Jeans wins $1.7m in April playing PLO

Everyone is freaking out and fighting at the moment because of the DOJ, Osama getting pwned etc. So lets have some nice old-fashioned news of someone running good at making bank at poker.

Jeans aka Ingeneous89 has recently blogged about how April, although bad for U.S. players, was actually pretty good for him.

Jeans is a high-stakes player who won an EPT title in 2009 and scooped 800k euros. Hes like a younger version of Ziigmund.

Being really happy with my last month I really don't know how to describe the feelings of this, ten times better, month. For the last few weeks I've just felt completely in the zone everytime I've played, making some really deep bluffs, herocalls, stabs in right spots, valuebets getting paid off etc etcc and most importantly just running good in general, both EV-wise and in setups. When running good it's just so easy to completely forget the variance and credit it all on outplaying your opposition

He had a $1m session playing 300/600 and won $400k playing 25/50 and lower.

He scored big at EPT, moved up to nosebleeds and I remember reading his blog post not so long ago that he was almost completely broke. I guess that means he didint move down at all and just run hot like sun?

i never really thought this guy was a great player, just one of those overaggros that doesnt have a reason for a lot of the things he does besides pure aggression. perhaps he has improved, perhaps he was always much better than i perceived or perhaps he will busto it all in may. regardless, isnane month and good luck to him whichever it is.

looking at his graph leads me to believe it was a combo of the first 2. thats insane, 270 buyins in 200k hands. he must be a sick beast. whenever overaggros tone it down a little and start having reasons for stuff they do they begin to absolutely murder. just look at vanessa selbst the last 2 years
