Lost a lil more than a $1000 in April at le nl 100 6max and some nl 50. Some of it spew, some of it le run bad, same ol' story.
Cashed out entire roll, about 2700, but used to be 3700 . Roll started from 400, playing nl 10 late jan/early feb.
My actuall goal for poker was just to become a succesful midstakes player while having an actuall carrer, hopefully working a steady job and then playing midstakes as a hobby and makin an extra 20-30k a year or something for vacations/investing/etc.
The money was on my GF's account anyways so had to withdraw it all sooner or later. I will probably deposit like 1.2k or something beginning of summer, grind nl 50 to get off the ring rust, and then take another shot at nl100 but more concentrated and slow paced, fewer tables for sure. I usually play too many tables because I get addicted to bum hunting and can't resist opportunity for easy money even if it results in lowering the quality of my overall game, which it most likely does.
See ya guys on Stars/Full Tilt, who knows, a couple months from now. Will still be on LP to give my mediocre low stakes advice/opinions, and of course troll.
lol finally gonna try to start learning ladder. trying 2v2, slowly makin my way up. Keep getting stupid allys who make like 15 workers then stop, or build build build and not do anything, etc etc. fk im getting all the passive lawl players.
here's what march turned out to be for me. fucking faggot nl 50 short stackers, why I oughtta...
On spring break right now, gotta type 8 pages-double spaced worth of jibberish for my writing intensive class and work at the restaurant is always a bitch. Basically got like 3 days to put in 10k more hands. In the beginning of march I set a goal of putting in 50K hands for the month, but for no real reason. I just want to make that $$$ yo.
Been avg 8 tabling the nl 50 with even red line, but then I semi tilted and swung my red line down but whatevers. Starting to run below ev but really can't complain since the majority of the month i've either been running at EV or slightly above it. I just want to make sure I keep my sanity and consistently put in quality work.
Mid term on Tues, studying for a few hours now, got to the 2nd part of the studyguides, and now im like !?!?!?! Putting the same fkn numbers in my calculator and my answers always turn out different wtf.
Why do I do this to myself? Fuk I gotta stop daydreaming in class all the time.
Progress so far this year, bulk of it is really within around a 1 month time span. 6-12 tabling but I still need to work on a whole lot of shit obv including trying to not vent the tilt on the poker tables.
Time to subscribe to CardRunners to shake off them bad habbits that makes one only have marginal results.
It's about that time again. Been playing more like a hobby every now and then during these past couple months. Deposited $500 and semi-tilted my way up to $1850 =/. I feel like it's a good time for me to start playing more semi regularly with more concentration (no more 12 tabling bumhunting micro fish while watching SC2 streams ). Now that I'm going to take a nl 50 stab, I think it would be helpful to start subscribing to a coaching vid site again just to help prevent less ??? situations.
What's a good coaching site nowadays? It's been almost like 1.5 years since I downloaded a new coaching vid. I have no clue about all these new coaches.
So yeah, I work at restaurant that pay's me in 100% cash. They do not report my hours and I don't have any other form of reported income. Tax season is comin up and I'm not sure wether I should actually report my hours or not. The owner of the restaurant says she'll report my hours whenever I want to have them reported but for now it's a mutually agreement that I'm not reported. So I'm not gonna have that W2 form.
I used to work at this restaurant long before, then I came back starting around a year ago as a server and I make around 900-1250 a month just working weekends. Should I be worrying about the IRS getting on my shit? How would they find out?
