this is pretty sick in a bad way, im pretty sure its fake tho. You could turn the car off, or put it in neutral, or hold the break down really hard and prolly stop the car, or just figure out taht the pedal is stuck and flip it back up.

some people are pretty stupid, it's not fake at all though, toyota really had problems with their 2009/2010 cars, camry, corolla, some lexus models also... all this same problem, but yeah most people wold have thought to put it on neutral, but this guy was prob really panicked and kind of clueless

i wonder if my lexus has this problem.

i used a ton of cruise control driving cross country. it went pretty smooth. i'm really surprsied they didnt think to put it in neutral? i think he said he was in a lexus. he probably couldnt shut it off because its a push start and i doubt it will shut the engine when you're going at a high speed. but still, neutral woulda probably been no problem.

I didn't finish listening, as I have no fascination with listening to someone die, but this event is well-known, not a hoax, and helped contribute to a massive recall by Toyota. If you have a Toyota (as I do), it should not be too hard to search on the Internet and find if your model is part of the recall. I don't think any Lexus is on the list.

Wtf Fayth?

This happened to my Acura once. I put it in neutral but then it started red-lining naturally, so then I just turned it off and went into the emergency lane. Pedal got stuck to the floor somehow. But yeah the human race is pretty stupid and people will drive 120mph for 20 straight minutes on the freeway with a stuck pedal and never once think about turning the car off or hitting emergency brake, or just grinding their car into a side wall or something etc etc.

yea people are pretty stupid. Some would even suggest hitting emergency brake or grinding car on a side wall @120 mph.

turn the car off, parking brake? like wtf? i feel bad cause apparently they did die, but seriously engine off = no more acceleration.

they actually ceased production of camrys, rav4, corolla and matrix in Canada too I believe...

That car apparently from comments was KEYLESS ignition, how you turn off a keyless car I have no idea because I have never owned one. It apparently was a loaner car as well, so he may have literally just got that car. How many people get into someone else's car and drive and instantly feel that weird sensation of how you are not as comfortable as your own while you try to figure out what does what. Anyways, i dont' know what car it was or if they were fat people or if someone was disabled or anything, all I know is fucking Toyota.

yeah, im pretty sure my keyless toyota made car is impossible to shut off while running. that being said, you can still put it in neutral and possibly shut it down from there.

since you dont seem to catch my jolly drift ill elaborate on what im saying.
pulling a handbrake or crushing into a road barrier at 120 mph will get you deaded long before the intersection.
So all you smart ass folk who criticize a man no longer with us for stupidity while not understanding the concept of basic physics, well yall should be embarrassed.
