First impression of the match-ups:

• JDS > Miocic
• RDA > Diaz (RDA is better than Diaz in every area of MMA. Diaz is mostly known for his boxing, but RDA's boxing is superior atm, and RDA has more power in his punches.)
• Overeem > Struve (lmao... Anyway, I think this is a good match-up for Overeem. Struve has terrible defense, doesn't have 1-punch KO power, has been away from competitive MMA for 1.5 years with a broken jaw and then his heart problem, and I think Overeem will be able to land his knees like he did with Brock Lesnar. I won't bet this fight, obv.)
• Gonzaga > Mitrione
• Moraga > Gates (Should be a good fight, and it's the one I'm most looking forward to on the prelims.)
• Gadelha > Jedrzejczyk (If Gadelha can't get the take downs, it will be bad for her, especially since Jedrzejczyk has the better cardio, imo.)
• Saunders > Riggs
• Varner > Dober
• Brunson > Herman
• Ellenberger vs. Barberena (dunno)
• Michaud vs. Whiteley (dunno)
• Cejudo > Kimura
• Birchak > Entwistle

Great main card. Dont know the odds yet but I will definitely bet Dos Santos by KO.

Overall, this card is sick good. It's not often that we get 13 fights on a UFC card anymore. I remember 2-3 cards with 13 people in 2014 didn't happen because 1-2 fights always got cancelled due to injury.

Also, there is another UFC event this Friday. I have to wait until Wednesday night to make the thread because it's UFC TUF 20 Finale, and the last 2 fights will be shown tomorrow night.

I think JDS kills Stipe, but I kinda hope Stipe wins and puts on a great performance just to make the HW division more interesting. Because right now it's pretty terrible.

RDA should besmirch Nate pretty handily. His footwork, angles, and kicking game are going to exploit the shit out of Nates awful footwork. Also he can probably out grapple Nate if he needs to. Though RDA has had some off nights where he doesn't look great, and if Nate can land some combo's on him he could be in trouble. RDA is prob like -270ish.

Prior to the Hunt loss, which was actually a really close fight till the broken jaw, Struve was on a hell of a streak. Both these guys seem prone to losing out of nowhere, so I have no idea who to pick. Reem seems like a bad match up for him but who knows.

I don't think Stefan Struve has much of a chance. Seems like the perfect matchup for a dummy like Overreem.

No, I don't think that he can fuck this one up...the thing is that Stefan Struve will also be trying really hard to fuck it up. I don't think Overreem can beat him at that game.

I just hope Struve doesn't have anything internally happen to him during the fight. He was supposed to make his return earlier this year against Matt Mitrione, but he went through some shit right before he was supposed to walk to the octagon.

"Struve was expected to face Matt Mitrione on July 5, 2014 at UFC 175. During the first fight of the main card, however, Struve fainted in the dressing room and had an elevated heart rate. UFC personnel decided to cancel the fight. Struve was later taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons."

After Struve got knocked out against Mark Hunt, he had heart problems (not related to MMA):

"On August 20, 2013 Struve was reported to have suffered from a leaking aortic valve as well as an enlarged heart, doctors found that Stefan has a bicuspid aortic valve, which means that his aortic valve only has two leaflets, instead of three. It was decided to treat his condition with medication for the next two months. On October 8, 2013 reports came that Struve's heart condition was improving and that a return to fighting was still a possibility. November 24, 2013, it was reported that he was ready to return to a full training schedule."

I suppose the doctors have to be extremely careful when allowing anybody with that medical history into the octagon, the UFC doesnt want to risk having a death in camera or something like that so I wouldnt worry about that too much.

I finally found the video that shows Stefan Struve crying backstage right before his fight. He knew his fight was cancelled, and he couldn't do anything about it. This shit was hidden in the UFC 177 thread.

Agree with all the picks, don't think there is much parody on this card. Like the favorites, I have to watch some of Willie Gates' fights because I don't think Moraga is that great and he is a pretty big favorite so there may be some value on the dog there, obviously can't say without watching him fight but I do think Moraga has got to be overrated by the betting public at this point due to his robbery over Ortiz and fluke win over Scoggins.

Think RDA is pretty sure-fire vs Diaz but I liked it better when the odds were closer.

Wouldn't bet on JDS only because of the pounding he's taken from Cain and Miocic is good enough to clip him.

Brunson is a complete lock over Herman.
