Other

- On September 9, two fighters pulled out from their bouts: Brian Ortega and Bobby Green were expected to face Hacran Dias and Joshua Burkman, respectively. Ortega was replaced by Andre Fili, while Green was replaced by promotional newcomer Zak Ottow.
- Sergio Pettis was scheduled to face Louis Smolka at the event. However, Pettis pulled out of the fight on September 22 citing what his trainer described as "a minor injury". Smolka will remain on the card and is expected to face Brandon Moreno.

I give Dodson the edge early but lineker the edge after the 2nd round. Dodson seems to go into auto pilot mode sometime in the 2nd round and just kinda coasts and his output just drops really low. Lineker hasn't been 5 rounds before but he's a lil guy and they usually got good cardio and never seen him gas so I'll give him the benefit. So I think if it goes past 2 Lineker starts to take over via volume.

I think both guys will be weary of each others power early, increasing the likelihood of it going past 2 rounds, so I favor Lineker.

Hope Will Brooks shows his potential in this fight. Dude beat chandler which is no easy task. I personally had Chandler 2-0 against Eddie Alvarez. I think if he is at that form in the UFC I think he can give anyone in the division a lot of trouble.

Smolka is always in fun fights so hope he wins. His side kick finish was one of my favorite finishes ever.

Going big on Dodson here, maybe a parlay with Brooks.

Love lineker and would be sick to see him get a title shot, haven't gone wrong betting him yet.

But Dodson is so fast I don't see him getting pinned against the fence and just eating brutal full force hook after hook

I like the over on the Dodson Linekar fight, it's set at 2.5 on a 5 round fight at even money. I wouldn't be shocked to see either guy get an early finish, but I'd be mildly surprised. Linekar for the reasons started above about Dodson's speed, and Dodson because Linekar is absurdly durable and Dodson will probably play it safe early.

Also, he looked good during weigh-ins, so I wouldn't worry too much. Weighing in early also helps fighters who don't good with cutting weight, cuz they get an extra 5+ hours on top of what they usually get. Since Lineker is in the main event, he gets at least 33 hours to re-hydrate, whereas people who fight first on the card get 27.5 to 28 hours to re-hydrate (if my shitty math is correct).

Him missing weight by 1/2 a pound at 135 means less to me than missing weight by 2, 3, and 4 pounds at 125.

He has made weight at both 125 and 135 on several occasions. It seems to me as if Lineker lacks discipline when it comes to keeping himself in-shape when he isn't fighting. Some guys, like Faber, keep their weight relatively low all-year round, while guys like Chad Mendes balloon up when they don't have a fight scheduled and could never take a short notice fight and expect to perform at their best.

Anyway, if I originally picked Lineker to win, I wouldn't trip over him missing weight at 135. Missing weight at 125 is a different story.

Well I'm sure he was badly drained at FLW, at the same time I assume he is also super drained here otherwise he would have made the weight. He had to have known missing weight for the 5th time would be absolutely horrible for him and might cost him his UFC contract or force him up to 145 or at the very least a huge amount of money. I'd assume he did absolutely everything possible to lose that extra .5 pounds.

Also I'm concerned with him being in shape. He didn't look as lean as he has for his other BW fights. Missing weight at FLW makes sense, he's too big for the division. Missing weight at 135 makes no sense, it should be a relatively easy cut for him. I mean he's 5'3''. Yet he still missed, which makes me think he probably had an injury which didn't allow him to train as hard as usual. Or he's just retarded.

Burkman vs. Ottow is at Welterweight, not Lightweight.

I had the wrong weight class listed. Ottow wanted 170 cuz he took it on short notice.

Aside from getting dropped by a shot I didn't even see, Frankenstein looked great in this fight. Granted, his opponent wasn't elite, but he showed vast improvements in this fight when compared to his previous fights.

48-47 Dodson for me. Thought first round was clear Dodson. Feels like Lineker's ridiculous chin not only helps him in the obvious ways but also helps with judges in that it's easy to discount the damage landing on him because he barely flinches after being caught clean before launching into his flurries

They were pretty even but Likener was pushing the action chasing Dodson all over the ring and that is going to win in most cases in close fights

That is a good point, I agree most fighters are pretty brutish and dumb.
