Thinking of the pace top LW's usually keep inside the UFC for 5 rounds, this gas fest is pretty embarrassing. Respect to Newell for being one tough sum bitch though and accomplishing what he has with one full arm.
Gaethje gassed harder than he ever has before. Although, he is known for having cardio issues. Not a good sign for him. Newell just can't beat any higher mid-tier level fighter because of his arm. If he can't get you clinched and controlled, then it's over.
Yeah he looked great in the beginning but started to slow down, then he got hit with some nasty bodyshots which sure did not help his cardio
