Uli Hoeness sued for tax defraud

Uli Hoeness the president of Bayern Munich (bayern who? gtfo!) got sued today to 3yrs & 6 months in jail for defrauding taxes at around 30Mio €.

It was a spectacular trial here in germany that caught a fucking lot of attention! In germany they established a rule in 2012: If you defrauded taxes but report yourself to the police, you could get out free (ofc you had to pay back the taxes).
Alot of german high rollers had their money banked in swiss and lithunia banks and fake companies and whatsoever just to avoid taxes in germany but celebrated theirselves as honest and good ppl (just like hoeness did).
But germany kept buying data from swiss banks to reveal those tax defraud of german high rollers and alot of them got afraid and reported themselves.

Hoeness did this aswell but quite late (some ppl already investigated the case).
His lawyers said that his report was complete and successful.
The judge found that this was not the case and that he did everything on purpose and was just trying to disguise his actions now and being more of a pretender.

Besides that Hoeness stated in early 2013 that he was honest with taxes at all points. also at on point he pointed out that he donated 5mio € to charity and that this was much more than the taxes that he defraud.
Through the trial it became clear that he defrauded AT LEAST 30 Mio€ (the exact amount is still unclear since he submitted nessecary files for his tax proofs just before the trial began).

This was huuuuge in germany and is history for german tax law!

TBH, throughout my childhood I used to hate American Football (aka - football) with a passion. Now that I'm older and have been into it for ~6 years, I gotta say it's an incredible sport. Hockey's great and all, but the players can't really go balls out 82 games in a season - playoffs are where it's at. Baseball is just horrendously boring to watch (but awesome to play imo), and I am amazed at how many people like Basketball (African Handball). Even regular season games in football are intense as hell, literally every game matters. And these athletes are incredible specimens, jesus. Just look at them lol.

Soccer can f itself, what a sissy sport. Diving and being a little bitch is so prevalent in that sport. That being said, I love watching the highlights - those guys are crazy talented.

on topic - 3.5 years for stealing ~30 mill? He'll probably serve two and a half.. so ~12 mill euros profit per year of prison time.

I would fucking call that. You know that geography is not only about placing cities on a map ? climatology, hydrology are part of it so as almost any aspect of science when studied considering spatial disparity.
If you meant that sorry for calling it this way, but most of the time, by being good at a game that only consists in placing some cities on a map one calls itself expert in geography.
Btw, I know shit about US geography.
