happy with the way I improved thus far and if things will go as smoothly as they did in the previous month, then my chances increase significantly.

Thank you, Santa!

Today was a very busy day
Kapol, Dec 20 2007
Actually it was a very busy evening/night/morning. Now it's time to get some sleep...
A little heater:

Finally my luck starts to change .
NL100 will have to wait a little longer

I really don't like to whine, but this is just pure bullshit (I also suck, tbh):

Non-poker-wise, I started to train pool billiard really hard. I had been playing this game for 5 years, stopped playing a year ago and now I'm back and I'm working on my game harder than ever. My goal is to play in the Polish Championships next year (if I stay in Poland after the summer). This is going to be a tough thing to do, but I really hope I can make it.
I look forward to running a bit less cold at poker and finally having a big enough roll to take a shot at NL100 (and hopefully staying there for a long, long time).

Feels good.

HU session
Kapol, Dec 12 2007
After winning 7 buy-ins at NL50 6-max tables today I decided to take a shot and play some NL50 HU. Ended up very well, even though I made a hyper-large spew for 60 bucks at the end.

Trip report
Kapol, Dec 10 2007
Hey there, degenerates!
Yesterday I came back from Sosnowiec from a Polish Poker Tour (PPT) event. It was hell of a weekend, I have to admit. The climate was just stunning, the place where the whole thing was held was very nice, and the prizes there were moderate.
Friday
I was going to play a tournament which was supposed to start at 6PM. I had arrived at Falcon billiards club (where the event took place) at 7:40PM (a bit late ) and I started playing as soon as I appeared there. I was pretty card dead and busted out 36th out of 110 players (AQ vs AA pre-flop). There was one crucial hand where I could've doubled up, but I folded queens pre-flop vs a huge nit who showed, surprisingly, only TT.
Off to the cash games we go. The game was extremely loose and I lost some money, no hands to mention. The guy that I was sleeping with at the hotel lost his biggest pot ever in a $2/$2 cash game this day, because he had misjudged the size of the pot on the turn (he haven't noticed one side pot), hadn't bet properly and, all in all, he lost an over $5000 pot to a runner-runner flush (he hit a set on the turn). Pretty sad.
Saturday
Saturday was the Main Event day. I didn't play it so I played some $0.4/$0.8 Dealer's Choice game (PLO, Hold'em 1 or 2 flops, Crazy Pineapple 1 or 2 flops). Lost 200BB there, including two big pots in Crazy Pineapple 2 flops, where once I had A9dd on flops: J92, 76d4d (lost both to AJ, I haven't improved on either boards) and the second time I had KT on flops: KTQ, KJ2 (lost both to J4(!), guy rivered me with an ace on the first flop and spiked a 4 on the turn on the 2nd).
Sunday
I didn't feel like playing any poker on Sunday, so I just watched the final table of the Main Event and returned home in the evening. I was in my home town at 11:30PM.
Conclusion
I left some money in Sosnowiec, but I don't regret a single penny. I met a bunch of great people and I look forward to visiting the next PPT event in Krakow in late January. I'm definitely going to play the Main Event, because I prefer playing live tourneys to live cash games.
Internet poker
No whining on Internet poker in this blog entry, even though I should .

I rape NL50...
Kapol, Dec 06 2007
...NOT. I like playing 17/14, but I spew really hard lol. Maybe I'll add two tables tomorrow (now I play six).

Tomorrow I'm going to Sosnowiec for a Polish Poker Tour event. I'm going to play a side tourney on Friday and cash tables (1PLN/2PLN, which is about $0.4/$0.8) throughout the whole weekend. Gonna write sth about the trip as soon as I come back.
Cya!
