I attribute part of my downfall in poker [PART!] to developing a concern for my financial situation.

Maybe he developed such a concern, for whatever reason, and he felt he needed to cheat to make sure he won.

in a capitalist society, you'd have to be mentally retarded (literally) to not care about money. Poker players who say they don't care about money just do it to sound cool. But they are blowing smoke up your ass.

I always interpret "I don't care about money" as "I care about lots of other things more than I care about money." But yeah, some people are just bullshitting you to sound cool. Money can definitely buy you health and freedom and give you more opportunities for love and happiness.

Money can definitely buy you love,happiness and freedom ... and health to some extent, which is yet to be fully developed. And no I don't mean hookers when it comes to love , i mean paying people to educate you on matters so you improve yourself, even ppl that can teach you how to flirt and shit.
