life's been great the past few days. i've just been feeling alot better than i normally do (i used to feel like i constantly had these mild headaches during the entire day). and maybe depression is lightening up a bit as well~~

anyway i've got a few minutes before i go over to a friend's place and watch/eat/eat some football/pizza/wings etc.

can't even believe my string of winning sessions at nl50 but lately but i've started to doubt my game (despite the good results). Mainly because i feel like i play pretty decent and win some small monies and then cooler a guy with a set or an over pair or some higher flush. i mean i get coolered all the time too, but i don't feel like i'm out thinking my opponents as much as i thought i was (ie i don't really bluff/call to thin/etc). i'm trying to fight the trend towards nonchalant robotic play and have therefore been trying to analyze some hands. hopefully this gets in before the end-of-month-results blog posts.

i'm probably going to do this pretty regularly and thanks in advance for all the advices.

Hand 1 + Show Spoiler +

i feel like if he had raised bigger on the flop i would have been more inclined to 3 bet. but i mean he gave me pretty decent odds i think. and i don't think there's any fold equity on the flop anyway. so i think call on flop is a no-brainer. on the turn, i opt to c/r in case he has a combo draw or some pair like JJ TT with a heart. i don't really know about my play here. and to be honest i had a brain lapse where i thought this was a 3 bet pot (because when i hold ak it's almost always a 3 bet pot) so i think i probably weighted his range more towards pairs. what line do you guys like here?

Hand 2 + Show Spoiler +

was gonna bluff the river, but that's such a weird rundown of cards, as it hits nearly all draws, 2 pairs, etc. i also beat JT, T9, etc other low pairs on the flop. didn't really think a bluff here would fold out much that i didn't beat anyway. i normally 3 bet pf, but i just sat at table and i tend to be a bit more showdown happy earlier in the session. flop/turn completely standard? c/r turN?

Hand 3 + Show Spoiler +

i normally cbet ~100% of flops heads up, but am trying to put an effort into checking occasionally with air/draws/top pair hands. i raise turn because i think my hand's best, plenty worse call here (JT, T9, 77-JJ) and i think my hand is somewhat disguised. i'm hesitant to let go of this hand because i just started checking top pair, and doubt opponent knows that. also my line does not make that much sense and opponent may do something retarded with a pair of Tens or JJ. in any case i butchered the hand somewhat, and didn't want to call because of that

Hand 4 + Show Spoiler +

4 bet pot, i'm pretty sure i have the nuts. questioning my flop bet, i think AK with and without K clubs probably reshoves here? If KK QQ JJ call here with a club i think i'm ok with that too cause they are drawing pretty thin as well. thoughts?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some bluffs...i think bet sizing is extremely important to bluffing and i'm pretty sure i fucked a lot of it up.

bluff 1 + Show Spoiler +

not a super strong combo draw, but i think i fold out the higher flush draws which i think is crucial. prob fold out everything here except for sets and high overpairs? when do you like flat call and when do you like raise? a problem i see is that villain bets half pot on turn 6 into 12, and i'm getting 3:1 here. i guess reads prob dictate if i raise (his half pot bet=weakness) or flat (his half pot bet=inducing a raise)

bluff 2 + Show Spoiler +

pretty standard i think, he gives up lead on turn, and once he checks river i feel like i'm golden here.

1: villain dependent. If he is solid you have 0% fe and are against sets and flushes, against passive fish I fisypump shove and against aggrofish its ez call.
2: Don't like the call oop, flop call, turn call + he seems tight making the calls even worse.
3: bet flop
4: w/e I bet more -.-
5: fold flop
6: I fold pre.

1. think turn play is pretty spewy, unless he's bluffing a high % you should fold imo
2. c/f turn as played w/o read. planning to c/c c/c donk as a bluff seems really weird and bad? if u're going to bluff I think c/r on either flop or turn is going to work much better.
3. I like calling turn, calling river here when he leads, I think the range that he goes bet/call, check/call with is pretty small compared to his range of stuff that's either folding or 3betting and when he 3bets the turn and you have no read it really really sucks.
4. I dont think the range that players call 4bets with usually contains the hands that are standard to 5bet shove, I'd say its more like AQ/broadway hands/suited connectors/random retarded stuff so on this flop he has air a very large % and I'd try to take a line that I think'll make my opponent spazz.

bluff1. I think calling and playing the river is a better option, again I think he's raising or folding more often than he's calling so you're just putting yourself in kindof a bad spot and you really dont have so much equity here that you want to get allin. if he's weak you can probably win the pot on the river when he gives up, if he bets again and you for some reason still think he's weak you can always raise then which looks stronger than a turn raise aswell. in general I think being in position and/or having concealed outs are reasons to flat rather than raise with draws.

bluff2. I'd usually check back turn and expect to be good, the range of hands that beat you that he's folding is pretty slim, basically just KT/KQ? or I guess some Ax if he takes this line with them.

1. fold flop. how do you expect to get paid off on a 4 flush board + you might pay off an Ah anyways + do you really think your A or K outs are any good ever?
2. 3bet pre for value sb vs btn. as played if his range for barreling the K is wide i don't cc the turn... i'd check raise. he can check back so many JJ or Tx on the river when you miss and you end up looking so dumb if you just cc turn. as an aside if you wanted to bluff you should have straight up just potted the spade river since you shouldn't have air in your range at all when you donk pot the river.
3. bet flop or flat turn. raising turn is damn terrible. raising almost always folds out his bluffs and worse made hands.
4. i don't think halfpot is bad. the pots huge and he never has odds + he'll be forced to call a turn bet on a brick and you've put him all in without ever getting the right "effective" odds.
5.if he cbets a LOT i also float bdfds bdstraightdraws or overs a lot... i think turn is good you can definitely rep a monster here, i think i shove river always if called.
6. wp i love it you have enormous FE on the river. i don't think there's a single hand he can call unless he's retarded enough to c/c a flush draw on the turn.

in hand one your hand becomes face up if you flat the raise on the flop and on the turn you're always going to be either a) folding b) spewing c) never getting action. bet/calling flop is huge spew...

you can bet slightly bigger on hand 4 if it's going to make it easier for him to call both flop + turn.. like if he peels 13 but folds to 24 on the turn.. -_-;;
