How is noone excited Wobbly won like 50k yesterday

Wobbly goes ahead and wins like 100k from DN and company, biggest day ever for LP aside for Sunday Million scores, (since I've been here) Obv not since the beginning so I might be wrong, then I'm railing him at $50/$100 yesterday and he won like $50k from some spaz. If $100k is his best day how is the $50k the next day not huge news also.

for me it's because I actually think he's a pretty horrible person and him being good at poker doesn't change that at all. most other big winners have struck me as fairly cool people, wobbly however is just a vain braggart and if anything, an embodiment of what I dislike about the poker community. wow look at me I can make lots of money doing nothing of value, please give me props.

LP is such a small community and yet everyone hates each other. I don't understand it at all. Who cares if wobbly brags a little bit, or any high stakes guys, as there are like 100 - 200 people left at lp who are active you would think people would start being nicer to one another. Not to mention the vast amount of trolling that goes on in any low stakes post.

It's not like everyone really hates each other. There's just a lot of big egos on this site so disagreements and disputes can get kinda strong.

The low stakes trolling is because, well... the quality of play most of the time is hilariously bad. You'd probably troll to if you were a mid/high stakes player looking at the crap played out sometimes.

Fuck the jibber jabber, let's get to some substance. Wobbly reported elky for "cheating" (openly wanting to flip in a tournament) which resulted in a suspension of elky's pro status for about a week. Pretty hard not to call a guy a douche bag and an asshole for reporting such a thing. Not to mention, the guy brags about having threesomes but have you seen the pic of his gf? I can't imagine just how ugly those desperate whores had to be if he's a millionaire and the best he can do is a 3.5/10.

QFT. Most nerds, use the internet forums to try to "balance" out the social life that they lack in the real world. It's a great outlet for people with no real friends/etc so they go online to try to gain some respect from online community. E.G. Look at guys like iop, f4zi with thousands posts putting up pictures of how baller they are just to gain LP respect. BTW most people dont give a damn where you've been, who u've been with... put that stuff on facebook where people might actually care. Theres a fine line between the obvious attempt to brag about your fake cool life, and portraying recent events etc.
