Other

- The event was expected to be headlined by a bantamweight rematch between Urijah Faber and Raphael Assuncao. However, on February 2, Assuncao was forced out of the bout as his ankle, injured in mid-December of 2014, was slow to heal and he was unable to resume the proper training to prepare for the fight in that time frame. The UFC also removed Faber from the card and promoted a welterweight bout between Demian Maia and Ryan LaFlare to the main event.
- Matt Wiman was expected to face Leonardo Santos at the event. However on February 11, Wiman pulled out of the bout citing a back injury and was replaced by Tony Martin.
- Josh Thomson was expected to face Gilbert Burns at the event. However on February 26, Thomson pulled out of the fight with an undisclosed injury, while Burns is expected to remain on the card against Alex Oliveira.
- Ben Saunders was expected to face Erick Silva at the event. However on March 6, Saunders pulled out of the bout due to an injury. He was replaced by Josh Koscheck. Koscheck had previously fought just 21 days before this event at UFC 184, losing his fight against Jake Ellenberger.

First impression of the match-ups:

- LaFlare > Maia (As long as LaFlare doesn't get careless in round 1 and let Maia take him down, he should win easily. LaFlare is a legit wrestler, has good BJJ skills, better striking, trains striking with Henry Hooft, is stronger, and is 6 years younger with much less MMA damage to his body. The thing that has held LaFlare back is injuries over the years.)
- Silva > Koscheck (u1.5 rounds -140 is the bet for me.)
- Santos vs. Martin (Not sure. Martin is a beast in the first round, but always gases if he can't finish his opponent within the first 5 minutes. Santos is legit on the ground, so if he gets past round 1, he can win via submission and decision.)
- Nunes > Baszler
- Burns > Oliveira
- Castro > Fili (This should be a great fight, but Castro's BJJ and hometown advantage will enable him to throw wild shots on the feet and probably get a trip-take down at some point. Fili has outs, but I think only via decision.)
- Arreola > Trinaldo
- Souza > Kikuno
- Silva > Dober
- Mafra > Carrizosa
- Giagos > Oliveira
- Syler vs. Serrano (dunno)

I don't like the way they fully match Brazillians vs Non-Brazillians. I feel there should be an emphasis on that, but not every single fight.

What if Maia and Koscheck were both -110. Would you still bet on them?

I don't understand how you can think Koscheck is being underrated. There's no real reason or evidence for you to think so.

Erick Silva sucks, but Koscheck is done as well, At this odds I think there is value in betting Kos, though.

I will only watch the co-main and the main event, this is one of the worst cards ever.

No i wouldn't
Maia i think i need at least +130.
Koshek for sure not. I think theres value at like +350 or better. The reason i say hes underrated is he lost his last 4 fights, but 3 of them were to really good fighters. And hes last fight, i personally think he got unlucky with the eye thing.

You're correct. Prior to fighting Ellenberger, Koscheck had only lost to those 3 top guys, which is what I told you on Skype. However, he showed everyone that he is STILL not mentally over the beating GSP gave him many years ago, in that he can't take any damage to the eye or he'll start touching it and eventually lose the fight altogether because his eye is all he's thinking about.

So basically, he didn't get unlucky with the eye thing, he just never got over his original eye issue. I lost $40-$50 on Koscheck in his last fight because of his eye thing.

In his last fight, Koshek was +130, and he fought a fairly strong opponement.
This time, hes going to be about +340 and hes fightning someone weaker.
Its different imo. His eyes issue could happen, but its not gonna happen every fights.

You and I don't know if Koscheck's eye issue will/won't happen every fight. All we can go off of is that it's happened in other fights after the GSP fight, and this is the final fight on Koscheck's contract, and he's only still around because he's been with the UFC since the first season of The Ultimate Fighter and Dana White is letting him finish this last fight on his contract.

IMO, Silva is more dangerous than Ellenberger in round 1, especially in 2015. Ellenberger stopped going all-in about 4 fights ago, cuz he always used to go hard in round 1 and then gas out. Since he switched to a new camp, he's learned how to box and be more patient. Silva hits hard, is fast, and has the best BJJ that Koscheck has faced in many many years.

Go ahead and place your bet on Koscheck, I hope he wins, but no way will I risk 1 cent on him.

LaFlare > Maia - I agree with Rican's logic although I definitely wouldn't bet on it at the current odds
Silva > Koscheck - Silva should finish Koscheck quickly - will bet him ITD and maybe parlay him with Fili and Nunes
Nunes > Baszler - If Baszler can't grapple she has nothing
Burns > Oliveira - Should be an easy win for him
Fili > Castro - Fili beats his ass on the feat and can avoid the ground game if he wants to be smart

Don't care or know enough about the rest.

Well in theory Koscheck could try to emulate Fitch and wrestle Silva until he gasses

I don't understand the Silva vs Koscheck line. Will be looking to bet $75 at +350.

You almost twin-caracked his AK - JonnyCosmo

Brazilian cards allow The Buff to fuck random Brazilian women. I mean, who doesn't want a piece of "The Voice of the Octagon"?

Did you get to take advantage of Overeem's -140 to -150 line last weekend? I didn't bet it, but it was a super juicy line when you look back at his performance.
