I have decided to post this as a daily report to increase my day to day poker. I hope to be playing 1-2k+ hands a day, and by August 27th have a $400 bankroll. Right now I'm sitting at $235. I think I can do it, as I have just got really into poker again.
So today started off like shit. I put in maybe 1k hands on my laptop sitting in bed watching the olympics on TV. After about 5-600 hands I am up about $3 on NL5. I am dealt KK and raise from UTG. The button minraises to $0.75 after my raise to $0.40. So naturally, I raise to $2.30 and he calls. Flop comes 2 5 9 rainbow, and I think I'm good so I raise the pot value hoping to get it in, and he shoves and has me covered, I call, and he shows AA. Natural cooler, so whatever.
Next hand, I'm dealt KQs and run into AQs on Q 5 8 rainbow flop, he is a calling station and I end up losing $4 to him. I think I should have checked the river, as I was pretty sure he had AQ anyway, but I guess I was a little anxious to get more money from losing $10 the hand before. Oh well.
Then, at around 7-8 pm I log back into Pokerstars on my desktop and notice I have a bankroll of only $210 lost 2 buyins earlier T.T oh well, time to make it back. Ended the day to a bankroll of $235.
I emailed Pokerstars, and I'm waiting on my entire lifetime hand histories to put into my laptop's PokerTracker.
Tomorrow, I'll post hands that I am confused about, need thoughts on, and my biggest loses and see if I should have played them differently.
I'm hoping to hit $250 tomorrow and if I do I'll call it quits for the day, to get a headstart on NL10 on Tuesday.
I watched 2 tables of NL10 earlier today, and took notes on all of the players, and afterwards, I was able to literally say what each player had at any given hand, because of how detailed my notes were. I guess its because Microstakes players play 1 certain style. For example, one player I noted only minraises with KK and AA a raise, otherwise he will limp, and raise like $4 on flop or shove if someone raises, no matter the flop. I hope these notes will come in handy when I move up. I hope I do well.
Well, here is to a new beginning of my poker career. Let's see how it goes. See you tomorrow.
