Following his triumph against Gerard Piqué in Monday's heads up of the €25k Single-Day High Roller, Juan Pardo snagged yet another trophy today: he conquered the €50k event.

The back-to-back epic victories saw the Spaniard claim €1.5 million. Pardo earned €491,600 yesterday but he quickly topped it with today's result. The 25-year-old from Malaga picked up his first career seven-figure prize, pocketing €1,013,860.

Pardo outlasted a field of 76 entries (including 24 re-entries). The top 11 finishers shared a €3,686,760 prize pool.

"I'm beyond happy," Pardo said. "I know this is something that might happen once in a lifetime."

While Pardo became the first two-time champion at EPT Barcelona, he has no intention of slowing down.

"I'm already thinking about tomorrow's goal, which is to make Day 3 of the Main Event. That's what matters," he said.

As he was busy winning high rollers during the starting days, Pardo will have to come back before noon to register straight into Day 2. He will start with just under 20 big blinds.

But that might not be a problem. Pardo's triumphs came in events with fast blind-level structures, so he's proved to be well prepared for a short-stack grind.
