Another Up and down session
  acdawg712, Apr 11 2007

Ended with 120 last night. My piece of shit computer was working so I went up to my dorm's computer lab and somehow found a way to install stars.

I started my 40BB buyin at the most profitable tables and was up to 6. The start was not good.

I grinded at the beginning with my stacks relatively even.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=172703 Played poorly

My stacks gradually fell.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/172705 The guy had been a donk, oops

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/172708 ouch

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/172710 1st hand present

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/172711 Same table 3 minutes later, ship ship

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/172712 Final big hand

I ended up even for the session. I feel my breakthrough slowly creeping towards me, mainly by reading these forums I feel I am learning a lot.

More Foolishness
  acdawg712, Apr 11 2007

Since my last post, there's been a massive roller coaster. I almost doubled my br then proceeded to lose about 1/3 of it.

It started with this

http://www.liquidpoker.info/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=172305 Give me that 260 BB hand

http://www.liquidpoker.info/h/172405 oops committed myself

http://www.liquidpoker.info/h/172406 that guy would donk me chips eventually

http://www.liquidpoker.info/h/172407 Group effort

http://www.liquidpoker.info/h/172408 Really thought he had AK

http://www.liquidpoker.info/h/172409 owned again

Right now I stand at 100 available, 13 in play. At least this provides amusement

Roller Coaster
  acdawg712, Apr 10 2007

Yesterday went pretty well. It started when my shortstacking multitabling NL 25 dropped me from 75 to 30. I then clawed my way back up to 96 doing the same thing.

Today was quite an adventure. I decided to 6 table shortstack 25 on my shitty laptop screen and lost about 50. I shipped 20 to a friend so i wouldn't lose all of it and put the rest on a NL 50 table. It went well.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=172253 Ship it up.

Left that table with 40.

Then went to another table with some donk daniseri. Raised everything with ass and overplayed every hand. He had 100 dollars and blew it all, with about 32 going me.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=172253 good start

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=172257 did not mean to bet that much but good thing he is a donk

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=172249 i nearly threw my computer after the turn and river.

That's it for now. Have to do a good amount of work for my 2 math classes. More later.

Failure
  acdawg712, Apr 09 2007

As soon I post my last entry about staying within my limits and i decide to short stack NL 25. I lose 4 buys, ship back 10 i owe my friend, and put the rest on the line, a total of 14. The results were nasty.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=171393 nice

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=171399 interesting hand would like some analysis

I don't think ill be able to [play "correct" online poker until the summer. I'm not sure what I'll do until then.

The Return
  acdawg712, Apr 08 2007

Ironically, I have not played much after starting this blog. Also, I played out of my limits, and lost all but $10. I took a week off and received a transfer of $10 from a friend to play during 2 weekends ago. I finally played 5 AM sunday putting it all on the line at a NL 25 and got 2 outted on the river.

This weekend, I started again and managed to stay within my limits. I was able to turn $10 to $44. There aren't many great hands at NL 5 but here are the big ones that didn't require just blind luck.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=171117 The overbet works.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=171119 Decent hand, lol at river and results

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=171230 Pretty sick 1 outer

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=171234 crazies

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=171355 probably the best hand, not saying much haha.

Small Adjustments
  acdawg712, Mar 20 2007

I ran my 20 into 40 in NL 25 and had 130 before i dropped to 37. I know no one really cares, but I'd like to write it down before I forget.

Introductory Post
  acdawg712, Mar 20 2007

Hi, my name is Alan. I have been playing poker for 2 years and real online poker for about 6 months, pretty on and off. I had limited success at first, turning 4.25 into 50 but lost it over a span of a month. During my winter break I got transferred $20, I won 5th and $200 in a 2.75 MTT. I decided to play NL 25 with only 8 buys along with adding the 3R I initially did well, increasing my roll to 250. But the variance of NL 25 hit me, dropping my down to 120 due to making hero calls, overplaying top pair, making bad bluffs, and not being able to overpairs. I lost even more until i was down to 15. I went to up to 150 but dropped down to 100. Then in a hungover state, I must have rebought 11 times in the 3R and lost 18 ish on the side. I tried to cash out but it got rejected so I decided to play. I dropped down to 30 ish due to some bad SNG beats and put the rest of a NL 50 table and obviously lost it all. I got transferred $20 ran it up to $50 but lost it all. I placed in the PPA freeroll and got $3.50 and ran it up to 80 ish. I lost about 30 of it and transferred the $20 i owed to someone. I put the rest (20)on a NL50 table in part to a massive runner runner suckout. I put it all on the time in NL 100 and ran it up to 80. Then i finally decide to play NL 10. I did well but i dropped to 37 on a bad day. Then I decided to finally play within my bankroll and dropped down to NL 5 and have slowly moved to $74. I am writing this to not only record my hand for me to review but also to ensure I remain in my bankroll.
