HBO's new milkcow to take the throne away from GoT
A series inspired by the 1973 film of the same title written by Michael Crichton about a futuristic theme park populated by artificial beings.

Pilot 100%.
there is a light at the end of the tunnel... (but sometimes the tunnel is long and deep as hell)

Liked it. Seemed it was more horror than sci-fi or western but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I paid for a month of HBO Now to watch Silicon Valley, Vice Principals, Ballers, and The Night Of. Thats like every single good show HBO even has. I canceled at the start of the month before this came out. No way am I going to resub just for one single show to be released on a shitty weekly basis. Instead I'm watching like 15 things on Netflix. I dont think HBO can survive the long run by having 3 original shows per year or whatever.
looks good. but i dont think i'll be really into it like GoT.

I mean... you can always thepiratebay it and subscribe if u like it ? :D
I'm split about the show, this has to be insanely well thought of to be made good, there are just so many aspects that seem like a longshot for the show to actually work.
P.S.
For anyone that liked Daredevil/ Jessica Jones -> Luke Cage is out and even if you dont like the series, check out the soundtrack especially Raphael Saadiq's songs, super good
Ballim you hate on everything I like. I saw you commenting in a sc2 thread, you must play terran
I really enjoyed the first two episodes. The story is based on a Michael Crighton book, so you know its going to be epic and the science is going to be somewhat founded.
I enjoyed watching Hopkins have dinner with one of the older models, just seemed like a guy he liked to have dinner with. Really interesting how the AI is supposed to slightly change their behavior based on past experiences with the clients. The client interaction has been largely traumatic though, and that trauma seems to be seeping into their programing.
Pretty awesome concept. Im trying to decide what I would do first in west world, but I know myself well enough and realize I would have never gotten passed the red headed host.

There is a lot of crap in this world that need all the hating it can get, and this shows appears to be one of those things at least judging from that shitty video.
I did play terran, not hard to figure out since I was saying arbiters are OP though

I didn't read the book but Westworld was actually a pretty good old scifi/western movie. What's interesting though is that the main villain of the movie was one of the robots basically malfunctioning and going on a killing spree so I just sort of assumed that was the basic plot of this show. It turns out, the Ed Harris character who seemed like he was going to be the main killer robot, is actually a perverted human guest. So the HBO show is actually flip flopping the entire plot. The robots, while they are developing consciousness, become the heros of the show, while the humans (or at least some of them) are the villains.

Does bring up a lot of moral questions generations ahead of us are going to have to answer ^_^

Liked it so far. Seems like they are simply building the world right now which is to be expected of any good show. Stacked with a lot of really good actors.
Love the concept. I can see it being really cool and I can also see it go in directions that are really lame. I lean towards good because I have faith in HBO since they've created so much awesome content
Hey Im slinging mad volume and fat stackin benjies I dont got time for spellin n shit - skinny pete
The bots developing a religion around the men wearing hazmat suits is just too cool.
Really intriguing, I wonder how much the Anthony Hopkins character has seen before and whether or not he realizes the bots are having these internal, off script, "thoughts". He seems to have a better understanding of what the bots are capable of, much more so than anyone that works for him. That discord is strange, its almost like hes hand picked certain employees to work on specific parts of the park based on their personalities.
Have they mentioned how long the park has been open? Trying to put together a time line is difficult. I would expect many more engineers in key spots being there from the beginning, but as noted earlier, most of the employees seem new.
"Orions belt has 3 stars not 4."
Ed Harris is a bad ass, great scene when he yelled at one his employees for trying to discuss life outside of the park. Really ticked him off. In our future I foresee people becoming addicted to VR/augmented reality and raging if people interfere with their fantasies.
Cant wait until sunday and it has nothing to do with my mediocre fantasy football team.
